Send us Fan Mail
Today I'm joined by drummer Rex Larkman of Tropidelic.
Bio: The Cleveland-based collective have built a sound that refuses to stay confined to one genre. What sets Tropidelic apart is their ability to seamlessly fuse laid-back island vibes with raw rock energy and deeply personal songwriting, creating music that feels equally at home at a festival singalong or blasting through car speakers at full volume.
Their newest album is out now. Check the link for more info, including the current tour.

I had a blast getting to know musician and Children's music superstar, Laurie Berkner. With more than 1.7 billion total streams, an average of more than 22 million monthly streams, more than 595 million YouTube channel views, and millions of CDs and DVDs sold, Laurie’s songs are beloved by families worldwide, including household staples like “We Are The Dinosaurs,” “Victor Vito,” and “Pig On Her Head.” People magazine called Laurie “the queen of kids’ music,” and the Los Angeles Times wrote, “Laurie Berkner does what Fred Rogers did: respect, validate, and reassure young children.”
Her latest album, Walking with Penguins is out now! Follow the link below to learn more, including purchasing her new album, or booking a ticket to her show!

Tony Stewart, Film-maker and author discusses his journey with grief in new memoir
2026/03/16
Send us Fan Mail
In the spirit of Paul Kalanithi’s When Breath Becomes Air and Joan Didion’s The Year of Magical Thinking comes Carrying the Tiger: Living with Cancer, Dying with Grace, Finding Joy While Grieving by Tony Stewart, a powerful story of love, loss, and recovery.
When Stewart’s wife, Lynn, receives a sudden and devastating diagnosis, their scramble begins to find effective treatment, navigate life-threatening setbacks, learn to live fully in the shadow of death, and, ultimately, to share the intimate grace of her final departure from this world. After Lynn’s death, with the help of friends old and new, Tony slowly climbs out of his shattering grief and, surprisingly, eases toward new love.
There is uncertainty, fear, and sorrow in his journey, but also tenderness and joy, along with a renewed perspective on what it means to live and love with one’s whole heart. Adapted from more than a decade of posts on CaringBridge.org that chronicled Tony’s odyssey, both at Lynn’s side and afterward, Carrying the Tiger is an honest, passionate, life-affirming tale about the full circle of life and death, one that offers a deeply intimate look at grief and its hopeful aftermath

Dustin Douglas, Guitarist of Dustin Douglas & The Electric Gentleman discusses latest album, shares wise words, and more
2025/11/18
Send us Fan Mail
One of the episodes recorded in the summer of 2025, Dustin and I dig deep into his inspirations, songwriting process, and he shares a lot of wise words, in addition to chatting about their latest album. This episode is great for any musician/songwriter, or fan's of blues-rock!
Fronted by ferocious guitarist/singer/songwriter Dustin Douglas, The Electric Gentlemen—rounded out by drummer Tommy Smallcomb and bassist Matt Gabriel—are known to deliver a heavy dose of swagger, groove, and rock 'n' roll attitude both on stage and in the studio.
IV—the fourth studio endeavor from Dustin Douglas & The Electric Gentlemen—is a raw, unapologetic, Blues-Rock Master course. It is a powerhouse album drenched in whiskey-soaked riffs and soaring Rock n’ Roll vocals that once again display Douglas’ meteoric rise as one of the heaviest hitters in the Blues-Rock world. The album was recorded at Eight Days a Week Studios in Northumberland, PA by Paul Smith (Badlees), who engineered and co-produced the album with Douglas. It was mixed and mastered by Nick Coyle (Lifer, Drama Club, Death Valley Dreams). IV is the follow-up album to DDEG’s 2023 release, BLACK LEATHER BLUES.
“IV is an album inspired by letting go of any musical chains,” says Dustin Douglas. “I had no intention of following any genre restraints or restrictions.”
