In this inning, I look at the oldest and youngest All Star players in the history of MLB and along the way, the rabbitholes take me to baseball stadium names, the DH, and an extraordinarily long career. 

Sadly, we must say goodbye to the voice of baseball. 

Ugh. What I thought would be a quick podcast about team names turned into way longer than I ever wanted to do and took way more work. This is not perfect, but it is done. I hope you learn some stuff and enjoy this really long episode. I think you can start to feel my aggravation about how long it is taking during the show itself. Sorry about that.  On the plus side, this is the first episode with the brand new Rabbithole theme song by Danny Rockett. If you don't like the episode, at least you will like the song. 

Over the winter of 2021-22, the team in Cleveland changed their name to the Guardians. This led me to wonder "How many names have all the MLB teams had in their history?" This led me on a superficial trek through the history of each team, what they were called, and where they called home. There are 30 teams in the MLB, so I'm actually only doing the National League in the Top of the Third. 

Who was the first woman to play baseball on a professional team? It goes back farther than you think. 

It's a special anniversary for work stoppages in MLB and the players may have lost the 1994 strike. It's all in this episode of the Baseball Rabbithole.
