Bhagaiya is a village panchayat of Godda district in India's Jharkhand state and is known for traditional handloom silk manufacturing and weaving and for that reason is also as Resham Nagar, ie Silk Town. Its silk products have an influence of the Bhagalpur cluster and are marketed as Bhagalpuri Silk.

With close to 50 lakh people directly and indirectly involved, the handloom industry is the second-largest employment provider for the rural population in India after agriculture.
