Explore Chakra Magic and Witches of the Seasons Tarot with Pamela Chen! Pamela is an author and tarot and oracle deck creator with Llewellyn Worldwide, Hay House, and U.S. Games Systems. Her newest book: Chakra Magic and deck, Witches of the Seasons Tarot has just been released. Pamela is also an Akashic Records teacher, magical business mentor, and manifestation coach. She is the co-founder of a mystery school with her business partner, Alexandra Hanly. Together, they train the next generation of spiritual leaders and mystics to become powerful healers and energetic masters to empower humanity, raise the consciousness of the planet. She lives in Las Vegas, NV.
Pamela studied Reiki and learned how much energy connection influenced her attunement to her higher self. Chakra study is over 5000 years old originating in ancient Indian and Hindu traditions. They came from ancient texts called the Vedas. In her book, she explains all the chakras and how we can discover if a chakra in our body is blocked or activated.Pamela also included magical tools like chakra tarot cards, rituals, manifestation exercises and crystals for each chakra. And witchy and magical ways to align our intentions by attuning to the energies of our chakras.
Next we jump into Pamela's new Witches of the Seasons Tarot deck and how we can align ourselves with the Wheel of the Year using tarot. This is a modern and fun introduction deck if you are a beginner witch and want to learn tarot. If you know the tarot cards; then you can use her deck to connect to seasonal energies to get familiar with the Wheel of the Year.
Pamela had the idea to organize this deck so that the Major Arcana are represented by the equinoxes and solstices and the Minor Arcana are represented by Beltane,Samhain, Lammas, and Imbolc. The suits are one aligned with one sabbat (ex: Wands are Beltane, Cups are Imbolc, Swords are Samhain, Pentacles are Lammas, etc). Each card has a mini ritual you can do to invoke the magical energies, themes and symbols and you can put it on your altar to manifest what you want to call into your life.
Pamela ends our episode with a quick chakra and tarot healing and activation magic with light language to open up and activate our crown chakra energies. Tune in and be enlightened! More about Pamela at: https://www.magicalpam.com

The Oracle of Luna with Bridget Engels presents: Wendy Mata: Bruja Curandera - Author - Founder of Bruja Power Botanica - Shaman - Witch - Fire Priestess
2026/10/10

Explore Mexican Magic,Curanderismo and Brujeria with Wendy Mata! Wendy is the founder of Bruja Power Botanica and is a Bruja Curandera by lineage. She is initiated in Shamanism in Yucatán, trained in Curanderismo and Brujería through her family line, and is a certified Reiki Master and Advanced Pranic Healer. Wendy blends ancestral wisdom with global experience. Before stepping fully into her spiritual path; Wendy led global product launches in cybersecurity and digital forensics. She is the Author of: “Bruja Curandera - Spells, Rituals & Ancestor Work from a Mexican Healer & Witch” by Llewellyn Worldwide. An avid traveler, Wendy shares the ancient wisdom and magic of Mexico to reclaim one’s own inner power through in person and online events.
Wendy’s journey began while growing up in a family that practiced Brujeria Curanderismo in Mexico. A few members of her family were healers and she observed how people would come to some of her family for spiritual cleansing (Limpias), healing, soul retrieval and guidance. Her father got into metaphysics and brought Wendy to his classes where she learned about the power of the mind to manifest possibilities.
We jump into what Brujeria, (Mexican Folk Magic) and how it was always around but shifted through the colonization from the Spanish and influenced by other traditions such as African, Hindu and Jewish. Curanerdismo was much more indigenous and connected to the plants of Mexico and has stayed much more traditional. Wendy is both a Witch (Bruja) and a Healer (Curandera). The basis of Curanderismo is that everything is energy and our bodies, mind and spirit reflect the energies of our environment. If there is an imbalance in any of these; Curanderismo can help bring it back to balance and cleanse/release calcifications, energetic imprints, generational trauma, and unwanted energies in us using plants, stones/crystals, smoke, fire, water, incantations, etc. to reset and reprogram a person’s energetic body to create higher vibrations. Her favorite element to work with in ritual/healing ceremonies is fire.
We explore ancestors which can mean many things to us, not always blood lineage and all that comes with them(the good, the bad & the ugly). They can be ancestors of the heart, such as teachers/mentors, adopted parents, someone who has had an impact on your life. And we also have the ancestors of the land and cultural ancestors. Wendy discusses how there is so much healing and transformation when we recognize that we are not alone. We are the product of decisions of thousands of people that came before us. Wendy mentions that her personal stories in her book came to her from her ancestors in the oral tradition of a story with some information that can be a living teaching.
Wendy's new book is a beautiful tribute to her Mexican ancestry and an Ofrenda (Offering) to her ancestors and people of Mesoamerica. She created this book to remind people of the Mexican folk magic, cultural traditions and invite people to feel comfortable with the old ways also can also be a toolkit to reclaiming your heritage and power as a Bruja The spells, rituals, exercises and incantations are open to everybody as a contemporary spiritual practice as long as they are handled with respect. Ultimately we decide that our lives are going to be different and reclaim our power since we have the power to be the Magia of our lives.

We jump into who Arianhrod is, her mythology and attributes as a beloved and powerful Welsh Goddess! We know of Arianhrod’s mythology from the 4th branch of the Mabinogi. A woman unto herself setting boundaries and standing in her truth. Arianhrod rejects motherhood and rules her own court on an island in the sky (Caer Arianhrod or Caer Sidi) and she is known as a Sovereign Goddess and who spins the fate and destiny of souls, the cycles of time and lunar cycles. Her Welsh name translates to “Silver Wheel.”. She is feminist living her own life on her own terms and who is a celestial (the Aurora Borealis) , sea and land deity. From a cultural/historical context; Arianhrod lived in Celtic Britain at the transition time from matriliny to patriliny. She holds onto the Mother Right and fights for her rights. Arianrhod is a Goddess for the moment!
We dive into the: Silver Wheel - A Devotional Anthology in Honor of Arainhrod by Ninth Wave Press and discuss the genesis, journey and evolution that this project underwent to be birthed into the world in late August of 2026. The dedication and commitment by volunteers, the Sisters of Avalon, committees, volunteers and the many authors who contributed to make this anthology possible was a very long process. This is one of the Welsh goddesses of a series of anthologies that The Sisterhood of Avalon are devoted to. Maddi points out which originally started as an idea over 10 years ago!
The Silver Wheel anthology is a treasured book for anyone who wants to connect and form a relationship with Arianhrod through the many personal and inspiring stories, meditations, rituals, poetry, and music/songs from a variety of contributing Authors including myself, Bridget Engels. She is the author of Her Strange Angels, a devotional collection of prose and prayer for women walking the path of soul remembrance. Her newest book, Midlife Isis, by Inner Traditions is her most intimate and mythic work to date.
We jump into what the Midlife Passage is for Women in the 10-15 year period that can span from late 30’s through a Woman’s menopausal years with physical, mental and psychological transitions. Sarah tells us that this Midlife Passage is an initiation and a catalyst. Its an invitation to women to more fully anchor who they actually are and who they started out as. This is a terrain that is intensely powerful and empowering.
Sarah, as a magical person and healer, wanted to express in her book the Midlife Passage of women through a mythic lens. Her book Midlife ISIS walks women through the myth and symbology of Egyptian Goddess ISIS and her Goddess Sisters, tarot, journeying, personal experiences, numerology and the astrology of the Midlife Passage. Her book is a magical companion for the woman walking through a midlife journey.

If women invite Goddess ISIS into their life as a guide; she will show up with her wisdom and power in an accessible way!
And who is the Wild Queen? She is the archetype that sits on her throne between the Mother and the Crone in the Triple Goddess consciousness. Sovereign and discerning she reclaims herself. This is the initiation of the Midlife Woman to bridge from the Mother to the Wild Queen archetype. The name ISIS means “throne”. She is the invitation to be the throne- that's what this Midlife Passage is all about. But we must do the work to get there!

The Oracle of Luna with Bridget Engels presents: Morgan Daimler: Fairy Expert - Author - Irish Myth Teacher - Folklorist - Witch

Explore the magic and multiple possibilities of Fairies with Morgan Daimler!
Morgan is a prolific Pagan writer who teaches classes on Irish myth, magical practices, fairies, and related subjects in the US and internationally. She has been published in multiple anthologies as well as articles in various magazines, and she is one of the world's foremost experts on all things Fairy. Morgan has a variety of titles available through Moon Books, including: Fairies: A Guide to the Celtic Fair Folk, Fairy: the Otherworld by Many Names, and Paid with a Kiss. Morgan has also presented on Fairies and Witches at several workshops and conferences.
We delve into how Morgan started getting interested and connecting to fairies.
She grew up as part of the Irish-American diaspora without a religious structure but there was and understanding that Fairies and ghosts existed. From a very young age she was able to sense and see spirits. When she was 5 she had a clear memory of interacting with a woman with red hair who seemed real but was a Fairy Morgan believes now. She also would build fairy houses made of sticks, rocks and acorns. She left written messages on her window sill for the Fairies as a child. She believes that Fairies have their own way of communicating with people.
We explore what Fairies and what they are not. Fairies are complicated and fascinating beings who are often contradictory. They are a specific type of spirit or sapient being that come from another reality that is adjacent to ours and they can travel back and forth from that realm to ours. They can shapeshift and be visible and invisible. Morgan tells us that we can find Fairies wherever we are. There’s overlap with Indigenous, Land Spirits, Nature spirits, Nyads, Dryads, Nyads and a whole assortment of spirit beings that can also be Fairies.
Fairies can also come from the Otherworld into our dreams, trance states, astral traveling too. Morgan tells us that there is dream communication to humans from Fairies and spirits that goes very far back historically. Time wrks differently in the Otherworld or the realm of Fairy and they are able to cross though into our physical world. Fairies exist outside the concept of time.
We delve into ways to honor and connect with Fairies in our everyday lives. Good and friendly offerings to fairies can include pouring or a little bowl of pure, clean water, dairy products lsuch as milk or cream, honey, singing, reciting poetry, and ringing bells and doing any of these with genuine love and intention. And if you see, sense or feel movement in your peripheral vision you should pay attention since they may be Fairies!
We chat about how to blend Fairies in with our Witchcraft practices by connecting to house spirits/fairies. Morgan ends our episode with a quick grounding visualization to open up our sixth sense to connect with Spirits and Fairies anywhere and anytime. Tune in and be enlightened! Connect with the Sacred North and the element of Earth with Tahverlee Anglen! Tahverlee is a high priestess, ritualist, initiate of the Sacred Way and the Eleusinian Rites, and a practitioner of the Celtic mysteries, and is at the heart of the Moon Temple Mystery School, guiding seekers through the mystical landscapes of self-discovery, witchcraft, empowerment, and spiritual awakening. She is an accomplished speaker, social impact entrepreneur, and podcast host. Tahverlee is the author of: Sacred Magic of the North: Ritual, Spells, and Gifts of the Earth by Llewellyn Worldwide.
We explore how Tahverlee learned to put all the different pieces of spirituality, magic and interconnectedness can be put into the direction of the North and the physical element of Earth. The North is the sacred pause that sits between the West the element of water the conclusion and South the element of Fire the beginning of everything. North /Earth are our Bodies and an energetic opening for us to align ourselves to where we fit into the directional/elemental Wheel at any time. The elements work within our human bodies, minds and spirits. The North/Earth is just ¼ of the piece of how our soul moves amongst this 3D, 4D and 5D plane in the Elemental/Directions wheel.
We chat about Tahverlee’s new book: Sacred Magic of the North, the first in a series of four she is writing of all four directions/elements. The North is the natural starting place she says because everything we want to experience on our spiritual path is interconnected through our Bodies. Embodiment is a big part of Tahverlee’s book on the Sacred North/Earth. iIt’s taking everything we desire and want to experience takes place inside our physical flesh. As well as activating our bodies with the cycles of nature. Our spiritual and psychic gifts also get turned up a notch when we know how to connect with our body. When we Ground and dispel energy and when we raising energy prior to in ritual/spellwork - its all done through our bodies.
We delve into Land Spirits and Ancestors of Earth- and how to connect with them wherever we live. All lands have guardian spirits such as certain animals, trees, mountains, canyons, rocks, and the original human indigenous tribes that used to live on your land/city/town. You can go to a park or open space and meditate and ask to commune with them. And Tahverlee suggests some fast, everyday practices we can do at work or during our busy days. Breathwork, crystals and stones, essential oils and spring water spritzers, and bringing a plant, bloom or flowers at work or your home or workspace connects you to the element of Earth.
Tahverlee ends our episode with a grounding and rooting visualization to embody, connect and realign to the Earth and your center.Tune in and be enlightened! More about Tahverlee at: www.tahverlee.com

Perdita is the author of Take Back the Magic: Conversations with the Unseen World, Mothers of Magic: Summoning the Wisdom of Our Ancestors, and with her husband Clark Strand The Way of the Rose: The Radical Path of the Divine Feminine Hidden in the Rosary. She teaches popular workshops on connecting and collaborating with both the dead and the animate everything. She lives with her family in the moss-filled shadows of the Catskill Mountains. She is on Facebook and Instagram and writes a popular Substack: Take Back the Magic. Perdita ends our episode with a visualization to call upon animal spirits Mothers to awaken the magic that's inside you.
Perdita began summoning Divine Mothers and her ancestral grandmothers to help her with motherhood because she did not have the mothering she needed to be a mother and that her mother was not capable of giving her that mothering. She also taught workshops to help others summon their ancient mothers and grandmothers. And to explore the many orbits of Motherhood and how we can call on animals, ancestors, spirits, future mothers that are accessible to help us on our journeys through life. Part of her work is to help people connect with the dead on the other side to feel loved in this life.
Perdita began researching ancient history and traditions of motherhood. She discovered that there's never a single mother because mothering was a shared action in ancient communities with at least 9 mothers per child. We chat about the original Divine Trinity in ancient cultures: the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone. In her book, Perdita writes about the fact that the egg of the Daughter (Mother) and Granddaughter (Maiden) are formed simultaneously in the body of our Grandmother (Crone) like nesting dolls. It is our actual reality of our coming into being. These 3 generations are one and matriarchal cultures honored this powerful fact!
We dive into her book: Mothers of Magic: Summoning the Wisdom of Our Ancestors and her personal story with her own Mother and Grandmothers and the story of the Mother before civilization, within civilization and to a world that may look very different beyond it. If we recovered the circular power and wisdom of the mother; we would transform our relationship with life, nature, each other and ourselves. Perdita ends our episode with a practical visualization to call upon 9 animal Mothers to change your life and to awaken the magic inside you. The Oracle of Luna with Bridget Engels presents: Goddess Vila - Summer /June Waxing to Full Moon - Guided Meditation.
2026/06/21
Send us Fan Mail
Summer Solstice blessings! I invite you to take a guided meditation journey with me to connect with the ancient Slavic Goddess Vila. This guided meditation and more are available in my three books and audio books, titled The Oracle of Luna: Meditations with the Moon Goddess, volumes one, two, and three, available on Amazon and Audible.
Goddess Vila, also known as Samo Vila, is an ancient Eastern European name for the Goddess of energy moving through the Earth as nature. The plural form Vily are known as female spirits who live in the woods, mountains, caves, rivers, and clouds that can shape shift into any animal they want.
Vila was often described as a fair-skinned winged woman with glistening translucent garments. Villa can shape shift into whirlwinds, avalanches, glaciers, or any force of nature.
The magical Vily are unlike European fairies, since they were not born as spirits of nature, but became them with death. Both Goddess Vila and the Vily are able to magically blend in with the wind as intangible shapes, or they can become solid by the natural world around them.
We can connect with Goddess Vila and the Vily when we are navigating change, when we are between life cycles, or when we just want to grow and expand into our best selves and nourish wholeness. Tune in and be enlightened!

The Oracle of Luna with Bridget Engels presents: Maevius Lynn: Ceremonial Magician - Author - Thelema Practitioner - International Lecturer
2026/05/29

Explore Thelema with Maevius Lynn! Maevius is a writer, artist, international lecturer, and ceremonial magician whose work approaches Thelema as a living tradition from the perspective of both a solitary practitioner and an initiate of Ordo Templi Orientis and Temple of the Silver Star. Her efforts inspire others to make Thelema and magick a purposeful part of their lives. Her new book is: The Holy Year of Thelema - A Guide to the Ritual Calendar of Aleister Crowley’s Tradition by Llewellyn Worldwide. Her work includes YouTube educational videos, online study groups, workshops, and lectures at Pagan and occult conferences, books, magazine articles, and art.
She also shares early beginnings in Florida as a young Queer person seeking knowledge and what led her to Thelema and what Thelema is as it looks like in our modern age. We delve into what Thelema is a philosophy, a religion and a system of mysticism. Maevius tells us about some misconceptions around Thelemic practice, tradition,(It is not Kemeticism) and also briefly unpacks the life and beliefs and the complicated and controversial side of Aleister Crowley.
We jump to the topic of Will in Thelema for its practitioners and the meaning of the phrase: Do What That Wilt Shall be the Whole of the Law as the primary philosophy from sacred text. Understanding the innermost divinity within oneself , then aligning with it and to discover the skills to live that truth. And how the sacred holy text The Book of the Law was divinely channelled to Crowley while he was in Egypt. Maevius points out that Thelema’s holy books are not dogma to conform your life to. They are instead an invitation to explore yourself, the nature of the Divine and what that means to you.
Maevius’ new book is: The Holy Year of Thelema - A Guide to the Ritual Calendar of Aleister Crowley’s Tradition which is an exploration into the context/history of Thelema and the holy days found in this tradition. She offers insight, practical advice for those looking to start a mystical journey of their own and some ideas to practice and build your own tradition with Thelema based on your level and your available time. One of Maevius’ favorite basic rituals in Thelema is “Saying Will” which reminds Thelemites that eating should nourish the body in order to fulfill the Great Work and transmute the consumed calories into spiritual substance.
We also discuss the Women who helped bring Thelema who have shaped and influenced the history and development of Thelema and what Maevius' perspective as a woman in this tradition. In Thelema, the Goddess Nuit is the representation of infinite possibilities and the cosmos. Her masculine complement, Hadit, is the single point at the center of every thing and she unites with Hadit. In the Gnostic Mass the priestess does an invocation to Nuit. There are Holy Days in Thelema to celebrate that someone can explore and build their own traditions based on the seasons and the seasons of one’s life. Maevius encourages us to try out the magic of Thelema in a way that is inviting, and informative.
Maeviius ends this episode with a deacon speech from the Gnostic Mass.

The Oracle of Luna with Bridget Engels presents: Deborah Blake: Modern Witchcraft Author - Witch - High Priestess
2026/05/15

Connect with Deity with Deborah Blake! Deborah is the prolific author of nineteen books on modern Witchcraft, including The Eclectic Witch’s Book of Shadows, A Year and a Day of Everyday Magic, and as well as the acclaimed Everyday Witch Tarot and Oracle and Everyday Witch’s Familiars Oracle decks and her latest book: The Everyday Witch’s Book of Deities - Ancient Gods for Modern Pagans, by LLewellyn Worldwide.. She has also written three paranormal romance and urban fantasy series, and as well as a cozy mystery series. Deborah lives in a 130 year old farmhouse in upstate New York with numerous cats who supervise all her activities, both magical and mundane.
We jump into what Deity means since it doesn't mean the same thing to everybody. The way we look at deity in Witchcraft is two different ways at the same time which can be a little confusing.First we connect with Individual Gods/Goddess that have traits associated with them for a very long time (centuries) that we can connect with and the second way is the big overarching power of the Divine that is so far outside of how our brains can comprehend.
There are also many reasons why Witches call on or connect with Gods/Goddess as as there are types of Witches! Communing, Spells, Rituals or simply talking to deity or having symbol /statue or representation of a God/Goddess(s) on their altar can be a few ways that we can connect or invite in the energy of that Deity or just say “God and Goddess” and don't specify in a spell, ritual, communing, magical workings,etc..
How do we know which Deity to connect with or choose? This is a popular question that Deborah gets from her community. Deborah explains that sometimes its a lack of a trait inside us that we need help with that a certain God/Goddess has plenty of that trait or attributes of such as healing, magic, Moon energy, abundance, fertility, warrior energy, etc etc.or a particular need or goal we are working on or sometimes deity comes to us and we should be open to seeing/hearing signs and messages. We can also change our Deity devotion or worship with time since life is fluid and we grow and evolve with time to become our best self.
We chat about the many ways that Witches work with Deities and what this entails. It can be in Sabbats in the Wheel of the Year that are associated with a God or Goddess such as Brigid at Imbolc, Hekate at Samhain, Demeter or Lugh at Lammas, etc. Or we can call on a Moon Goddess such as Diana, Selene, Luna, during a New, Full or Dark Moon. And we don't call on deity the same way every single time; it depends on what you need or want. Deborah mentions she has a daily practice of greeting a God/Goddess in the morning and saying a gratitude greeting thanking God/Goddess in the evening .Many Witches have offerings to Deity(s) n ritual or their personal or group practice. Simply knowing that they are there with us and we are not dealing with everything all on our own is reassuring especially in difficult times.
Deborah was inspired to write her newest book: : The Everyday Witch’s Book of Deities - Ancient Gods for Modern Pagans, by her readers that came to her with questions about Gods/Goddesses and how to work with them. As a dedicated High Priestess she felt she was called on to write this book on Deity as a helpful thing to share with her community. She was also seeing that there were not that many books out there on both Gods and Goddesses. This is a great guidebook that explains the Deities in the ancient culture they lived in as well as how the modern Witch can connect with Gods/Goddesses in the here and now. Deborah also included contributing authors who are Witches, Druids, Pagans and Heathens who are practicing in the real world today.
Deborah ends our episode with a beautiful Full Moon invocation to Diana - Roman Goddess of the Hunt and the Divine Feminine to tap into our wild nature for power and magic. Tune in and be enlightened! More about Deborah at: www.deborahblakeauthor.com

The Oracle of Luna with Bridget Engels presents: Máire Durkan: Friggswoman, Heathen Minister, Author, & Green Witch
2026/05/08
Send us Fan Mail
NEW🌙🦋💐Tune in with the extraordinary Máire Durkan as we uncover the power & magick of Frigg and her sovereign council of 12 allied goddesses!🌙✨
Máire Durkan is an interfaith hospital chaplain, certified birth doula, ordained inclusive Heathen minister, Green Witch, and dedicated Friggswoman (devotee of the goddess Frigg). She serves as Clergy Coordinator for The Troth, one of the oldest international inclusive Heathen organizations. She specializes in creating and leading inclusive rituals and workshops rooted in intersectional feminist spirituality. Her latest book, Frigg’s Twelvefold Flame: Creating Justice and Healing with the Goddess and Her Court (Llewellyn Worldwide, 2026), explores how connecting with Frigg and her council of allied goddesses can support personal growth, justice and healing.
Máire’s early beginnings took place in the countryside of Wilmington, Delaware with older siblings and spending a lot of time in the woods immersed in Nature and reading books by JRR Tolkien and others. Later in life, a Heathen ritual or Blot at the Free Spirit Gathering in Maryland, to the Norse God Týr made a powerful impression on Máire. She describes the Galdr or chanting was about victory through sacrifice to the rune of Tiwaz which is about justice, leadership, honor and sacrifice. Máire was changed by this spiritual experience. She was also writing about Norse Goddesses Frigg, Freya and God Odin at the time too. The Divine Feminine was very important to Máire and she was drawn to Frigg the All Mother and wife to Odin who resonated with her.
Máire began incorporating Frigg’s symbols of the Heron, Spinning Wheel, and Spindle to connect with Frigg’s energy with her Heathen community: The Assembly of the Sacred Wheel, they do Aspecting as part of their rituals.. She started feeling at home with her and really clicked with Frigg. The nurturing, caring, weaving of respectful harmony and uniting communities are all part of Frigg’s All Mother attributes.
Máire was inspired to write her book: Frigg’s Twelvefold Flame: Creating Justice and Healing with the Goddess and Her Court because of the challenging times we live in and the urging of Frigg and her 12 allied Goddesses that she works with each carrying a different aspect of Frigg’s power and presence with shared leadership and collaborative sovereignty. . Neo-Pagans, Heathens, Wiccans and their communities embrace inclusivity and eco sustainability as part of their great work. Maire’s book became a call to activism since Goddess Frigg stands for action, justice, care, foresight and responsibility for others as well as the Divine Feminine spirit.
Maire tells us that Frigg encourages us to really examine whats beneath the surface and look at the root causes of injustice and oppression and then navigate the complexities with intention. We can lead with both care and strategy and look at the long game. Frigg reframes activism with sacred care work such as advocacy, community support for the under served, which matters as much as policy change.
Máire ends our episode with a short invocation to Frigg - Lady of the Keys - for a call to action for justice work and creating positive change in the world where all beings are valued and respected. Tune in and be enlightened!

Dive into the New Moon Yesspiral system blending Lunar Cycles, Tarot & Astrology with Yesbelt Fernandez! Yesbelt is a tarot teacher and lunar guide based in New York City who helps people design intentional lives. She leads new and full moon circles, offers seasonal rituals and tarot readings. She is the author of: New Moon Life Design: Manifest the Life You Want Using Lunar Cycles, Tarot, and Astrology (Weiser Books, April 2026). For over a decade, Yesbelt blends practical systems with intuitive wisdom, teaching people how to work with the phases and cycles of the moon and set intentions they can follow through on. She believes in saying yes to what spirals us into synchronicity!
Yesbelt found out about tarot for the first time in the Dominican Republic whilst sitting on a beach after a funeral. A Tarot reader happened to be walking by and offered Yesbelt a Tarot reading. She bought her first tarot deck after that and began studying Tarot and attended different lectures and classes in NYC. She met Joanna Powell Colbert at a readers' studio and then attended one of Joanna’s retreats on Whidbey Island, WA. Being a young mother at age 16 kept her very busy until her 30's when she awakened to her spirituality.
Yesbelt studied herbalism at a shop in NYC called Flower Power. She was invited to host lunar circles there and to sell her workbooks that she made every month. Theresa Reed (aka The Tarot Lady) came into the Flower Power store once and saw her workbook and later contacted Yesbelt and asked her if she wanted to write a book. It was through all those synchronicities and spirals that Yesbelt ended up writing and publishing her first book.
We delve into Yesbelt’s New Moon Life Design (Yesspiral system) a cyclical journey weaving Tarot cards, Astrology and Moon cycles starts with a journaling practice. In simple parts: the lunar cycle is the Calendar, astrology is the archetypes of the planet's Focus and the tarot is the emotional Mirror. The real magic behind this process is setting our intentions and then taking conscious action steps. Pick an intention and make it into a Smart goal at the New Moon this is where we Begin- then we Build with the Waxing Moon and we Celebrate & Forgive at the Full Moon - Reset at the Waning moon and Release at the Dark Moon.
We chat about the next New Moon in Aries on 4/17/26 and it’s zodiac model is: “I Am”. This New Moon is about setting intentions around what your personal brand or who you see yourself authentically in the world and redesign/update that. We end the episode with Yesbelt pulling Tarot Cards for a “Moonth” using her New Moon Yesspiral system starting with the New Moon in Aries on 4/17 and onwards through the next New Moon in Taurus on May 16. Explore the meaning and power behind spells and incantations with Enid Baxter Ryce! Enid is an award-winning Author, Artist, and Professor whose work spans books, film, visual art, and education advocacy. Her books include Plant Magic at Home (Running Press, 2025), Grace Flows Through You (Amber Lotus, 2026), and Field Guide to Fort Ord (multiple printings), and her latest book called: Ancient Spells and Incantations - Echoes of Magic Through the Ages & Across Cultures. By Red Wheel/Weiser Books due out in April. Her work has been exhibited at the National Gallery of Art, the Library of Congress, the Getty, and the Arnolfini. She is Professor of Cinematic Arts and Technology at CSU Monterey Bay. As a descendant of 3 Salem Witches; Enid embodies a long family history of natural magical practices.
Enid’s early beginnings took place in rural Pennsylvania and spending a lot of time alone in the woods immersed in Nature. Her mother who was Scotch/ Irish had knowledge of plants/botanicals for healing that she taught to Enid. She took a crafts class as a small girl which influenced her artistic abilities. And later she was enrolled in an art program at Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia which gave her a sense of belonging, helped her get a scholarship and set her on her artistic path. Enid is a descendant of 3 Salem Witches that were hanged in the Salem Witch Trials back in 1692 for refusing to confess to being a Witch.
Enid wrote a book called: Plant Magic at Home from her knowledge passed down from her mother as well as her own research and experience. While she was researching her plant magic book she came across several magical incantations which she started collecting. She realized that these were going to be her next book that she found in witch trial transcripts. Through her extensive research in university libraries, Enid uncovered ancient spells adapted from text unearthed from grimoires, letters, and trial transcripts from across the ages and around the world. These are special!
We delve into the purpose of spells across cultures and the power of words to create and shape reality. Enid tells us that everyone across time and cultures want love/affection or experiences anger or want protection and have questions about the unknown. Spells and incantations are written in a way like poetry to connect us to the mystery of spirit for manifestation, prophecy, love, protection, healing, bless, curses, and even vengeance. They are opportunities to set intentions and pay attention to them. What we put focus and intention on flourishes; what we do not put our energy into withers. Enid also illustrated her book using plant based inks and with magical methods for creating artwork to match the subject matter of the spells in her book.
The essence of spells and incantations reveal how universal human beings vulnerabilities are across time and cultures and how we all have similar needs expressed. It makes you realize what we all share and have in common throughout history. Enid has made these spells accessible to today's Witches. Enid ends the episode by reading us a New Moon incantation translated from Gaelic from her book. Tune in and be enlightened!

The Oracle of Luna with Bridget Engels presents: Laura Tempest Zakroff - Artist, Performer Author & Witch

Tarot unleashed with Laura Tempest Zakroff! Laura is a professional Artist, Author, Performer, and Modern Traditional Witch based in New England. Laura is the author of several bestselling Llewellyn books including Weave the Liminal, Sigil Witchery, Visual Alchemy, and Anatomy of a Witch, as well as the artist and author of the Sigil Witchery Oracle, Anatomy of a Witch Oracle, and The Liminal Spirits Oracle. Laura has a new book called: Tarot by Tempest by Llewellyn Worldwide. She is the creative force behind several community events and teaches workshops online and worldwide.
We start off chatting about Laura's early beginnings with her creativity and spirituality. Her parents sent Laura to art classes around the age of 3 years old and she pursued formal art training from grammar school all the way through college. At Brown University she took independent study classes about mythology, beliefs, occultism and spirituality. Laura created her first tarot deck with her own designs and etchings based on Tennyson’s poem: Lady of Shallot. After college, she started reading Tarot at various metaphysical stores in Rhode Island and in the Bay Area. Laura tells us this was a wonderful learning experience for her.
We jump into Laura’s latest book: Tarot by Tempest - Playing with Numbers, Meaning and Movement. During the pandemic Laura was teaching online workshops and she started teaching this as a class which was so successful that she was encouraged to put it into book format because her students really liked her straightforward, multi layered and intuitive approach to reading Tarot cards. When she looks at the numbers first and what the Major and Minor arcana are, what suits are showing up and what are the numbers. The numbers of a Tarot card have certain meanings and from there you can look at the images, what symbols are portrayed, and how the people are depicted.
We talk about the Movement aspect in Laura’s book and she says most of us have a habit of dwelling too much in our heads. She suggests in her book to try and sit or stand in the position of the people in the Tarot card(s) that you pull. Take for instance, The Magician card with the As Above, So Below stance that the Magician is doing with one arm upwards and one arm lowered to the ground; we would try and assume that pose and take a moment to feel the energy of that posture in your body. This energy can unlock the meaning or feeling of that card for you - whether its the outcome card or just a part of a spread with other cards. Ask yourself: What can this card teach me? See how your body responds when you are physically engaged in a card’s body position and really listen to your intuition.
We live in a society that tells us not to trust our intuition and not to trust our bodies. Laura believes that the poses of the characters in Tarot cards have meaning and power to them. And getting into our bodies more helps us spot the colors, symbols, and patterns in Tarot because we are perceiving rather than overthinking. Tune into this enchanted conversation and be enlightened! The Oracle of Luna with Bridget Engels presents: Dodie Graham McKay - Author, Filmmaker & Green Witch

Discover how magic of animals and Witchcraft intersect with Dodie Graham McKay! Dodie is an Author, Green Witch, and Filmmaker. She is inspired to document and share stories that capture the beauty of nature and the visible and invisible realms of magic and Witchcraft. She is the author of “A Witch's Ally Oracle Deck” - Illustrated by Laura Tempest Zakroff, and several books: Earth Magic: The Elements of Witchcraft and The Witch's Ally: Building a Magical Relationship with Familiars & Animal Companions by Llewellyn Worldwide. Her documentary films include The WinniPagans, Starry Nights, and the Fibe TV four-part series Exploring the Sacred. Dodie spends her spare time walking her dogs, teaching Witchcraft, and facilitating a busy coven. She lives in Canada.
Dodie’s love for animals included her best friend, familiar and life companion Obin who was quite a magical dog. Her dog had epilepsy at an early age but Dodie never gave up and Obin lived a long and good life. He led Dodie on a journey on what the world could look like from his point of view. He was an inspiration to Dodie and he showed her sacred wisdom and even actively participated in her Wiccan rituals.
We delve into the terms Pet, Companion, Familiar and Ally in Dodie’s book and Oracle deck A Witches Ally and how these terms are framed around the lens of Witchcraft. Her and Laura Tempest Zakroff the illustrator and how: The Witches Ally Oracle Deck came together beautifully. Each card has a unique sigil as well as stunning artwork. The companion book has a bit about the natural history mythology, symbols and sacred messages associated with each animal which you can take into your spiritual practice. Dodie wanted to create an animal deck that can be woven into a person’s Witchcraft practice. Witches have held a close connection with Nature throughout history.
We discover that how we perceive animals is a projection that comes from a human point of view. We are not the only species that perceives in the world. Dodie explains that the perception of an animal is going to be unique to that animal. How an animal senses reveal hidden realms around us and each living thing on this planet sits in its own bubble of perception with different vibrations, sounds, smells, tastes, electromagnetic fields that we as humans may or may not be able to see. The immensity can be beyond our capacity to understand. Dodie believes that there is so much mystery around us and the web of life is so woven all around us. If we can find the humility to respect, honor this and try to understand this instead of being exploitative and destructive to nature and all living beings on this planet.
Dodie explains how we can learn and develop a spiritual connection with an animal by not extending that invitation on our terms. She suggests we do some research into understanding the natural history, the behavior, the instinct, and priorities of that animal creature that we want to reach out to and form a spiritual connection with first. After your initial research on an animal then it's discerning which magical techniques will match up best with how that animal sees the world. Tune into this illuminating conversation and be enlightened! Visit Dodie at: www.dodiegrahammckay.com
