I chat about the early beginnings of Mr. Cavaliere, How clothes affect the way you feel, and how dressing with intention can change your life. 

We wanted to jump on to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season. Producer Peter is officially a dad and we thought what better time to wrap up this season than now! I want to thank you all for listening to a show about clothes, during a time where wearing pants have been optional. This show celebrates style and the people who take the time to dress with intention. Today I chat with Shawn McKenzie (@ShawnMcKenzie89), host and reporter at Sportsnet. Based in Toronto, Shawn is often globetrotting following the Toronto Maple Leafs to various cities covering the sights at sounds rink side.  I believe Shawn is one of the most stylish guys around the NHL community. His TV outfits are often the talk of social media as people often comment on his bold coloured suits, large peak lapels, and his slim silhouette. There is a method to his madness and today I get the privilege to take a behind-the-scenes look. Today on the show Shawn and I chat about the Leafs new dress code, what he thinks about when putting together an outfit for TV, and how the game of hockey should start embracing fashion. 

This week's guest is Peter Zottolo (@urbancomposition) . Peter is an Electrician by trade and the US Director of Plaza Uomo. Based in San Francisco,  Peter is a true menswear enthusiast as his style can’t be put in a box. You can often find Peter in American-made denim on the job site. But with that said, he is no stranger to a suit. Just one look at his Instagram page and you can find him in various Italian-made tailoring looking like he’s on the streets of Florence. What I admire most about Peter is his utilitarian approach to menswear and how he actively invests in quality garments that serve a purpose. Today on the show I chat with Peter about his initial interest in style, Dressing for the occasion, and camping in California. On this week's episode, we chat with Andrew Coelho (@MrAndrewCoelho). Andrew is the host of the Andrew Coelho show and the designer behind Monte & Co. Andrew is passionate about making and investing in better things. Expert craftsmanship, affordable luxury, and ethically made are some of the words behind the way Andrew shops and designs. Today on the show I turn the mic to Andrew to hear about why he started Monte & Co., Why buying better matters, and a billboard message he lives by. 

On this week's episode, we speak with Jesse Thorn, (@JesseThorn). Jesse is a media entrepreneur and podcast host based out of Los Angeles, California. He is the owner and founder of the Maximum Fun podcast network, and the host and producer of the podcasts Judge John Hodgman, Jordan, Jesse, Go! as well as the radio show and podcast Bullseye. That said, I discovered Jesse on a little known menswear blog by the name of Put This On.  Jesse is an OG. His work predates social media, and he was creating digital stories for the internet before the term content creator became a widely recognized job. You can arguably say that the Put This On blog spawned the #Menswear movement.  Today on the show I chat with Jesse about what initially intrigued him about menswear, the culture of clothes, and why he started Put This On.

So I thought what better way to answer this than to go into the archive and pull out a conversation I had with Andrew Coelho (@mrandrewcoelho)  Andrew is the host of the Andrew Coelho Show and the designer behind Monte & Co. Andrew interviews some of the most exciting and inspiring fashionprenuers in the industry and I was lucky enough to be one of them. Please note, that this was recorded back in July of 2020 as I was fresh off the official launch of the brand, so some of the strategies I mention have changed but my mindset has stayed the same.

This week's guest is Bruce Pask (@BrucePask), the Men’s Fashion Director of Bergdorf Goodman & Neiman Marcus. Bruce also curates a shop called the B. Shop, which features some of his favourite menswear essentials and some exclusive collaborations.  I discovered Bruce during the hashtag menswear movement where I often saw street-style photographs of this stylish gentleman wearing classic American menswear on the streets of Milan, Paris, Florence, and New York. I quickly learned that Bruce wasn’t just a stylish bystander but a prominent voice in the men's style community contributing to the likes of GQ, the late great Cargo magazine, and the New York Times. So how did this guy from Yuma, Arizona go from a shy retail stockboy to the Men’s Fashion Director at one of the biggest luxury department stores in the world? Bruce talks about his journey through the industry, What menswear items he’s excited about, and some simple style advice we could all use.

On this week's episode, I interview Bo Yang (@BYang09). Bo is a hedge fund manager and the proprietor of of Marol 1959 an Italian bespoke shirtmaker.    Bo is a tailoring aficionado. Just one glance at his Instagram and you’ll see countless expertly crafted bespoke garments from some of the worlds most prestigious master tailors. You’ll also find snap shots of his global travels and photos with his three kids. Bo discusses developing a wardrobe, his advice on visiting a bespoke tailor, and life in Toronto. 

This week's podcast guest is Jeremy Kirkland (@thekirkland), the host of Blamo!, a podcast exploring the world of fashion with the people who shape it.    I have been an avid listener of the Blamo! podcast for a few years. Jeremy’s approach to the show is easy on the ears and his guest selection is what keeps me coming back for more. On top of his great voice, Jeremy also has great style. His self described “graceful fatherhood” look is approachable and compiled with pieces that we could all wear whether we have kids of not.    Today on the show, Jeremy talks about what the future of menswear looks like, what he’s been wearing recently, and a rant on hosting a podcast.

On this week's episode, I speak with The Style Professor (@The.Style.Professor). His Instagram page is a collage of different outfits he’s worn for various occasions and settings often with drink in hand and rarely without cufflinks. He is also the curator of another popular Instagram page called Ralph Lauren Style (@Ralph.Lauren.Style) which acts as a visual archive of things made by polo Ralph Lauren.    Today on the show I chat with The Style Professor about how his style has changed over the years, his thoughts on building a wardrobe, and where this interest in style originally came from.

My guest this week is Ethan M. Wong (@EthanMWong). Ethan is a photographer, podcaster, video game professional, and above all a menswear enthusiast. Ethan’s Instagram is filled with photos of himself always looking effortlessly sophisticated coupled with snapshots of his stylish friends having a good time.    Today on the show I chat with Ethan about why someone should want to dress up, his thoughts on building a wardrobe, and the menswear industry at large.
