Speaking of divas, it's time I focused some attention on the fabulous Deborah Cox. Canadian born Deborah Cox signed to Arista records in 1994 and her first album launched her career with the second single "Who Do U Love". From there, she climbed the charts around the world with hits such as "Nobody's Supposed To Be Here", It's Over Now", Absolutely Not" and Mr Lonely" in the late 1990's and 2000's. In the 2010's she continued with hits such as "Let The World Be Ours Tonight", "Beautiful U R" and "If It Wasn't For Love". While it was the urban and R&B versions of her songs that hit the mainstream charts, it was the club mixes that launched her in the night club scene. Her songs were mixed by the heavy hitters of the time including Hex Hector, Junior Vasquez, Davis Morales, Wayne G and Tony Moran. This was the 90's and 00's where club mixes regularly clocked in over 10 minutes. This first edition of the sublime Ms Cox features songs from the start and middle of her career right up to her more recent releases. More to come from this amazing singer. The October edition of UP! is filled with chunky house and vocal house anthems. I'm on annual leave this month so I'm in a happy/camp mood :) The front end of the set is vocal house with tracks from Toya, Alex Newell and Clubland. Russ Rich & Andy Allder have a brand new original song out which Russ very kindly gave me an early copy of. "Disco Lights" is an absolute euphoric slice of dance floor heaven. Russ wrote the song himself and the production and vocals are extraordinary. Andy also features a mix later in the set for ELMNTS. Wayne G. features two exceptional mixes in the set. The first is Miley's "Bass Persuades" which he has previewed as a fund raiser only release for Dementia UK, a very worthy cause. The second is Rita Ora's "Ask & You Shall Receive". I first met Wayne about 500 years ago on one of his regular visits to Sydney and we've stayed in touch over the years. He is an extraordinarily generous man and just a wonderfully kind soul and I can't thank him enough for the private mixes he has given to me. Madonna's renaissance is in full swing and her collaboration with Kylie Minogue on "Love Sensation" is a great example of it. Producer eSQUIRE features two awesome remixes before the set heads into camp, main room territory with standout remixes from Dirty Disco, GSP and 7th Heaven. I'm releasing this month's edition of UP! on my younger brother's birthday so, Happy Birthday Nick. This month's edition of UP! has been one of the most difficult for me to put together. One of my dearest friends of over 30 years passed away this month and it has been difficult to reconcile the profound feelings of grief and loss that have swallowed me, his beautiful partner, his family and friends. David was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. I wasn't sure how I could translate that into a musical set that would do him justice. We had so many amazing nights out and in over the years. I have selected some songs that have uplifting, positive and powerful messages. These are some of my all time favourites mixed by some of my favourites in a T-Dance format. And to Derek, if you are reading this then you will know the significance of the closing song. This is the one that pulled David out of his mood on the dance floor at the Midnight Shift all those years ago. David, you will be missed but never forgotten. xxAnthony1/ "CARRY YOUR LIGHT" (Wayne G. Heading into July '26 is the latest edition of UP!. This set starts out with some fantastic house and pop tracks and progresses into some big room anthems. The set kicks off with Russ Rich and Andy Allder's brand new original track "Body And Soul". This is a beautiful house track with excellent vocals and production. The pair also lend their remix magic to "Raise it Up - Together" by Stephen Jusko & DJ Blacklow ft. Debbie Holiday. Andy appears again on his remix of "Eternal Flame" with Matt Consola. Division 4 turns in two stellar remixes for Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo respectively and of course Dirty Disco delivers thumping remixes for Lady Gaga & Doechii and Peyton respectively. It's time for the men to shine. It is Pride month after all and the ladies have already featured on Pride Anthems. The Pride Men editions tend to lean towards gay or non binary artists but I've thrown a few straighties into the mix, basically because the songs are great and the remixes enhance them even further. Speaking of remixers', Dirty Disco, 7th Heaven, Division 4, Robbie Carrigan and Toy Armada & Jace M feature heavily here with excellent remixes of classic and current songs. Featured artists include Prince, Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Cheyenne Jackson, Jason Derulo and Elton John to name a few. This set starts out in the House arena and builds its way into the Big Room arena. As I always say, be happy, be safe and play nice with the other kids. Happy Pride. The always amazing Division 4 features  three of his mixes here for Olivia Dean, Harry Styles and Madonna respectively. Dirty Disco puts his spin on Bebe Rexha's massive hit "New Religion" as well as an exclusive remix of Kylie's "Night Owl" which is another instant classic. We are only one month away from Pride in June which of course means Pride Anthems will be back. Until then, get carried away with this vocal smorgasbord. I have had great difficulty in publishing this episode due to some technical issues. I have had to cut the bio that Russ sent me completely out of the description as apparently there are too many characters - even after extensive editing. I will say this however, I love Russ and Andy's remixes and they have always been very generous in sharing them with me. They have been collaborating since around 2016 but Russ also has a history of work with Philip Grasso & Leo Frappier, and Andy with Wayne G. They have remixed for Dua Lipa, Kelly Clarkson, Billie Eilish and specifically for Taylor Swift as well as several collaborations with vocalist Debby Holiday. They are now moving into producing their own original songs. Their remixes are uplifting vocal club anthems and I have tried to include as many of them as I could in this Best Of edition. So if you are like me and love some dance floor euphoria in your music, take a journey through the incredible work of Russ Rich and Andy Allder. It's hard to believe the year is sliding by so fast, but here we are in April which means more great, new music. This month's edition of UP! leans heavily into the club/circuit sound. The set kicks off with Australia's Delta Goodrem and her song "Eclipse" which she will be representing Australia with at this years Eurovision Song Competition. I think she will definitely place in the top 5 with this song. Dario Xavier delivers a stellar remix here as well as one for Taylor Swift and Loreen respectively. Bebe Rexha's smash new track "New Religion" is given a punchy remix by Apollo. Toy Armada and Jace M also feature three remixes here. They have done a fresh take on Avicii's "I Could Be The One" and a Latin infused, tribal mix of "DTMF" by Bad Bunny. Raye is deservedly getting more air play and Sagi Kariv remixes her song "Black Mascara". Luis Vazquez puts his spin on Sia's "Alive" as well as "Woman" by Doja Cat. Henriq Moraes does the honors on "Wake Up" by Agnes as well as Jennifer Lopez's collaboration with David Guetta. Closing out the set is the awesome Stephen Jusko mix of Russ Rich and Debby Holiday's cover of "I Can't Stand The Rain". The April edition of UP! should club you in the best way possible. Sydney Mardi Gras 2026 falls on the first weekend of March this year so I had to get the Mardi Gras Anthems edition out ahead of time. The festival takes place over the last two weeks of February and the parade and party are the culmination of the festival. This year's edition lands firmly in the 'camp' musical arena with a veritable smorgasbord of divas contributing to the mix and a who's who of remixers lending their talents to the updated versions of these classic songs. Melbourne based DJ and producer Argonaut kicks the set off with his outstanding remix of Kylie's "What Do I Have To Do". Robert from Division 4 contributes four killer remixes here for Irene Cara, Demi Lovato, Destiny's Child and Agnes respectively. Russ Rich and Andy Allder's remix of Billie Eilish's "Birds Of A Feather" is one of my favourites and had to be included here. Reaching back in time are remixes for songs from Taxas, Madonna, Yazoo, Deniece Williams and Britney Spears. Mark from Dirty Disco pretty much owns this edition with stellar remixes for Whitney Houston, Blaze ft. Barbara Tucker and Yazoo. His remix of Whitney Houston's "It's Not Right But It's Okay" is balls to the wall incredible and his own original song "Because I Knew You" closes out the set. Unfortunately, the main closing party for this years Mardi Gras has been canceled so alternate parties are filling the gap. This years edition of Mardi Gras Anthems should keep you moving and grooving until Pride rolls around in June. Happy Mardi Gras and stay safe. This month's edition of UP! has a front end full of funky, house pop tracks and transitions into a back end full of driving dance floor stompers. Kicking off the set is the awesome Nick Jay & Jean Luc remix of Katie Underwood's "Danger". The amazing Division 4 features three remixes here for Sabrina Carpenter, Sombr and SZA respectively. He has his own website (Division 4 Music : Div-4.com) where you can download quite a few of his mixes at really good prices. I highly recommend you check it out and also give him some support. Speaking of support, the incredibly generous Russ Rich and Andy Allder gave me an advance copy of their remix of Raye's "Where Is My Husband" and it is flat out amazing. The baseline, percussion and integration of the lyrics is masterful and I cannot thank them enough for this lovely sneak peak. Dario Xavier also features two mixes for Nick Jonas and also Taylor Swift. Sagi Kariv delivers a thumping mix of Charlie XCX's "Hello Goodbye" and the always on point Dirty Disco delivers a classic remix for Tata Vega and a punchy remix for Katseye. Closing out the set is the new track from Agnes given the big room treatment from Henriq Moraes. The Sydney Mardi Gras festival fires up in mid February and runs through to the first weekend of March which means Mardi Gras anthems will be out very soon. I would also like to dedicate this month's edition of UP! to my good friend Mark who just celebrated an 'event' birthday. Welcome to the New Year. We've all made it. I was working like a dog over the Xmas / NY period so it's taken me a bit of time to get to the January '26 edition of UP! This set has a mix of classic, older songs with fresh, new remixes as well as some current charting hit songs. Kicking of the set is the amazing smash hit song "Man I Need" by Olivia Dean given a killer remix by Apollo. I love this song and Apollo maintains the integrity of the song with his remix. Division 4 has covered one of my favourite hits from the 70's, "If I Can't Have You" and Stephen Jusko & DJ Blacklow deliver a sexy, house mix of Kylie's sultry classic "Slow". Twenty year old American singer Sombr also gets the Division 4 treatment on "Undressed". The middle of the set has great house tracks from Raye, Taylor Swift and Joel Corry ft. Jennifer Lopez. Dirty Disco features four stellar remixes in this set. Two classics come from Donna Summer and La Bouche respectively along with Katseye's "Gabriela". The closing song is an original song from Mark and his writing partner Ryan. This song was inspired by "Wicked" but is not from the films. It is beautifully written, sung and produced and I see it becoming a gay anthem on future dance floors. Again, an enormous thank you to Mark for giving me this song and asking me for my feedback on it. I think it's pretty obvious that I love it. It's also my brother's birthday today so Happy Birthday big bro. This is dedicated to you. Let's lookout for and support each other in the New Year. This is a compilation that I've been wanting to put together for a while now. Dirty Disco remixing Taylor Swift is a dance floor match made in heaven. I have been so fortunate that Mark has given me advance copies of some of his remixes, not just for Taylor but for artists across the board. He is a very generous man and I think he knows how much I appreciate it and love him for it. This set has been several years in the making and features songs from Taylor's discography ranging from "Love Story and "Fearless" right through to "The Fate Of Ophelia" from her current hit album "The Life Of A Showgirl". Mark's mixes always add so much drive and energy to her songs. He can take a ballad and turn it into a dance floor anthem and he always leaves me thinking 'how the hell did he do that'? A couple of my all time favourite TS songs are featured here "Blank Space", "Message In A Bottle" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together". I'm going to nudge Mark into remixing "Out Of The Woods" and I'll be even happier. This is my final podcast for 2025 and I'm happy to be using the awesome combination of Taylor Swift and Dirty Disco to farewell 2025. Happy New Year. Be safe. Here is the final edition of Essential Kelly Clarkson (at least until she releases some new music). This edition has more of a big room/circuit sound to it with some stand out remixes from Henriq Moraes, Bimbo Jones, Chris Ortega, 7th Heaven, Dirty Disco, Joe Gauthreaux and Toy Armada & Jace M to name a few. The Brian Cua mix Of "Broken & Beautiful opens the set in style and the Melodika mix of "I Dare You" absolutely soars. As I mentioned on the previous editions, Ms Kelly can sing the shit out of any song and that beautiful gift is on full display here.
