However, it does mean that both partners need to be able to maintain a sense of fluidity and are able to negotiate around areas of responsibility. Equal power doesn’t mean things being totally equal all the time, but it does mean being able to swap between duties in a way that works for both people. The male ego is driven by recognition, attention and action. Men are assumed to be more active beings who do important things(such as political leaders, soldiers, scientist, etc. and who more deserving of attention by others? The ego refers to one's belief in one's own value, and someone with a "fragile ego" lacks self worth and confidence. A person with a fragile ego is readily swayed by others perceptions.
