061: Things That Peeve Us, Part 1
2022/06/23
But whyyyy are they called “pet peeves” though?! Where does the “pet” part come in?! Pets are great. (There's a sneak peek into what the entire episode is gonna sound like, FYI!) Do you ever have those times in life where those little annoyances add up? Same! Sometimes it's good to just release it and that's exactly what we did this week! A literal back and forth of what peeves us. V fun. V cathartic. We missed a v big one though… The Instagram algorithm. Doesn't that just peeve everyone just a liiiitle?! Join us on the pet peeve spiral and let us know some of yours!
060: Taking Own(h)ership
2022/06/16
Are you taking a break OR are you making excuses?! We have a convo to decipher the difference between the two. There's a fine line between procrastination and avoidance and simply doing what you can to avoid burnout. We discuss how we've been able to call ourselves out, take own(h)ership for our actions (or inaction), and get real about how to decide whether those things you're putting off or taking a break from are actually serving you. And obvi, we're a bit silly in this one too. Whenever we switch up when we record our episodes, we tend to get a bit loopy, so enjoy, Boo Crew! Don't forget to comment on this episode's post with our secret code word, k?! K cool, cool, cool.
059: Being a Beginner
2022/06/09
Every expert was once a beginner. But it's not often talked about. It needed talking about… So we talked about it! Those awko taco early days at a new job or learning a new skill or taking on a new responsibility. We often admire others for what they've accomplished or the success they've seen but what about how they got there?! What about what it felt like to be a beginner?! Being a beginner can be overwhelming and scary, and also FUN AF! Tune in as we throw it back and reflect on what being a beginner has looked like (and currently looks) for us! Was there ever a time when you were afraid to be a beginner?! How did you deal with those feels?! We'd love to hear about it, Boo Crew! Sliiide into the DMs on the IG machine @igotyouboopod OR electronic mail us at [email protected]!
058: Communication Is Key
2022/06/02
We hear it all the time, communication is the most important thing in relationships. However, we all communicate differently! This week, we communicate about our communication. We discuss our differing styles of communication, how we communicate with each other in our own relationship, as well as how we've learned a lot in order to better communicate in other relationships in our lives! Enneagram numbers are at play when it comes to this too - for good and for grace. We say grace because we can use those “default settings” (that's what we're choosing to call ‘em) as things to be aware. This allows us to act and react more effectively instead of having them serve as barriers that hold us back from cultivating healthier relationships. How has self exploration helped the way you communicate with loved ones? Have you hesitated this type of self work? LET US KNOW, BOO CREW! Communicate with us *wink wink* by sliiiiding into those DMs or emailing us at [email protected]!
057: Breathwork & Beyond with Kelsey Fish
2022/05/26
This conversation gave a whole new meaning to “Just breathe!” Our breath is so important. And often, we don't give it the attention it deserves. Our breathing helps regulate our nervous system, make us feel safe and grounded, and even impacts our energy levels - just a few of the things we learned during our chat with Kelsey Fish.
A Breathwork Coach and host of the Soul Share podcast, Kelsey's work is focused getting in tune with your breath, and as a result of that, your body. Our minds, hearts, and nervous systems are so grateful for Kelsey sharing her knowledge and time with us to help us learn what breathwork really is and the power it holds in the healing process. As always our DMs and email is always open to hear what you learned and thought about this week (and every week) episode! Learn as much as we did? Get more Kelsey by following her on socials! Check her out on the IG @KelseyFish_
056: Ask Us Anything!
2022/05/19
Well Boo Crew, this one is all over the place and if you've been around for awhile, this doesn't come as a surprise! We chat everything from Becca's birthday to death row to dad hats to reverse cowgirl. Buckle up! We're here for it! And hope you are too! Mallon has been encouraging us to do an episode like this for a whiiiile… So we did it. And it was fuuun! So fun, in fact, that we're thinking of make it more of a regular thing. A segment, maybe?! Let us know your thoughts! Any and all questions are not only welcome but highly encouraged! DM us @igotyouboopod or email us [email protected]
055: Chaotic Current Events
2022/05/12
The world has been heavy recently; can we all collectively agree? This week, we unpack thoughts and feels of Kim K at the MET. Along with the ripple effect of her toxic her actions in preparation for the event, and and her responses in interviews while she was there. We take a quick left to the Roe v Wade overturn leak in the US Supreme Court. Our initial thoughts, what it means for women and marginalized communities and what we can possibly do to help! Recording this episode, we understand that we aren't political professionals , nor do we claim to fully understand or have all the answers. But we ARE two women navigating this heavy ? with you all and wanted to create a safe, respectful space for you to sit at our table and hopefully help release some of the weight you may be carrying on your shoulders. As always, we're so grateful you're here sharing your time and energy with us in this beautiful (and ever growing) community!
054: Breaking Free From Food with Jessi Jean
2022/05/05
Jessi Jean is a food freedom coach. She helps women overcome their unhealthy relationship with food; she is also the host of the Dear Body Podcast! She brings that big sis energy! You know the kind. The tough love, the gentle nudge of wisdom, the telling you what you need to hear type vibe. And we're so happy to be able to bring that to YOU, Boo Crew! Her message and mission is v much what the younger version of ourselves needed to hear. Jessi opens up about her own path to food freedom, shares some of her best practices, and shows us that you truly can reach a place where you no longer associate your worth with what your body looks like. Powerful stuff. Lean into this greatness with us and let us know what tips and takeaways you have after tuning in! Find Jessi on the socials @jessijeannn
053: Sad B!tch AND Bad B!tch: The Dopeness of Duality
2022/04/28
We are back this week to talk about the power of duality! And also discuss our love for all things 90s music, apparently. Oh, and Becca's love for the squatty potty. Yup. We keep it interesting around here, Boo Crew! When we're not being silly and we move on to serious, we discuss how we shifted the mindsets into duality and how it has helped us both to stay in our own lane while also not getting our own way! This week is also National Infertility Awareness Week and AMQ chats about how duality is helping her navigate thoughts and feels in regards to her TTC journey. If you have never heard of duality or needed the reminder that thoughts, feelings and lived experiences CAN all coexist, we're confident this episode will resonate with you! And as always, let us know your thoughts and feels! Pretty please email us your peaks of the week, topic ideas or anything at all really @[email protected] or on the social media machine @igotyouboopod Kthanksloveyoubyeeeee
052: Go Unstuck Yo'self!
2022/04/21
Ever feel like you're a hamster on a wheel?! Or like you're walking through quick sand? Or like you're stuck in neutral. ‘Cuz same. And it sucks. So this week, we talk about how to identify when you're stuck in a rut and outline the actions you can take to get out of said rut. Shoutout to Tony Robbins for the list (that we reference in this episode) of 6 ways to figure out if you're stuck! We're here walking through these sucky seasons with you, Boo Crew! Let us know if there are any particular topics you want us to cover in future episodes by sliding into our DMs @igotyouboopod or sending us an email at [email protected]! https://www.tonyrobbins.com/mind-meaning/stuck-in-a-rut/amp/
051: Misogyny, Grief, & The Church with Kristina Jauregui
2022/04/14
How's that for a triple dip of what many would say are taboo topics?! This week, we chat with the realest bad b!tch there is… Kristina Jauregui! Kristina is the epitome of what it looks like to seize the power in vulnerability. The way she shares her journey of choosing herself through different avenues of life is truly inspirational. She also shares candidly about her mental health. And her close friends Instagram stories always have the steamiest tea! We dive into her relationship with the evangelist church and why she left, discuss how she's dealt with grief recently, and she teaches us about how to say fxck you to misogyny, the patriarchy and everything in between! This episode will leave you feeling like you just left a girls night while stepping into your inner bad b!tch! Find Kristina on socials @thefemaleevangelift
050: Give Up Or Give In: The Half Centennial Episode
2022/04/07
Well Boo Crew, we made it! … To the half centennial! You've officially allowed us to bless (and blast lol) your earholes for 50 (plus one if ya count the minisode) episodes! And we appreciate you so dang much for that! This conversation is, as always, what we think is the ideal amount of silly and serious. We discuss how to reeeally know when it's time to pump the brakes or gas it - in relationships, friendships, work, all the things. It's a tough thing to navigate figuring out whether to lean in or bow out, and we discuss our own lived experiences doing that (and not so much doing that), and even learn a thing or two about how we could potentially approach current and future situations. Keep an ear out for a special surprise guest! ;) lol! (No, this time it is not Bruno, Becca's dog) We hope you listen, laugh and learn a little with this (and every) episode!
