The Kings travel in time and space from the 60s in Jamaica to the late 70s in the UK to tackle what is now known as the second wave of Ska. Part revival, part new school twist, the sounds and scene quickly captivated the country. After a hectic day of rocking and Internet Hardcore Discourse™ we sit down to discuss a beloved and still influential band from the west coast, Operation Ivy. The 924 Gilman luminaries brought an interesting sound to the era of youth crew, crossover and thrash metal were reigning supreme but the band ended as quickly as it started. Rolling Stone magazine shocked the world when they released their 100 Greatest Punk albums list recently and the Kings had to do their due diligence and take a look over.
