Description

Why do we do things the way we do them? This is a question with many answers. Our attempt to get to the bottom of it is continuous. In our monthly podcast we attempt to examine this question from every angle; from what motivates us, to how we define ourselves, to how others would define us. Most of all, we’ll seek input from industry experts in our field inside and outside of our circle. We want to get to the bottom of the what, why, and how of engineering. We’re listeners, we’re teachers, and we’re community leaders. We also just happen to be engineers. With that out of the way, let’s learn something new today.

Parks & Recreation with Mark Thompson

Episode Notes Public parks, no matter how big or small, are pivotal to communities, especially underserved ones. Everybody needs a safe outdoor space, whether it’s to play or relax. They also act as the glue that binds the fabric of our community together. A good, clean park usually begets a good, clean neighborhood. We’re advocates of community-focused engineering. That takes on many shapes. For one, it means the decisions we make should serve the greater good of our community. Parks and recreation couldn’t more obviously embody that, so we’ve turned our focus to it. This podcast is powered by Pinecast.
