Pizza Fridays and Self Care Your Way Ft. Sunda & Self Love Club
2021/05/10
On Today’s Episode, I chat with Sunda - artist, community builder and mental health advocate. Our episode feels so timely as Sunda is the brains behind Self Love Club.  A Community created to inspire and bring awareness to mental health through self-care and holistic practices that encourages self-reflection. Sunda and I connect on the power of our networks, the importance of transparency, and how self-care should and will look different for everyone but it’s about your connection to the practice. Sunda shares how the family is at the core of who she is and comes from a large family.  Sunda is a proud cool aunt as she seeks to encourage adventure and curiosity in her nieces and nephews and encouraging them to be their best selves.  Our convo highlights how individual story connects to our passion. Sunda talks about her journey with anxiety and how her ability to talk about her healing has connected her to others. Her dedication in this space has helped her find alignment not just with Self Love Club but also while in pursuit of a master's in clinical counseling.  Connect with Sunda: @SelfLoveClubOhio  Connect with Kat: https://www.instagram.com/ayexkitty/ Connect with Kat Curiosity Missed : https://www.instagram.com/katcuriositymissed/ Producer: Jevon W. https://www.instagram.com/curselifted/

Learning Love: A Group Dialogue
2021/02/14
On Today’s Episode, I try something a little new for my platform... a group interview! I am grouping these conversations as a monlthy series called  “Opening The Lines” Some type of subject-focused interview amongst friends, strangers, and storytellers. For February,  naturally, our subject was Love. I interviewed three people who have taught me how to love myself, love them, and love others because of my proximity to them. Brandon, Evan and Nandi  lean into a dialogue  about learning to love themselves, what it feels like to be transparent and honest and how their childhood shaped their understanding of love and the real-life manifestation of love. We talk self-love, sex, and love, and connecting the dots to make it all work together.
