The Pep Talk: Trust the Pace of Your Becoming
2026/06/17
What if the version of you that got you here was never meant to be the final version of you? In this nearly final episode of the Changing Identities series, we’re closing this chapter with a message of hope, encouragement, and renewed energy as we continue learning who we are in each new season of life. Identity is not something we figure out once and complete — it is fluid, constantly changing and evolving with us. The roles, labels, expectations, and stories we carry were often created to protect us, but as we grow, we have the opportunity to reconnect with ourselves and choose what still feels true. This is your invitation to move from identity conflict into identity conversation. To pause and ask: Does the way I’m moving through the world reflect who I want to be? In this episode, we explore personal growth, self-discovery, navigating life transitions, releasing comparison, trusting your own pace of becoming, and building confidence by letting your values lead the way. You don’t need to have all the answers today. You don’t need to rush the process. You just need a moment to reconnect with yourself. Support the show Thank you for listening! With a professional background in leadership, program development, and community-building, she has spent years designing spaces that bring people together with intention. Shifting from Comparison to Curiosity
2026/04/22
If you’ve ever felt stuck in the loop of comparing your life, your success, or your timeline to someone else’s — you’re not alone. And more importantly, you’re not broken. Comparison isn’t a personal flaw. It’s conditioning. But when left unchecked, it can quietly fuel anxiety, self-doubt, and emotional burnout. In this episode, I’m sharing my personal experience with comparison anxiety — how it showed up in my life, the toll it took, and the subtle shift that helped me move through it. Instead of trying to “stop comparing” (which rarely works), I explore a more powerful reframe: moving from comparison to curiosity. You’ll learn: The three mindset shifts that helped me interrupt comparison patternsHow to use comparison as data instead of self-judgmentA gentle practice to help you shift your thinking in real timeBecause while comparison may not disappear completely, your relationship to it can change — and that’s where freedom begins. Take a breath, press play, and give yourself permission to see your life through a different lens. Support the show Thank you for listening! What stood out for you in today's episode? Rebuilding Identity From the Inside Out
2026/04/08
What if you’re not actually rebuilding who you are… but remembering? In this episode, I explore the shift from performance-based identity to living in alignment with your true self — your values, boundaries, and inner knowing. So many of us learn early on that our self-worth is tied to achievement, recognition, and meeting expectations. Over time, this can turn into people-pleasing, perfectionism, and a constant need for external validation — leaving you feeling disconnected, stuck, or unfulfilled. But what happens when that way of being stops working? This episode of the More Than Lucky Podcast is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what actually matters. We talk about what it looks like to move away from performance-driven living, how to identify your core values, and how those values shape your confidence, decisions, and relationships. If you’ve been feeling out of alignment, navigating an identity shift, or questioning the life you’ve built, this conversation will help you come back to yourself. Letting Go Without Burning It Down
2026/03/18
Throughout our lives, we take on roles — sometimes intentionally, and sometimes simply because life, family dynamics, or circumstances place them on us. In this episode of More Than Lucky, I’m exploring what it means to let go of identities and expectations that may have shaped us for years but no longer feel aligned with who we’re becoming. During seasons of personal growth and life transition, these roles can quietly influence the choices we make and the pressure we place on ourselves. Maybe you’ve been the responsible one.  The one who doesn’t disappoint.  The one who stays quiet, keeps the peace, or carries more than your share. These identities can shape how we see ourselves — and how we believe we’re expected to show up in the world. I also reflect on how even positive change can challenge the identity we’ve built around a habit, a role, or a way of being. When we release these identities, it can leave us wondering who we are without them. Today’s conversation is about learning how to let go without burning everything down — and how to move forward with clarity while honoring the parts of ourselves that got us here. At the end of the episode, I share this week’s gentle practice: The Soft Unhook — a small reflection to help you notice the roles or expectations you may be ready to loosen your grip on. Reinventing Yourself Without Losing Your Peace
2026/03/04
There’s a space many women experience — but rarely name. It’s the quiet, sometimes uncomfortable season between who you were and who you’re becoming. In today’s episode, we’re talking about the in-between — that season of reinvention where clarity hasn’t fully arrived, the old ways don’t quite fit anymore, and you’re not entirely sure who you are right now. It’s not a dramatic transformation story. It’s not the polished “after.” It’s the middle. If you’re navigating a life transition, identity shift, or subtle personal reinvention in your 30s or 40s, this conversation will help you normalize the discomfort, zoom out, and move forward with calm confidence. Because growth doesn’t always look bold.  Sometimes it looks like sitting patiently in the unknown — and trusting who you’re becoming. Support the show Thank you for listening! The Universe Has Your Back Transforming Fear into Faith Book Review with Jeanne Castellanos Pt. 1
2021/12/31
My special guest this week, Jeanne Castellanos, joins me for a book review and chat about The Universe Has Your Back, Transforming Fear into Faith by Gabrielle Bernstein. Jeanne has mentioned Gabby to me and this book I think at the end of 2020. Not too long after that Gabby popped up on my Instagram (as it always does) and I decided to dive in with a 21 day manifesting challenge. Did it ever have an impact on me!! At the end of this episode I share a big moment I had after recorded with Jeanne. This fall I spent time reading Gabby's The Universe Has Your Back Transforming Fear into Faith and I've enjoyed it so much I can't shut up. Everyone in my circle has heard about it now and I want to share it with my listeners. Learn more about Gabby here This January I am taking on the manifestation challenge once again and I am looking forward to setting myself up for a fruitful 2022. The Joys and Truths of Friendship with Laurie Midgely
2021/12/10
This week's episode is extra special as I celebrate 25 years of friendship with one of my besties. Laurie Brooks Midgely joins me and we chat about first impressions, causing trouble in Washington and how we built a stronger friendship living and working together at sea. One of the unique storylines in life we share is our mutual unusually good luck in winning  all sorts of things including theatre tickets, trips to vegas and t-shirts. It only gets better when we debate who is most lucky or what areas of life we're most lucky in (Laurie has bingo, hands down). Our chat concludes with a look back on a trip that could have been a disaster and very disappointing, we share the secret as to why it was a trip that we'll never forget after a quick pivot. I would love to hear from you what you have learned about building strong friendships. Send me an email and I'll share your story in a future episode. The Bucket List Episode with Erica Lear
2021/12/02
My sister Erica returns for a fun chat about all the things we're glad we did in 2021 and the items that are on our bucket list for 2022. The past couple of years have been tough and we've been without many of our regular activities and events. When we do go out, reservations are increasingly a must so planning in advance also becomes an important part of the process. What do you want to plan for 2022? Having plans to look forward to is also a key aspect in our marking of time passing and feeling like we're living with purpose. I think Erica takes home the gold for her accomplishments in 2021 which leaves some pretty big shoes for us both to fill with our bucket list items for 2022. Feel the Fear and Do it Anyways
2021/11/25
Right before I recorded this episode I was meditating and became aware of all the countless times I didn't know I was scared. Fear lurks in the shadows and can dominate the light in our life. Today's episode reflects on what I've learned abut fear. I talk about what fear might look like in your life how we can free ourselves from carrying it along. No matter if it is a fear of a relationship, instigating change in your life or generally seeking more peace, freeing ourselves of daily fear leads to more joy!
