GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION
2026/02/24
Common Examples of Guilt by Association Political/Historical: Claiming a policy is evil because a dictator or despised group supported it (e.g., "Hitler loved dogs, therefore loving dogs is evil") Social/Peer Group: Assuming you are a thief or troublemaker because you hang out with people who commit crimes, even if you did not participate. Family Ties: Assuming a person is a criminal because a family member has committed a crime. Guilt by Proximity: Assuming someone is part of a crime because they were in the same location (e.g., at a party or in a car) when it occurred. Ideological: Dismissing a legitimate argument or action (like meditation or environmentalism) because a "cult" or "radical group" also participates in it.

RECIPROCITY
2026/01/09
Guilt-tripping Guilt-tripping  is when someone tries to make you feel responsible or guilty of your actions or decisions. Moving the goalposts Sometimes, no matter how much you show up for someone who manipulates, they will change their expectations at the last minute to keep you constantly running toward their “goalposts.” Lying People with manipulative tendencies often lie in an attempt to control or coerce others. They may also lie to avoid blame or consequences for their actions. Love bombing Love bombing is manipulation through excessive attention, often showering you inappropriately with gifts, compliments, affection, and time. Flattery Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference between a compliment and flattery. A compliment is given to sincerely point out something positive with no expectation of gain. But flattery is often used disingenuously as a tool to gain emotional leverage. Projection Projection happens when one person claims an emotion they’re feeling — such as jealousy — is actually being experienced by someone else. Often times a person with manipulative tendencies might cause tension and drama, but blame someone else for creating that energy. Triangulation Triangulation happens when a third person is brought into your communication instead of keeping the issue between the two people it impacts.  Allowing manipulative people from having to take responsibility and may protect them from feeling like they’ve lost an argument
THAT HURT!

Other common emotional triggers include:  Criticism or Rejection: Feeling dismissed, ignored, or criticized can provoke deep-seated fears of inadequacy. Abandonment or Betrayal: Experiences of being left out or betrayed can resurface painful memories of past relationships. Failure or Perceived Incompetence: Situations that highlight personal shortcomings may cause feelings of shame or unworthiness. Being Controlled or Powerless: Feeling trapped or manipulated can trigger frustration and resentment. Reminders of Past Trauma: Certain sights, sounds, or words can bring back painful memories from past experiences. Unmet Expectations: When situations don’t align with one’s expectations, disappointment and frustration can arise.
BOUNDARIES
2026/01/08
When our personal boundaries are clear, we can better protect our energy and stay grounded in what matters most. Healthy boundaries help us: Avoid burnout, resentment, and compassion fatigue Stay aligned with our values Protect our emotional well-being and physical safety Prevent codependency and enabling Communicate more clearly Build trust and respect Reinforce our sense of self-worth and self-love 7 types of boundaries in relationships Emotional boundaries: Protect your emotional energy. Example: “I care about you, but I’m not in a place to have this conversation right now.” Mental/Intellectual boundaries: Respect differing thoughts and beliefs. Example: “We can disagree, but I’d like to keep the conversation respectful.” Physical boundaries: Relate to personal space and physical contact. Example: “I’m not comfortable hugging people I don’t know well.” Time boundaries: Help you manage and protect your schedule at work and in your personal life. Example: “I’m only available for 30 minutes, but I’d love to catch up during that time.” Material boundaries: Set limits on sharing possessions or money. Example: “I’m not able to lend money, but I can help you think through other options.” Conversational boundaries: Define topics you’re willing to discuss. Example: “I’d rather not talk about politics at family gatherings.” Internal boundaries: Guide how you manage your energy, emotions, and choices. Example: “Even though I feel guilty, I need to rest today instead of saying yes to everything.”
THIS TIME
2026/01/08
Saturn takes about 29.5 years to orbit the Sun, spending about 2-3 years in each zodiac sign along the way. After about 27-31 years, Saturn “returns” to the same place it was in the sky when you were born. Think of it like a giant boomerang coming back to you after taking flight through the cosmos, and hitting you with some harsh truths! Saturn’s presence often forces you to persevere, to be realistic and practical, and to work toward long-term gain. Saturn is also connected to ambition, maturity, and longevity. Everyone between the ages of 27-31 is going through their first Saturn return. This happens again with people in their mid to late 50s. For those who live longer, it then occurs in the late 80s for a third time.
