The glitz, the glam, the awards, the surprises, and yes, whatever that James Bond number was (hint: not good, sweetie).  We talk all things Anora, Mikey's big upset (we love you Elisabeth Sparkle), Brody's endless speech, and the stunning opening number (Cynthia Erivo EGOT when?). Is this now an awards season podcast? Well.. maybe for the next 2 weeks at least! The Chair and Holly are back -- this time tackling the upcoming 2025 Oscars. Are there more important things to discuss? Is the world in crisis? Sure, but hey, we gotta find some joy where we can! We are over the moon (on top of 30 Rock perhaps!) to announce the upcoming official release of The Chair's newest endeavor -- a book on all things Saturday Night Live. Join Holly while she interviews our beloved Chair, Steven Ginsberg and his co-author (and husband and all around brilliant guy) Stephen Tropiano, about their incredible new book, The SNL Companion: An Unofficial Guide to the Seasons, Sketches, and Stars of Saturday Night Live (available for purchase starting on September 17!). Because we could barely contain our conversation to just one episode (I mean there's 50 seasons, how could we?), this is part 1 of our discussion where we delve into the evolution of SNL, who still watches SNL, the politics, the stars, and even a chance meeting with the real Linda Richman (spoiler: they were not verklempt). 

We can call this episode a "Stefon" because truly it. has. everything. The Chair and Holly talk all things summer pop culture, from Kamala's entrance into the presidential race, to summer blockbusters (Twisters? Really?), and our favorite Emmy nominations (Jamie Lee, make room on your shelf). But what it all comes down to is taste... and we think we got that taken care of.
