Episode 264 w/ Pierce O'Leary
2026/04/23
World champ Pierce O’Leary is back with Terence and Calvin – and this time he’s actually walking in with the belt. He chats about the ups and downs nobody sees: boxing politics, learning the business, nearly packing it in 14 months ago, and the mad graft it took to turn “I’m gonna be world champion” into reality. Pierce tells the full Rocky-style story of moving to England with a backpack and a grand, living above a pub, and the night he nearly had to defend himself with a kitchen knife. Plus: the sold-out 3Arena homecoming, what’s next, and what a proper brutal camp looks like. This episode was sponsored by Rightstyle Furniture - RIGHT PRICE, RIGHT STYLE, RIGHT NOW. Bonus: Spreading Rumours
2026/04/21
Calvin starts a rumour and Terence makes outlandish claims of his geography knowledge that are immediately disproven. There's new films added to the 'To Watch' list, not to mention viral videos. The two lads offer advice to a listener who moves into a new gaff with a mate and immediately has to deal with him “christening” the place with random dates. And they wonder whether Justin Bieber was getting paid too much for his set at Coachella? Let us know in the comments where you're listening from! Or get in touch by emailing [email protected]

36. If You Don’t Know, Now You Know Even Less
2026/04/19
Terence and Calvin are in the mood to spread the love this week, as they continue to try to play cupid, debate the dream first date, and wonder if it would be acceptable to end all conversations with “love ya”. And they wonder whether there’s any truth to the old saying ‘When you know, you know’ and at the end of it, all we really know is that we’re all confused. A lie about a sighting of Terence in the wild quickly sours the mood and has them up in arms, and the kiwi revelation from last week continues to cause friction.   Get in touch to apply for blind date or to contribute to the chaos by sending an email to [email protected] or a voicenote to 0876280241.

Episode 263 w/ Deirdre O'Kane
2026/04/16
Legend of the Irish comedy scene Deirdre O'Kane joined us this week - She talked about learning that comedy was a script, not just improvised on stage and how she began writing jokes immediately after that realisation. One of the first women on the scene, Deirdre was doing well, but nearly quit after a particularly bad show - Until a sign from the universe in the form of the iconic Billy Connolly. She told us how the world of stand up has evolved, what her dream role is and why comedy classics like Intermission are not as easy to make as you might think. We also learned more about Terry in this episode - Namely, that he's never seen Intermission and that he doesn't know who Billy Connolly is. Bonus: Blood Baths
2026/04/14
An innocent listener question asking Terence to imagine his tour of Dublin's best sites brings up some a bad memory of causing a mass evacuation in Sean MacDermott street baths. The lads praise the taxi drivers who found new ways around the city when the tractors took over, and give an update on the car that’s been bought, paid for, but still never driven. And it doesn't take long for the accusations to start flying and hostilities to build as the real grafters reveal themselves. Comment to let us know where you're from and whether you add an 'a' or an 'o' to the end of a nickname, or send us an email to [email protected]

35. D Wan
2026/04/12
We never thought we'd hear slagging of inner city accents on Talking Bollox - But this is TBX and they don't hold back, so Terence reveals his strong opinions on the correct pronunciation of 'one', as in Dublin 1. There's talk of space exploration and immediate solar eclipses on O'Connell street that turned out to be tables in the sky. Calvin's changing his name to cupid and Terence's initials are appearing in wet cements but he promises it wasn't him. Get in touch to apply for blind date or to contribute to the chaos by sending an email to [email protected] or a voicenote to 0876280241.

Episode 262 w/ Paul Flaherty
2026/04/09
Cillian Flaherty was a fit and healthy 15 year old boy. He was looking forward to his upcoming TV appearance on Ireland's Fittest Families. Then one night in 2024, he went to bed and never woke up. His dad Paul Flaherty joined us to talk about the shock of finding his son dead, how fitness helped his family through grief, and why it's so important to get your heart tested regularly. Follow Paul on Instagram @paul23flaherty to keep up to date with the run in Cillian's memory coming up soon. This episode was sponsored by Rightstyle Furniture - RIGHT PRICE, RIGHT STYLE, RIGHT NOW. Bonus: A Punchable Offence
2026/04/07
Calvin leaves everyone speechless with his passion and love for the Queen classic Bohemian Rhapsody and his revelation that the Garda don't pay onto the Luas. Terence refuses to accept the rules of the blind rank and mourns the loss of the Living Room as the lads compare Sean MacDermott Street and Dorset Street. And Calvin's little brother Jesse O'Brien arrives early to record TBX and crashes the recording to ramp up the tension in studio. 34. A Bottler and A Fool
2026/04/06
After his comments about the deli roll had everyone up in arms, it was only right to have Calvin's little brother Jesse O'Brien back on the podcast to explain himself properly to Terence. But in usual TBX fashion, it doesn't take long for it to descend into stray digs, slaggings and call outs for straighteners. And the listeners are joining in on the action with a new beef kicking off two fellas who go to the same gym [even if it sounds more like a nightclub]. Calvin tracks down the man who told him about picking up a dead pigeon with Terence and honestly the more details are that are revealed the murkier the story gets. And the lads wonder if God would sound like he's from the inner city? Send your voicenotes and messages to 0876280241 or send an email to [email protected]

Episode 261 w/ Jenny Keane
2026/04/02
Sex educator Jenny Keane came into us with a whole heap of tips to spice up your sex life, from introducing toys in the bedroom to emptying the dishwasher. She explained the benefits of planned intimacy and how to get past periods of disconnection in a long term relationship. Jenny told us all about how humour kills shame and makes awkward conversations easier, as well as increasing the likelihood of orgasm. Since she was last in with us Jenny's had a baby and she opened up about how it's encouraged her to have a better work life balance and why she's so excited to take her new live show on tour. Episode 260 w/ Josh Rock
2026/04/01
Belfast's Josh Rock is already one of the best darts players in the world — currently ranked in the top 10. And he's only been playing professionally for the last 4 years after earning his Tour Card in 2022. Josh started playing darts at 2, cried when he lost his first match at 10 and hit his first 9-darter at 16, but it was only after Covid that he realised how good he really was. He talked to us about winning the world cup with Northern Ireland, what it would take for him to become world number 1, and who would win between Phil Taylor and Luke Littler. We sat down with him when the PDC hit the 3Arena for Premier League night. Get in touch on [email protected] This episode was sponsored by Rightstyle Furniture - RIGHT PRICE, RIGHT STYLE, RIGHT NOW. Bonus: Catch The Pigeon
2026/03/31
Terence starts this bonus episode off with an important question - "What do we do in these?" If, like him, you need a reminder, the bonus episodes are filled with listener questions on everything from saving lives to getting caught paying the TV license. They're also the perfect place to share sightings of hosts outside the studio, like the tale of Terence picking up dead birds outside the ILAC. Not to mention stories of missing eggs and missed opportunities. The lads make and very quickly ignore a promise to keep the peace as they all turn on each other. 33. Open The Vaults
2026/03/29
Now that he's back, Terence is suffering from paranoia that Calvin and Eoin bonded without him and it's made him even more likely to cause chaos than usual. Between getting upset by a listener's kind message and offended by a motivational quote, it's amazing he managed to answer any questions at all. Calvin's own personal Moby Dick, the pike in the canal, resurfaces and he argues against a recent sighting of jeans in the sauna. And while going back through the messages built up in the break, the lads find the most embarrassing story ever told on the podcast. That's all before Darren and Joe crash the recording to chat about seagulls, bank balances and a potential cross over quiz. If you'd like to get in touch send us a text or WhatsApp voicenote to 0876280241, or email us [email protected] Theme song is Two Boys From the Flats by Eddie Sherlock (who also appears in this episode via voicenote!)

Episode 259 w/ Ryan Tubridy
2026/03/26
It's the first episode back for Terence so who better to remind him how to interview someone than former Late Late show host Ryan Tubridy. Ryan took us back to the start reviewing films and books on the radio and TV as a young child and explained how even though he always felt drawn to journalism he didn't want to study it in college. He told us about taking on the biggest show in the country The Late Late, why he wishes it happened to him when he was a few years older, and how he went from being afraid to look Russell Crowe in the eye to playing tennis with him. We also talked about the pay scandal at RTE and the fallout from it. He explained why he loved when things got chaotic on live TV & why we never got the invite on the Late Late with him. Ryan's podcast The Book Shelf is taking to the stage across the country - Get your tickets here: linktr.ee/thebookshelfpodcast Get in touch on [email protected] This episode was sponsored by Rightstyle Furniture - RIGHT PRICE, RIGHT STYLE, RIGHT NOW. Bonus: Return to Power
2026/03/24
The day has come - Terry Flower is back behind the mic and he has a lot to say. Or rather, a lot to explain, everything from going to JD during the birth of his first child, to rumours that he died. There's serious chats about the brain surgery he underwent and the recovery afterwards, and not so serious chats about the tiger in the Lion King. Calvin reckons the two of them could still take on any other podcast duo in a fight, even though Terry's gone from threatening digs to written complaints and there's a revelation that neither of them saw coming.
