Caring without Burning Out: Self care, Support and Boundaries
2026/03/14
In this episode, our host Raeann and Avyukta will talk about self-care, emotional boundaries, and how to support your friends without burning yourself out. From learning to say “no” to understanding what it really means to hold space for someone, we unpack the messy balance between being there for others and taking care of yourself. Because healthy friendships aren’t about being available 24/7 — they’re about respect, trust, and knowing your limits.
Holding On While Growing Apart: Friendships and Social Support
2026/02/20
Ever felt like you’re trying to hold on while growing apart? In this 6-minute episode, Raeann and Avyukta will talk about how friendships change in university—when life gets busy, replies get slower, and you start wondering if you still matter. We’ll unpack why social support still counts even when it looks different, how to reach out without feeling “too much,” and small, realistic ways to keep a bond alive. And if some friendships are meant to evolve rather than stay the same, we’ll hold space for that too—gently, without guilt. You’re not “too much”, and you’re not failing; sometimes people grow in different directions, and you can still honour what you shared while taking care of your heart.
Running on the different timeline: FOMO & The Dating Scene in University
2026/02/13
Feeling like everyone’s ahead of you — dating, relationships, “life milestones” — while you’re just trying to survive uni? In this episode, our host Raeann and Avyukta will unpack FOMO in the dating scene: the pressure to keep up, comparison culture, situationships, and the fear of being “left behind.” We talk about pacing yourself, setting boundaries, and choosing what actually fits your timeline.
You are more than your GPA
2026/02/06
After talking about internships in our previous episode, we’re now tackling another big university stressor — grades. Let’s be real… GPA pressure is everywhere. But are grades really the ultimate definition of success, or is there more to the story? Hosted by Daniel and Bernicia, this episode dives into raw, honest conversations about academic pressure, imposter syndrome, burnout, and the constant comparison culture many students face. Our student guest opens up about switching academic paths, dealing with self-doubt, and figuring out how to grow beyond just chasing numbers. If you’ve ever felt like your GPA defines your worth, this episode is for you. We’re here to remind you that university is more than grades — it’s about growth, learning, friendships, experiences, and discovering who you are. Because at the end of the day, your GPA is just one chapter of your story — not the whole book.
You are more than your internship!
2026/01/23
In a world where internships are often seen as the ultimate measure of success, it’s natural to feel anxious, behind, or unsure about whether we are truly ready for our future careers. As part of the NUS Career Fair 2026, happening on 10 February, we’re glad to share this special episode that explores internships, career journeys, and what success really means. Through an honest and thoughtful conversation, student hosts Bernicia and Daniel sit down with CFG career advisor Mr Freddie Lim to reflect on the pressures surrounding internships and career expectations. Together, they gently shift the focus toward skills, values, personal growth, and well-being. This episode offers a reassuring reminder that your path is your own — and you are more than your internship. You can find out more about the career fair here: https://nus.edu.sg/cfg/nuscareerfest
They are thriving: Neurodivergence (Part 2)
2026/01/10
This part of the episode continues to explore the lived experiences of neurodivergent students as they navigate university life. The guests speak openly about loneliness, burnout, and the emotional challenges that ASD and ADHD bring, especially within competitive academic environments like NUS. They discuss misunderstandings in friendships, limitations of diagnostic systems, and the reality that society is often not designed for neurodivergent minds. At the same time, they highlight unique strengths such as creativity and specialised talents and share how they continue to practise empathy and care for others despite difficulties in interpreting emotions. The conversation emphasises meaningful self-care, seeking support, and approaching others with compassion. The episode concludes with heartfelt advice and relevant resources available in NUS (such as the Student Accessible Unit) for neurodivergent students and a reminder that help and community are always available.
