The passing of MF Doom, one of rap's greatest legends was announced last week, so today we do a tribute episode to honor his extraordinarily unique mind.  Alex Kozela and I once started a pirate radio station together that broke just about every FCC rule known to man. Our love for Doom was a big part of that. He's the perfect guy to join me in the immersive supervillain landscape that Doom creates through crazy unique sampling, and the most clever flow you ever heard.

Brian and I grew up in Brooklyn together. We went to the same school as the Beastie Boys, walked down the same streets, ate at the same bagel spots, and wrecked havoc at the same subway stations. Today Brian and I explore the how the Beastie Boys were rivaled by none in reflecting the coalescence of NYC's cultural and environmental factors, while also discussing how walking through our childhood's in their literal footsteps, gave us exceptional perspective for loving their music.
