Which Spiritual Tool Should You Use? Tarot, Spirit Boxes, Signs, and Discernment
2026/09/17
Which spiritual tool should you use? The one you are curious enough to actually try, because the tool may be showing you less about itself and more about how you receive.
People ask me which spiritual tool works best. Tarot? Dowsing rods? A spirit box? An app? My honest answer is usually much simpler: what are you curious about?
In this episode, I’m talking about what spiritual tools actually do, why the same tool can work beautifully for one person and feel like complete noise to someone else, and how tools can help you recognize the way you already receive information.
We get into tarot and mediumship, messages through music, spirit boxes, the Brownie and Estes methods, book divination, signs, discernment, and why I do not believe every word or movement has to mean something. I also talk about the difference between being allowed to explore and treating every spiritual or cultural tradition as ours to pick up without context.
If you have been so worried about doing it “right” that you have been afraid to try, this is your permission to get curious, learn where the practice came from, and pay attention to what you notice.

Psychic vs. Medium vs. Channel: What Does Connection Actually Feel Like?
2026/09/08
What’s the difference between being psychic, practicing mediumship, and channeling. And more importantly, what do those different kinds of connection actually feel like when you’re the one experiencing them?
This episode started with one question during our Psychic Medium Practice Circle: “Are we channeling?”
My answer was basically… yes. Well, no. Not exactly. 😂
So I went down the rabbit hole.
In this episode of Open Channel, we’re talking about the difference between receiving psychic information, connecting mediumistically, and allowing information to flow through you through channeling.
I’m sharing how each one tends to feel for me, how these different forms of connection can overlap, why validation and discernment matter, and why being “wrong” sometimes is actually part of learning your own intuitive language.
We also get into the way channeling has shown up in my own work. From automatic writing and painting to readings, energy work, rituals, recipes, herbal remedies, teaching, and even this podcast. And why I don’t believe channeling has to look like someone going into a deep trance and letting a named spirit take over.
And importantly: boundaries.
Opening a connection is only half of the practice. You also get to decide when you’re available, what you’re available for, and when the connection is finished.
This Thursday, we’re taking this conversation out of theory and actually experimenting with it during our Psychic Medium Practice Circle. We’ll intentionally practice psychic connection, mediumship, and channeling so you can begin noticing how each feels for YOU.

You Don’t Need Another Sign: Grounding, Tarot & Self-Trust
2026/08/29
How many signs do you need before you allow yourself to trust what you already know?
After an intense eclipse season filled with conflict, discomfort, and big steps forward, it can be tempting to immediately search for the next answer, message, or thing you need to fix. But sometimes, what you actually need is to come back into yourself.
In this episode, we’re talking about what grounding really means—not pretending everything is fine, but staying connected to yourself while life feels uncertain. I share how tarot helped me move beyond my own biases, reflect honestly, and hear what I genuinely needed without giving my power away.
We’ll also explore the difference between reflection and rumination, why spiritual guidance should deepen your self-trust rather than replace it, and how to take the next honest step without having the entire path figured out.
Maybe this season wasn’t asking you to become someone completely new. Maybe it was asking you to come more fully into who you already are.
Energetic Hygiene: Sensitivity Is Awareness, Not Absorption
2026/08/18
Being sensitive doesn’t mean you’re meant to absorb everything you feel.
In this episode of Open Channel, Kate breaks down energetic hygiene as a practical, everyday relationship with yourself. Not something you only reach for when you feel overwhelmed or spiritually “under attack.”
We talk about recognizing your energetic baseline, separating sensitivity from responsibility, checking your physical and nervous-system needs before assuming something isn’t yours, and creating small resets that fit into real life.
Kate also shares simple practices for returning to your own energy and closes the episode with a guided energetic reset.
Sensitivity is awareness. It is not absorption.
Shadow Work Explained | What Happens When We Hide From Ourselves
2026/07/21
This week on Open Channel, we’re talking about shadow work.
Not the scary version. Not the version that tells you to dig through every painful memory you’ve ever had.
The real version.
The one that asks us to slow down and become curious.
Why did I react that way?
Why do I keep believing that about myself?
Where did that story come from?
I share why I actually think retrogrades can be such powerful opportunities for reflection, how shadow work has shown up in my own life, and why learning to understand ourselves gives us the freedom to choose who we want to be instead of living from old patterns.
Because I don’t believe shadow work is about fixing yourself.
I think it’s about remembering that nothing was ever “wrong” with you to begin with.
I hope this conversation helps you meet yourself with a little more compassion this week.
Or even simpler (which honestly feels even more like you):
Today we’re talking about shadow work.
I’ve been doing a lot of my own lately, and it felt like the right time to have this conversation.
To me, shadow work isn’t about criticizing yourself or digging up every painful thing that’s ever happened.
It’s about becoming curious.
It’s asking why certain things trigger us, why we react the way we do, and whether the stories we’ve been carrying are actually true.
In this episode, I share some of my own experiences—including one that completely changed the way I see myself—and why I believe our shadow isn’t something to fear. Sometimes it’s simply asking to be understood.
I hope this episode reminds you that healing isn’t about becoming someone else.
It’s about coming home to yourself.
The Strawberry Moon: Trust What Is Blooming
2026/06/28
For thousands of years, people have looked to the moon—not simply for mystery, but as a way of noticing the rhythms of life.
The Strawberry Moon wasn’t named because the moon turned pink. It was named because wild strawberries had finally ripened.
In this episode of Open Channel, we’re exploring what that simple piece of history can teach us about intuition, healing, patience, and the quiet ways transformation unfolds.
We’ll talk about why growth is often invisible before it becomes undeniable, why we spend so much time searching for signs while missing what’s already blooming, and why your roots deserve just as much celebration as your flowers.
If you’ve been questioning your progress, feeling discouraged, or wondering if all your work is worth it…
This episode is your reminder not to dig up your roots just because today doesn’t look like harvest.
✨ Growth underground is still growth.
I hope this conversation reminds you to slow down, notice the evidence that’s already around you, and trust the season you’re in.
Stop Waiting for a Sign: Spirit Guides, Loved Ones & Trusting Your Intuition
2026/06/13
How do you know if you’re connecting with a spirit guide or a loved one?
And what if signs aren’t something you wait for—but something you actively participate in?
In this episode of Open Channel, we’re talking about the difference between spirit guides, loved ones, and angels, how signs and symbols actually work, and why self-doubt may be blocking the very messages you’re asking to receive.
I share a personal story about asking my grandmother for a specific sign, why creating your own symbolic language matters, and how to begin building a stronger relationship with spirit through intention, curiosity, and trust.
We’ll also end today’s episode with a guided visualization to help you connect with a loved one or spirit guide and establish a sign of your own.
Remember: intuition isn’t something happening to you. It’s a relationship you’re learning how to have.

Bridging the Gap Between 3D & 5D: What Alignment Actually Means
2026/06/01
What does it really mean to live in alignment?
In spiritual spaces, we often hear people talk about 3D, 5D, ascension, higher consciousness, and “raising your vibration.” But what if alignment isn’t about escaping your humanity at all?
In this episode, I’m sharing my perspective on the difference between 3D and 5D consciousness, why both are important, and how true alignment is found in the bridge between spirit and everyday life.
We talk about:✨ What 3D and 5D actually mean✨ The trap of spiritual bypassing✨ Why intuition still requires action✨ Money, manifestation, and practical spirituality✨ Trusting your guidance while living a very human life✨ What alignment really feels like
The goal isn’t to escape being human.
The goal is to fully participate in your life while remembering who you are.
One foot on earth. One hand reaching toward spirit.

Why Empaths Burn Out: Holding Space vs Carrying Energy
2026/05/23
In this episode of Open Channel, I’m talking about something that completely changed the way I approach spiritual work, healing, relationships, and even motherhood:
the difference between holding space and carrying someone else’s energy.
For a long time, I thought being a good psychic, healer, mentor, or even just a “good person” meant taking everything on emotionally. I absorbed people’s grief, fear, trauma, overwhelm, and pain because I genuinely cared. But eventually my body started telling me something had to change.
In this episode, I talk about:
• empathy vs over-identification
• why so many intuitives and caregivers burn out
• how overfunctioning can actually disempower others
• the importance of energetic boundaries
• what true healing actually looks like
• practical ways to disconnect and regulate after heavy conversations or spiritual work
• why compassion does not require self-abandonment
This conversation is for empaths, healers, parents, helpers, spiritual practitioners, and anyone who feels responsible for everyone around them.
You do not have to carry the weight of the world to be loving.
You do not have to disappear to help others heal.

Knowing Isn’t the Problem — Moving Is
2026/05/12
Most people aren’t struggling to receive intuition — they’re struggling to move with it.
In this episode, Kate talks about the gap between knowing and doing, and why fear, nervous system dysregulation, perfectionism, and self-doubt can keep us stuck even when we know exactly what we want.
This conversation explores:

Sometimes it simply gives you the next step.

Your Intuition Lives in Your Body (Not Your Thoughts)
2026/04/15
If your intuition feels confusing or hard to trust, this episode is for you.
Your intuition doesn’t live in your thoughts—it moves through your body. And when you’re disconnected, overwhelmed, or constantly analyzing, it can feel like your intuition isn’t working.
In this episode, we talk about:
Why your intuition feels unclear
How your body actually receives intuitive information
The difference between intuition and urgency
Why overthinking blocks your ability to trust yourself
Simple ways to reconnect and start listening
This is the piece most people are missing when it comes to trusting their intuition.
You’re not disconnected. You’re just not listening in the right place.

You Don’t Have an Intuition Problem — You Have a Self-Trust Problem
2026/04/08
If you feel like your intuition is confusing, inconsistent, or just not as clear as it “should” be… this episode is for you.
Because most of the time, it’s not actually an intuition problem.
It’s a self-trust problem.
In this episode, I’m breaking down why we second guess ourselves, how we override our own inner knowing, and what’s really happening when your intuition starts to feel “off.”
I also share real-life examples of how this shows up (not just in spiritual work, but in everyday moments), and give you grounded tools to start rebuilding trust with yourself in a way that actually works.
We talk about:
How we gaslight ourselves out of our own intuition
Why comparison quietly destroys your trust
What happens when you override your internal signals
The “kink in the hose” effect (and how to clear it)
Why grounding and nervous system regulation matter
How to start trusting yourself—even if you might be wrong
The role of mentors and aligned community in building confidence
Your intuition isn’t gone.
It’s just being disrupted.
The work is learning how to come back to yourself.
If this resonates, we go deeper into this work inside my Patreon, where you can practice, build confidence, and strengthen your connection in a supported space.

Why Your Intuition Feels Confusing (And What To Do Instead)
2026/03/25
Most people aren’t struggling to receive intuition.
They’re struggling to hold it without reacting.
In this episode, I break down why your intuition can feel confusing, overwhelming, or inconsistent—and what’s actually happening underneath that.
We talk about:
the difference between urgency and clarity
how nervous system activation distorts intuitive messages
why you keep second guessing yourself
and how to start responding instead of reacting
Plus, I walk you through practical tools you can use in real time to slow things down, get grounded, and actually trust what you’re receiving.
If your intuition has been feeling loud, messy, or hard to trust—this episode will help you understand why.

Your Intuition Isn’t Off — Your Nervous System Is
2026/03/19
If your intuition has been feeling off, blocked, or harder to hear lately… this episode is for you.
Because most of the time, your intuition isn’t gone.
It’s just being overridden.
In this episode, I break down what’s actually happening when your intuition feels “off” — and how your nervous system, fear, and lack of trust can distort what you’re receiving.
I share real examples from my work (including paranormal investigations and Reiki sessions) to show you how regulation changes everything when it comes to clarity.
We talk about:
– why anxiety can feel like intuition
– how your body communicates before your mind understands
– what happens when you don’t trust what you’re receiving
– and how to start coming back into your body so things feel clear again
This is foundational work — not just for intuition, but for how you move through your life, your energy, and your decisions.
If you’ve been second guessing yourself… this will help you understand why.
