The pundits have spoken and the prognostications do not look very promising for your 26-27 St. Louis Blues. We're trying to make sense of why we're underdogs and what could be the best (and worst) outcomes for the team this year. Also, we discuss some controversies, hated rivals and also a surprise that Joe unleashes at the end of the episode. It's the most wonderful time of the year again: Blues Hockey has returned!!! Chris is on assignment this week chasing tornadoes somewhere in Oklahoma (catch his latest episode as a guest on the Radkast, Ep. 269 RK 90s Summer26 Twister w/Chris Hoehne).  Meanwhile, Joe has decided to do a new series on FTP called FTP Interviews. We kick this series off with Corey Young, a dedicated and passionate Blues fan that Joe just happened to start chatting with a year ago on his TikTok channel (stlhockeyfan1). Since then, Joe has been wanting to get Corey on and interview him about his content, channel and also music. This was such a fun afternoon and we really hope to have Corey on again as guest! Check out Corey at stlhockeyfan1 or STL Hockey Fan on all socials. In addition, you can find his music at G&G Sounds on Spotify, Distrokid, etc.  If you would like to be a guest on future FTP Interviews installments (with Joe, Chris or both), don't hesitate to reach out and DM us on our socials (fromthepointpc) or email us at [email protected]. We would love to continue this series, regardless if you're a fellow fan or even a personality within the St. Louis Blues community! From the NHL draft, organizational changes, trades and signings and the impending arrival of NHL 27, this made for one beefy discussion regarding not only the Blues, but one incredibly insane start to the offseason. We might have also setup the table for an upcoming episode....... DISCLAIMER: At the top of the episode, Joe issued an important apology. To reiterate, we wanted to recognize our oversight of the Dillon Dube signing by the Blues. We condemn his prior behavior and really hope the organization rectifies the signing and the situation sooner rather than later. We are diehard fans and always will be. However, we will also be critical of the organization, especially when they make controversial, suspect or outright wrong decisions. We really appreciate all of your understanding and support. The season may be over for both the St. Louis Blues and the Springfield Thunderbirds, but we have soldiered on with the epic conclusion to the Jersey Extravaganza we started last year with Matt and Steven Webster from the Radkast (IG: theradkast)! We added a few wrinkles and detours on this one and even incorporated our favorite 90s jerseys from all teams in the NHL.  This episode was an absolute blast from start to finish, but unless we're talking about current jersey events, this will be the last time for a few years that we'll be discussing a complete review of jerseys. However, this is not the last you'll hear from the Webster twins! We plan on having them on again sometime soon. In addition, we would love to add some new guests on this podcast, so if you want to throw your hat in the ring, message us on Instagram at fromthepointpc! Our fifth year of FTP has started! We cannot thank all of you enough for the support for a podcast that is just two dudes who are diehard fans of the Blue Note on the sweater. This time, Chris and Joe discuss 3D printed creations and the state of the franchise now that the trade deadline has passed. Are we tanking or are we just becoming that team that's giving playoff contenders headaches? We also make some bold predictions on where the franchise is going after this season presumably ends in less than a month.  PS: Leave us a five star review with some comments. We might share it the next time we get together! Thank you for liking, listening and subscribing to From the Point: A Blues Hockey Podcast! If you like what you’ve heard, leave us a five star review! It took us long enough, but we finally went to a hockey game together! November 29th, 2025 will go down as a milestone in our friendship and also in FTP history! Completely unscripted, we ramble on about what we experienced at the game and other random side notes from video games, to the new Blues jersey to food. Also, the Blues won, so there's that. Chris and Joe are 1-0 in going to games together, so we are at a perfect record as its stands! Thank you for liking, listening and subscribing to From the Point: A Blues Hockey Podcast! SURPRISE! We're back!! 2025 has been such a blur, that it doesn't seem like the Blues went from heroes to zeros all in the span of five-ish months. Chris blames it from a premature playoff celebration, Joe calls it just a team that's getting old. We lament the team's struggles on this episode, try to find solutions, wax poetic about 70s style hockey, and talk a lot about food. Honestly, it's just good to get behind the mic before the end of the year and chat. Enjoy and thank you for your support!! Many of you recall a few years ago, we did a jersey episode featuring my brother Dan. It is still to this very day, one of our most downloaded episodes in Blues history. Since then, there's been some additions to the jersey history we've been itching to cover. Joining us in this expanded jersey episode this time are Matt and Steven Webster from the Radkast, where we are giving you all a full ranking individually of the jersey history, our GOAT tier sweaters and the worst of the worst.  In addition, we also did a fan poll on Instragram through a jersey tournament. The final round featured the 88-94 Blue jerseys vs. the 94-98 Blue jerseys. If you were wanting to find out the winner, you can here! This episode is so action packed that this is going to be a two parter, so stay tuned for the next installment! Hello 2025! Our first episode of the new year features a recap of our lives and the Blues season since our last episode in September (yes, we know, we've been slacking.....again). We rant and rave about the Winter Classic and how to fix it, the NHL's Quarter Century Blues team, the Blues HOF inductions and how our new Head Coach, Jim Montgomery, is a soundbyte machine.  Big shoutouts to Ty and RD Kulik (The X Millennial Man Podcast) and NHL Gateway for their support and interactions. We appreciate you! PS: We have gone to Blue Skies. You can now find us on BlueSky at fromthepointpc (duh......) Hockey is right around the corner! Offer sheets and other offseason antics. To say that hockey has been silent in the Summer would be an outright lie. Chris and Joe offer their insights into a very unconventional move done by the Blues, all of the new additions, give some initial season predictions, and we also pay tribute to the late Johnny Gaudreau (along with his brother, Matthew). FINALLY! 25 Episodes!!! It's a personal milestone for us and to celebrate, we're highlighting not only some offseason news, but also the announcement of Alexander Steen being elevated to GM after the 2025-26 season! We weigh in on the promotion and also offer a retrospective on his legendary career with the 'Note.  Thank you for liking, listening and subscribing to From the Point: A Blues Hockey Podcast! It has been a long time coming, but WE HAVE RETURNED! This podcast was on the brink of shutting down, but we missed each other and we missed providing you all our insights into our beloved St. Louis Blues. Chris and Joe catch up on life, the state of the Blues franchise currently (UPDATE: Bannister was elevated to Head Coach), the Stanley Cup Playoffs (UPDATE: It's Florida vs. Edmonton) and where we're going from here.  We really appreciate all of the love and support throughout our podcasting purgatory, but we're not going away! Stay tuned for Episode 25, as this epic one has been a long time in the making. THE BOYS ARE BACK!!!! Thank you for liking, listening and subscribing to From the Point: A Blues Hockey Podcast! Before we return with all new content, it would only be fitting to drop the only other episode that was recorded in 2023. This was a continuation of our Rivalries series (which we will continue in a different format), highlighting and lowlighting the moments in Blues franchise history versus the Colorado Avalanche.  We recorded this in tandem with our brothers in podcasting, Matt and Steven Webster, from The Radkast. In fact, this was actually recorded in the same afternoon as their second part feature of 90s hockey, which we were guests on. Check out Episode 127 of the Radkast to hear that feature (and maybe even some references we did here). It was an epic recording, complete with stuffed crust Pizza Hut pizza. From the Point has a shiny new episode almost ready to drop. Thank you all for your patience and continued support. We’re back, so stay tuned for a shiny new episode soon! LET’S GO BLUES!!! 2023 was a kick in the teeth for us. We almost shut this thing down, but your unwavering support and a surprise amount of downloads gave us some inspiration to return, albeit reimagined, with new content. The Blues are in a very promising spot next season, so we think it would only be appropriate to be along for the ride and deliver you all new episodes. Thank you all for your patience, love and support. Stay tuned for an unreleased episode as a showing of our gratitude. Let’s Go Blues! Join your co-hosts Chris and Joe as we do a bit of a deep dive into one of, if not THE biggest rivalries to ever grace St. Louis hockey, and that is the rivalry to the Chicago Blackhawks. We hear from our Chief Content Purr-ator, get audibly ill, share some laughs, and dive into some heavy stuff in this one so buckle up, you're in for one heck of a ride!  Thank you for liking, listening and subscribing to From the Point: A Blues Hockey Podcast!
