Derek Chapin continues the series on Proverbs, expounding Proverbs 7. He describes what lust is, why it's a problem, what's under it, and what we should do with it. He gives the gospel reminder that we can give our sinful lust to Jesus, "who gave himself for our sins."

Due to technical difficulties with the audio from Frontline Yukon's sermon on October 4, we have pulled the same sermon topic as delivered by Josh Kouri at Frontline Downtown. Continuing the series in the Proverbs, Josh Kouri teaches on the sin of sloth and the virtue of diligence. Sloth is not just laziness, but the abandonment of faith, hope, and love. Jesus offers us a higher way of living by exemplifying diligence and inviting us to leave the sin of sloth behind us.

This passage warns against the foolishness of greed and extols the wisdom of generosity, displayed most fully and gloriously in the condescension of Christ, who "though he was rich, yet for [our sakes] became poor."

This sermon teaches that gluttony is not merely overeating but allowing food, drink, or other comforts to replace God in satisfying deeper longings, and that true self-control comes not through self-denial alone but through returning to Jesus as the only one who can truly satisfy us.

Anger itself isn’t always sinful, but because our loves are often disordered, wisdom calls us to be slow to anger by examining what we love, looking to God’s patience and mercy toward us, and receiving Jesus’ gentle forgiveness so that we can extend that same patience to others.

The sermon exposes envy as a distrust of God’s goodness that robs us of joy and love, and calls us toward contentment by fixing our eyes on Jesus, trusting his promises, and finding our ultimate satisfaction in him rather than what we lack.

Continuing our series in the Proverbs, Josh Kouri exhibits the warnings of pride, the first and essence of the seven deadly sins, and its trappings against the promises of humility, the first and essence of the seven heavenly virtues, ultimately showing the path of humility as demonstrated by Jesus, emptying himself to take on the form of a servant.

Proverbs presents Lady Wisdom and Lady Folly as two competing invitations—one leading to life, truth, and flourishing through submission to God, and the other through deception and seduction to destruction—calling us to reject folly, repent, and cling to wisdom ultimately embodied in Jesus.

Chad Kincer teaches on Psalm 2 calling us to recognize Jesus as the sovereign King whom the world resists but God has enthroned, urging us to surrender to Him, take refuge in His mercy, and live in joyful obedience to His reign.

"As we continue our series in the Psalms, Kevin Cawley teaches that Psalm 16 calls us to place our ultimate trust in God alone as our refuge, Lord, and greatest good, finding confident hope over death through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who fulfills David's prayer for eternal joy. "

Chad Puckett preaches of our need to repent of sin and to experience the mercy of Jesus through the lens of Psalm chapter 32.

Starting our 2026 Summer in the Psalms series, Jeff Nine teaches on how Psalm 24 points us to the power, holiness, and victory of Jesus, and how his death and resurrection makes it possible for us to enter the dwelling place of God.

Derek Chapin concludes this series with a sermon from Genesis 50, teaching us that living well means trusting God's sovereign promises, extending forgiveness and kindness, and preparing to die well with confident hope in the resurrection and our true home with Christ.

In this sermon, Derek Chapin walks through the blessing of the tribes of Israel by Jacob, speaks to the curse of sin upon them and us, and how the Lion of Judah prophecied in Judah's blessing offers us a new legacy and a new bloodline.

In this sermon on Genesis 48, Derek Chapin teaches that as Jacob looked back over his life, he recognized God as his faithful Shepherd and Redeemer, encouraging believers to trust that God is lovingly redeeming every part of their story—even through suffering and circumstances they do not yet understand.
