Dr. Holly Thorpe is an award-winning sociologist specializing in the intersections of sport, physical culture, and gender. She is recognized for developing innovative, interdisciplinary, and feminist approaches to understanding people’s lived experiences in these fields. Professor Thorpe holds a position at the University of Waikato in New Zealand, where she serves as a Professor in Te Huataki Waiora / School of Health.
