114 | The Hidden Addiction Christians Don’t Talk About
2026/01/27
Send us a text We don’t talk about this enough... but there’s a hidden craving many Christians wrestle with in silence. It’s quiet. It’s powerful. And it’s shaping your heart in ways you might not even notice. In this episode, we break it down: the signs, the real-life impact, and why pretending it doesn’t exist is keeping you stuck. This isn’t about shame. it’s about awareness, confrontation, and stepping into freedom. If you’ve ever felt the pull of something you can’t seem to shake… or if you’re tired of seeing others struggle in silence, this message is for you. We go deep, we get real, and we point you to hope that actually works. 2026/01/20
Send us a text can you be a believer in Jesus—and still not actually follow Jesus?   In this video, we break down what Scripture really means by “disciple,” why Jesus never told us to “make converts,” and the difference between admiration vs devotion (because devotion always costs you).   Sign up for Theos University - The best way to learn theology https://www.theosu.ca/?via=Spencernak ___________________________ Download my FREE 5-day Devotional helping you understand the importance of The Word of God https://mailchi.mp/d3bd65882c1a/5-day...

112 | Why Rushing God Is Actually Delaying Your Life
2026/01/13
Send us a text What if the very thing you think is helping you move forward… is actually the reason you feel stuck? In this episode, we talk about why rushing God often delays the very life He’s preparing you for. Drawing from the story of Israel, the contrast between the Moses generation and the Joshua generation, and Scripture like Joshua 3, we unpack how impatience, self-sufficiency, and presumption quietly lead to years of wandering. 111 | Candace Owens & Turning Point: Deciphering the Madness
2025/12/16
Send us a text I did not want to make this episode. I hate clickbait culture. I hate capitalizing on current events. And I hate watching tragedy turned into content. But after months of listening, observing, and being asked nonstop about Candace Owens, Turning Point, and the death of Charlie Kirk, I felt compelled to speak from a biblical perspective. This episode is not about picking sides. It is about Christian ethics, discernment, free speech, and fruit. Scripture tells us to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Yet we live in a moment where outrage is rewarded and patience is mocked. I walk through the controversy, explain why asking questions is not wrong, why free speech matters, and where I believe Candace Owens crosses a line biblically. Not because of conclusions, but because of fruit. The ends do not justify the means. Truth does not fear exposure. And fruit never lies. This is not political commentary. It is a Christian examination rooted in Scripture.

110 | Why "NO" Is The Best Thing God Could Tell You
2025/12/02
Send us a text There are moments when God’s answer isn’t yes, isn’t later, isn’t maybe... it’s no. And for most of us, that’s the hardest answer to accept. But in Scripture, especially in 1 Samuel 8, we see something shocking: sometimes God’s no is the most protective, loving, and necessary thing He could ever give us. Israel wanted a king so badly that they didn’t care about the cost. They wanted control, predictability, and their own version of security. And God loved them enough to warn them, confront them, and ultimately allow their decision to expose what was broken inside them. This message explores why God’s no is often better than our yes, why He blocks certain desires, and how His denial is actually His direction. If you’ve ever been frustrated, confused, or disappointed by God, this teaching will bring clarity to what He’s doing beneath the surface.

109 | One Decision That Will Determine Your Next 5 Years
2025/11/25
Send us a text Everyone wants a different life in five years. We pray for breakthrough, we set goals, we read books, we cut toxic people, we grind harder… and yet we remain the exact same person year after year. Why? Because most people overlook the one decision that actually shapes every part of their future. This isn’t about manifesting success or chasing a highlight reel. I’m talking about the one posture that Scripture commands and that quietly builds resilience, joy, stability, and spiritual maturity. It’s not emotional, it’s not circumstantial, and it’s not about pretending life is perfect. It’s the one decision that reveals what you really believe about God. If you want a completely different life in five years, this is where it starts. 2025/10/14
Send us a text In this episode, Spencer unpacks why spiritual discipline is not just a nice idea — it’s a battle strategy. 105 | Elon Musk, Netflix, and Why its so Easy to Rage Bait Christians
2025/10/07
Send us a text In this episode of The Future Is Now Podcast, Spencer Nakamura unpacks the chaos surrounding Elon Musk’s “Cancel Netflix” movement—and asks the question few believers are willing to: Are we thinking biblically, or just emotionally? Spencer explores the cycle of outrage culture, the difference between canceling vs. testing, and why followers of Jesus must develop spiritual discernment in an age of manipulation. Later in the show, Spencer reacts to William Matthews’ deconstruction story (former Bethel worship leader) and a viral “Subway Takes” video where a non-believer exposes the Church’s lack of urgency about evangelism. This isn’t about outrage—it’s about maturity, urgency, and truth. Learn how to test the spirits (1 John 4:1), train your discernment (Hebrews 5:13-14), and lead culture instead of following it. 103 | What Does "Turning The Other Cheek" Really Mean As a Christian?
2025/09/23
Send us a text This episode unpacks one of the most misunderstood verses in Scripture: Jesus’ command to “turn the other cheek” (Matthew 5:38–42). Spencer Nakamura explores what Jesus really meant, the Old Testament context of “eye for an eye,” and why this teaching doesn’t call believers to be passive or tolerate abuse. With commentary on the Charlie Kirk memorial, Romans 12 vs. Romans 13, and five common myths about turning the other cheek, this episode clarifies the difference between a believer’s mandate to forgive and the government’s role to uphold justice. If you’ve ever wondered whether Christians should defend themselves, confront sin, or reconcile after forgiveness, this episode will give you clarity, biblical depth, and practical application. 10 Timestamps 00:00 – Introduction: Why “turn the other cheek” is so often misunderstood02:30 – The danger of twisted interpretations online05:00 – Matthew 5 explained: insult vs. retaliation07:15 – Old Testament context: the ceiling of justice (Exodus & Leviticus)10:00 – What Jesus was correcting in the Pharisees’ hearts11:30 – Insults vs. safety: why “cheek” ≠ life-threatening violence14:30 – Lessons from the Charlie Kirk memorial: forgiveness vs. justice18:00 – Romans 12 vs. Romans 13: believer vs. government roles24:00 – Myths about turning the other cheek (abuse, pacifism, ignoring sin)30:00 – Forgiveness vs. reconciliation: boundaries and wisdom Sign up for Theos University - The best way to learn theology https://www.theosu.ca/?via=Spencernak ___________________________ Give a one-time donation to the Podcast https://spencernakamura.com/donation __________________________ Download my FREE 5-day Devotional helping you understand the importance of The Word of God https://mailchi.mp/d3bd65882c1a/5-day-devotional

102 | The Charlie Kirk Effect: What His Assassination Means for Christians
2025/09/16
Send us a text This episode of The Future Is Now dives into the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk and why I believe he should be remembered as a modern-day martyr. We explore the historic parallels between John the Baptist, the early church under Rome, and the dangerous patterns of persecution rising today. From Ephesians 6 and the armor of God to the cult of Artemis in Ephesus, I break down how culture-driven idolatry in the first century mirrors what we face in America right now. Persecution doesn’t start with violence—it starts with mockery, marginalization, and silence. Scriptures covered: Matthew 14, Philippians 1:12–18, Proverbs 29:18, Ephesians 6. If this episode challenges you, share it with someone who needs to hear truth today. Don’t forget to subscribe, leave a review, and join the movement of Christians standing boldly in these times.
