ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter joins Jen, Gabe and Chewy to assess the NFC, where he sees the 49ers, Seahawks and Rams among the teams capable of emerging from the conference. Schefter discusses the NFL’s flood of penalties and recent suspensions of officials before weighing in on a Bears-Packers matchup that has lost some of its preseason luster. He reacts to Green Bay’s unusual attempt to rebuild its offensive line on the fly with Kevin Zeitler, Laken Tomlinson and Mekhi Becton. Schefter also explains why Keisean Nixon could make sense as a trade candidate if the Packers continue losing and become sellers before the deadline. Plus, Schefter and Chewy swap stories about the Amalfi Coast.

ESPN Radio's Evan Cohen joined Wilde & Tausch and believes the Green Bay Packers are not in as bad of a spot as people think! The team performance might be questionable, but with a 2-2 record amidst all the circumstances... maybe not a bad spot after all? And if they can beat the Chicago Bears at home against a backup quarterback?

Brewers TV analyst Vinny Rottino explains why he’s comfortable with Dustin May starting Game 3 against the Padres despite May’s uneven tenure in Milwaukee. Rottino points to May’s success against San Diego and a deep, rested Brewers bullpen that gives Pat Murphy plenty of options if May struggles. He believes this Brewers roster has very few weaknesses and gives Milwaukee its best opportunity to go all the way since 1982. Rottino also dives into the pitch-tipping conversation surrounding Mason Miller and explains how teams use video, scouting and runners on base to identify and communicate pitching tendencies.

Brewers legend Nyjer Morgan, T-Plush himself, joins Kyle & Brust after being in the building for Milwaukee’s dramatic Game 2 win over San Diego. Morgan calls Jackson Chourio’s walk-off one of the most magical moments in Brewers history outside of his own iconic 2011 hit and explains just how impressive it was for the 22-year-old to battle against Mason Miller throwing 104 MPH. Morgan says Chourio is operating on a different level and compares seeing his talent at such a young age to watching Andrew McCutchen develop in Pittsburgh. T-Plush also weighs in on the conversation surrounding Miller potentially tipping his pitches, saying identifying tendencies has always been part of baseball and that players on the bench are constantly studying pitchers for anything they can find. Looking ahead to Game 3, Morgan believes Milwaukee should let Dustin May work an inning or two before unleashing its bullpen, which he thinks deserves far more respect after dominating the first two games of the series. What makes these Brewers different? Morgan says everybody genuinely believes in everybody else. There aren’t many traditional superstars, but the entire roster understands its role, produces timely hitting and has completely bought into Pat Murphy’s approach. T-Plush explains why the manager matters enormously in baseball and says Milwaukee’s organizational structure, from Murphy to Matt Arnold, has created the belief powering this postseason run. And T-Plush is officially climbing aboard the championship float. After throwing out the first pitch before Game 2, Morgan makes his prediction crystal clear: “We’re definitely going to be raising a trophy.”

Brewers broadcaster Jeff Levering joins Jen, Gabe and Chewy from San Diego after Milwaukee takes a 2-0 lead in the NLDS. Levering explains why this Brewers team feels inevitable and breaks down the sequence that led to Jackson Chourio's dramatic game-winning hit against Mason Miller. He weighs in on whether Miller was tipping pitches and why Chourio still deserves all the credit for executing against one of baseball's best closers. Levering also previews the Game 3 pitching plan with Dustin May and discusses the controversial AmFam Field roof play from Game 1. Plus, he explains why Pat Murphy's stoic approach has the Brewers focused on finishing the job.

Craig Karmazin joins Jen, Gabe and Chewy to look ahead to the Brewers’ playoff series against the Padres and explain what stands out about this year’s club. Craig discusses Jacob Misiorowski’s transformation into a frontline postseason weapon, Joey Ortiz’s improvement and the depth Milwaukee can deploy out of the bullpen. The conversation turns to the challenge of winning at Petco Park and why the Brewers can’t afford to look ahead to teams like the Dodgers. Craig also weighs in on the Packers’ matchup with rookie quarterback Jalen Daniels and Green Bay’s revamped offensive line. Plus, the crew looks ahead to a Bucks roster loaded with new faces and plenty of preseason intrigue.

Michelle Smallmon joins Kyle & Brust after what she calls an “absolute mental and emotional beatdown” following the Packers’ ugly loss to Atlanta. After choosing Green Bay in part because they were always competitive, Michelle admits she can’t even guarantee that anymore. The offensive line can’t protect Jordan Love, the running game has disappeared and questions continue to surround Matt LaFleur, but Michelle insists she’s not wavering on the Packers just yet. What can Green Bay actually fix? Michelle says the quickest change has nothing to do with scheme: effort, fight and intensity. The Packers looked lifeless against Atlanta, and she wants to see a team angry and embarrassed by what happened. Even if everything isn’t immediately fixed, Green Bay needs to become the type of opponent nobody enjoys playing instead of continuing to fold when adversity hits. Pasted text Plus, Michelle reacts to the Packers bringing in veteran offensive-line reinforcements and hopes players like Mekhi Becton can at least stabilize a devastated unit and give Love a fighting chance. But when Ben asks whether she’d actually put money on Green Bay making the playoffs, the optimism suddenly meets reality: Michelle says she doesn’t feel great about their chances, especially with Minnesota, Detroit and Chicago all giving Green Bay plenty of competition in the NFC North.

Matt Lepay joins Kyle & Brust after Wisconsin’s dramatic road win over Penn State, and even the longtime Voice of the Badgers admits he was shocked by Jacob Harris’ 70-yard touchdown. After watching the drive get derailed by penalties, Lepay expected another flag to wipe out the play before Harris broke free while running with only one shoe. The guys debate how much fans should enjoy the breakthrough victory while still demanding proof that Luke Fickell’s program has actually turned a corner. Lepay pumps the brakes on declaring “the Badgers are back.” Wisconsin overcame a 17-point deficit despite three interceptions, nine penalties and a minus-two turnover margin, but those same mistakes could easily cost them against Michigan State. Lepay says Wisconsin’s best football is legitimately good, but its worst football can get it beaten by almost anybody. The next step is putting together longer stretches of clean football instead of constantly needing dramatic comebacks. Plus, Lepay breaks down an offensive identity that is still developing around Colton Joseph, Darion Dupree and an evolving offensive line. He also explains why Fickell and his staff should now understand exactly how much rivalry games against Iowa and Minnesota matter to Wisconsin fans after several painful losses in recent seasons.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter joins Jen, Gabe and Chewy after Green Bay’s troubling loss to Atlanta. Schefter discusses the Packers’ flurry of offensive-line moves and says the team is clearly desperate for help, while explaining why the veteran additions could still provide an upgrade. He weighs whether Green Bay’s problems can be fixed, the impact of Josh Jacobs’ absence and the current perception of Matt LaFleur. Schefter also discusses Caleb Williams’ hamstring injury and the NFL disciplinary process surrounding the Josh Jacobs situation. Plus, he explains why Tampa Bay’s rookie quarterback could present another uncomfortable matchup for the Packers.
The Interviews

Mark Tauscher joins Kyle & Brust and explains what the Packers’ additions of Laken Tomlinson and Mekhi Becton really say about the state of the offensive line. Tausch describes the veterans as the type of players teams keep on their emergency lists and says Green Bay doesn’t make moves like this unless things have become “really, really dire.” He likes that Brian Gutekunst is attempting to address the problem, but says needing help at multiple positions makes this much different from plugging one temporary hole. Tausch also puts the Falcons performance into perspective. Jordan Love is taking far too many hits, the Packers have struggled to function consistently up front and Green Bay could easily be 0-3 based on how poorly the line has played. Tomlinson and Becton don’t guarantee a fix, but their experience gives the Packers alternatives while they figure out whether their younger linemen can develop into reliable options. Plus, Tausch turns to the Badgers after their comeback win at Penn State. He calls Saturday against Michigan State a “validation” game for Luke Fickell’s program: Wisconsin finally generated some real momentum, but now it has to prove the upset was a turning point by taking care of business as a double-digit favorite at home.
