Adulting is Exhausting w/ Guest Piper Peppers
2024/11/24
I remember being a teenager, expressing great interest in becoming an adult. I take it all back! LOL. I was only interested in having the freedom to do as I pleased without authority, rules or direction from the adults in my life. I never wanted the responsibility of being an adult. Now, that I have the freedom of choice, I rather have my life managed and financed by mature adult.
I do believe social media has shaped this narrative of what an "adult" should be in order to be considered "successful." Social media is a life that we must not try to create into our own realities.
Piper and I discuss "adulting" and our own vision of success in this episode. I hope you enjoy the show!!!

The Power of Time
2023/07/02
Knowledge and Wisdom are wonderful. Knowledge is having the information. Wisdom is knowing when to use that information. The difference between two come in time. Be gracious to ourselves and other. Allow people the time to learn , change and make corrections. Hopefully during that same time you find it in your heart to forgive because you’ve learned something too. ❤️

Adult Friendships
2023/04/16
Do you remember "No New Friends" by Dj Khaled? Can you believe that song was released 9 years ago? Time sure does fly by. I used to scream those lyrics so loud! I am very introverted. All I knew were my "Day one, A one" friends. Many of us like to tell ourselves lies that we've formed based on past hurtful experiences when it comes to forming new friendships. The truth is... ya scared!
One this episode, Chermel and I discuss our experience with becoming friends later in life.

Great Black Television Shows
2022/07/25
This episode was inspired by the tv show 'The Chi'. The Chi is drama television series created by Lena Waithe (Black Woman) about life in a neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. The show is in its' fifth season. I have not missed one episode. I love that the show touches on many subject that has an impact on OUR culture. Subjects that we often tip toe around in our own homes and families. I feel the show it what our culture needed at this time.
There have been many successful black television shows that have left lasting impressions on hearts of many. On this show we'll be taking a stroll down history lane.
Where I've Been.
2022/07/16
Hey, Good People! In this episode, I will expose my truths on why I disappear from time to time. I struggle with NOT being seen and heard. Comparison holds me back from moving forward. I question myself about if I'm really making a difference? Does what I'm trying to do even matter? Am I making a impact?
Self-Talk is loud!! Make sure yours is positive.
How To Be A Wife.
2022/04/10
As a little girl, I had hopes of marrying my Prince Charming and riding off into sunset. As I became of age, with more wisdom, my desires changed finding a Great Man/King to share my life with... My fairytale often started off with me in a beautiful white dress, on a beach, surrounded by friends and family. I now know the wedding MAY be easier planning than the work that it will take to maintain our union.
On this episode, Mrs. Stephanie Hunt joins me to discuss how she has created a successful 20- year marriage. Stephanie speaks on the importance of core foundations, respect and submission while give tips that help her to sustain her own marriage.
