Description

What I Have, I Give is a faith-based podcast where lived experience meets the power of the Gospel. Inspired by Acts 3:6, each episode offers honest conversation, testimony, and encouragement — freely given. This space is rooted in humility, obedience, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Through Scripture, story, and community, #WIHIG creates space for God to move, heal, and remind us that whatever we have is enough. My hope is that you will be inspired to give whatever you have so others may encounter God. Scripture-anchored. Spirit-led. Freely given. Thank you for being here 🤍

unnamed: the man who missed his moment
2026/07/06
"Lord, I pray that I do not go unnamed in Your story." That simple prayer became the burden behind this episode. When we think about God's purpose, we often assume the greatest danger is failing altogether. But what if the greater tragedy is missing the very opportunities God places before us? What if His plans move forward—as they always will—but someone else steps into the assignment we were invited to embrace? In this episode, we begin with one of Scripture's most overlooked figures: the unnamed kinsman-redeemer in the book of Ruth. He had the first opportunity to become part of the lineage of Jesus Christ. Yet because he chose self-preservation over sacrifice, his name disappears from the story while Boaz's is remembered for generations. This isn't a message about earning God's love or striving for significance. It's a call to spiritual discernment. As believers, we are invited to participate in the work God is doing on the earth. That means cultivating wisdom, knowledge, and understanding so we recognize His invitations when they come. It means surrendering selfish ambition, comfort, and fear so we don't mistake divine opportunities for inconvenient interruptions. God's purposes will always prevail. The question is whether we will recognize our moment when it comes. May we become the kind of people who are ready to say, "YES" when we're called. the Hebrew word that reframed my waiting season
2026/06/24
Waiting can feel like one of the hardest parts of the faith journey. Whether you're waiting for an answered prayer, a new opportunity, healing, direction, or simply a sense of movement, the space between where you are and where you hope to be can often feel frustrating and uncertain. But what if waiting was never meant to be passive? In this episode, we explore the rich biblical meaning behind the Hebrew word, qavah, often translated as "wait" in Scripture. Far more than simply enduring the passage of time, qavah carries the idea of being intertwined, bound together, and connected. It paints a picture of drawing close to God in such a way that His strength becomes your strength. Together, we'll unpack how this deeper understanding transforms seasons of waiting from periods of stagnation into opportunities for spiritual growth and renewed faith. Through personal reflections and biblical encouragement from Isaiah 40:31, you'll discover how God often works most profoundly in the moments when nothing seems to be happening. You'll also hear practical ways to stay connected to God during your waiting season. These simple practices shared can help shift your focus from what you're waiting for to the One you're waiting with. If you've been feeling discouraged, restless, or weary in a season of waiting, this episode offers a fresh perspective and a gentle reminder that God is present in the process. As you learn to qavah—you may find that the waiting itself becomes a place of renewal, strength, and deeper trust. Shalom. running & life lessons from a former olympic-trained athlete
2026/05/19
This episode is a little different from the usual as I share a side of my story that not many people know — I was once an Olympic-trained track athlete. In this episode, I talk about my background in sprinting, training with Olympic athletes, and what eventually shifted me away from the sport. I also share what it was like years later transitioning from sprinting into long-distance running and the major differences between the two when it comes to training, discipline, mindset, breath, and endurance. I also reflect on a recent 5K run I did after a long break from running. No music, no phone, no distractions — just me, thoughts (that I share), and the mental challenge of pushing through. Whether you’re a runner or not, I hope this episode encourages you to revisit something you once loved, challenge yourself in a new way, and remember that life is much more like a long-distance run than a sprint.
unscripted: a road trip, healing & things we needed to hear
2026/05/11
This week's episode was unplanned and unexpected. It was just me and my friend Kat in the car having a real conversation and at some point we decided to hit record. It started with a book the Holy Spirit prompted me to pull off my shelf during prayer — Well Done! Good and Faithful Servant — and turned into a conversation that kept going. Here's what we got into: Spiritually unemployed. What it actually means to be active in your faith — not just attending, but showing up and doing the work. Serving with the wrong heart. The difference between planting seeds and needing to see the harvest and what it reveals about your motives. The patterns we carry. Generational cycles, survival mode, and the stuff that only surfaces when something shakes you — like a relationship. Letting God do the deep work. Why deliverance matters and what it actually costs to let God in to do 'surgery'. And somewhere between the miles and the honesty, we landed on this: healing often requires hurting first. Nobody wants to hear that. But here we are. the keys to the desires of your heart
2026/05/03
Have you ever wondered if God really give us the desires of our hearts? This episode dives into this question and what it means to align our desires with His will. We uncover the deeper meanings behind some well-known Bible verses like Psalm 37:4 and discover how our relationship with God plays a crucial role in our personal desires and spiritual alignment . We explore how delighting AND abiding in Christ makes us more in tune with God' desires and His promises. Topics Covered: What it really means to Abide in ChristRethinking the meaning of delighting yourself in the LordWhy having an intimate relationship with Christ is essential to having your desires fulfilled Resources & Links: Psalm 37:4John 15:7John 15:4
kat: this wasn’t supposed to be a Jesus story: drugs, tattoos & an unexpected encounter
2026/04/27
This episode, I sat down with my friend, Kat, and what she shared wasn’t just her story—it was a reminder of how personal God is. How He meets us in the most unexpected places, and how a single encounter with Him can completely shift the direction of your life. Kat shares her journey growing up in Saskatchewan, navigating things like dyslexia, ADHD, and feeling different... and how those early experiences shaped her identity more than she realized at the time. But her story doesn’t stop there: an unconventional encounter with God in Mexico that was so real, so undeniable, it marked her life forever. And from there, her whole life began to reorient. We hope this episode gives you the freedom to: live your faith authentically meet people where they are without judgmentnavigate being rooted in Christ in spaces that don’t always reflect Himand truly understand that your everyday life can be ministryMore than anything, this episode is a reminder that you don’t have to have a perfect story for God to use. He meets you where you are.
selective unbelief
2026/04/07
This episode delves into the concept of what I call, "selective unbelief", exploring how faith can fluctuate in our lives and why we often struggle to believe in areas where we haven't yet seen God' promises fulfilled. Through biblical examples and personal reflections, it offers practical insights for strengthening your faith walk. Key topics include understanding selective faith, the importance of complete faith, and practical steps to cultivate unshakeable belief through scripture and personal reflection. the privilege of prayer
2026/03/03
In In this episode, I reflect on the story behind the hymn, What a Friend We Have in Jesus, and why its message still resonates so deeply today. We talk about grief, prayer, loneliness, and the comfort that comes from bringing our burdens honestly before God instead of carrying them alone. I share the story of Joseph Scriven, the man who wrote the hymn, and how personal loss and heartbreak shaped the words so many of us know today. We also look at Jesus’ own example of withdrawing to pray and what that teaches us about slowing down, seeking God intentionally, and finding strength in His presence. Throughout this episode, I reflect on the privilege of prayer, the distractions that often keep us from intimacy with God, and why so many of us try to fill spiritual emptiness with things that were never meant to satisfy us. Whether your prayer life feels strong right now or almost nonexistent, I hope this conversation encourages you to come to God honestly, trust that He is listening, and remember that you were never meant to carry your burdens alone. stripped: the mercy in loss
2026/02/04
This episode reflects on the story of Job and the difference between knowing about God and knowing Him personally. Job was upright, disciplined, and faithful, but his suffering revealed a deeper invitation. Beneath the loss was not punishment, but pursuit. God was drawing Job beyond religion and into relationship. We explore the uncomfortable truth that sometimes God allows stripping of comfort, security, identity, or dependence — not to harm us, but to protect us. In the book of Job, the world is described as deeply broken and hostile. So, what feels like loss may actually be mercy: God removing what would ultimately destroy us so that we learn to rest in Him alone. This episode is a conversation about surrender, dependence, and the kind of intimacy with God that can only be formed when everything else falls away. What remains when the world is taken from you? Sometimes, the answer is the relationship God wanted all along.
imperfect obedience
2026/02/04
"I am not a pastor, I am not a theologian... at this point, I’m just a woman that God wants to give through." In this debut episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on the messy, beautiful process of saying "yes" to a divine calling. For a long time, I felt a heavy pull toward this podcast—a pull I tried to run away from because I didn't feel qualified or "ready" to speak. Through dreams, prayers, and a few "Jonah moments," I realized that God wasn't looking for a title; He was looking for a vessel. Today, I'm sharing the heart behind the renewed name of this podcast ("What I Have, I Give") and why I’ve stopped waiting for perfection to start sharing. In this episode, we discuss: The Struggle: Why we often resist the very path God has laid out for us. The Book of Acts & Life Purpose: How studying the early church reveals that our primary purpose is simply to bring people to God using the gifts He has already given us. 'Silver and Gold': Peter’s encounter at the gate called, Beautiful, and what it means to offer what you do have rather than focusing on what you lack. An Open Door: Why your lived experiences—the things you have overcome—are the exact tools needed to reach the people you were appointed to serve. I don’t have silver or gold to give you, and I haven't read the Bible from cover to cover yet. But what I have, I give to you.
Where does your loyalty lay?
2022/01/07
The meaning of the word “double -mindedness” means to have varying or opposing views at different times. This is a Biblical term. Why is it relevant to loyalty? Because the Bible says that’s to be double-minded is to be divided between the things of God or the world. This episode discusses instances in which we find ourselves so easily torn between what we know and what we wish we didn’t.
Just Listen - God.
2021/09/14
On this episode, we are discussing how God feels when we only go to Him with our problems and not for His fellowship. I believe God wants to speak to us and converse with us every time we talk to Him. He wants a genuine relationship that’s not one-sided but sometimes we act as if our relationship with God is one-directional. Listen to this episode to hear how I compare conversations with a loved one that is going nowhere because they are not listening to the conversations we sometimes have with God. Dive in.
Are you discouraged?
2021/09/08
I realized that discouragement comes from a place of dwelling in the past or worrying about the future… I believe in every season of our lives, God wants us to know that we are exactly where HE wants us to be, but when we focus only the things we want and place we wished we were, we will hurt ourselves and become disappointed. In this episode, I speak about how discouragement has influenced my absence from this podcast and other areas in my life. Yet, by the grace of God and the encouragement I received from The Word, I am encouraged enough today to share this show and my experience with you to hopefully encourage you and make you understand that you are EXACTLY where God wants you to be. Love & Light.

The 'Wait'
2021/04/26
Do you trust God when His answer is, wait? Many of us are believing in God for something in our lives right now. It may be a marriage, a child, a new job, financial freedom, or physical healing, but it feels like God is radio silent. It feels like He’s not hearing us or He’s not listening, but that is not the God that I know. Sometimes when God says nothing at all, it’s because He wants us to WAIT. Sometimes the waiting season is protection and other times it’s just God perfecting everything before He gives it to us because remember that His ways are not our ways - they are far better! This episode talks about what to do and how to pray in your waiting season. It talks about God' promises over your life and provides you encouragement for The 'Wait.'
