Just kidding, he has always been a driven person whether it was Snowboarding with his friends and brothers or competing at a very high level in Sports, especially Baseball. Caleb seems to tackle life with an edge and discipline that is distinctly himself! It is hard not to have met someone in our community that does not know Caleb or knows someone who he is homies with. He is definitely one of one in our books, and we feel so stoked he sat down with us to have this all-time conversation! You would be hard pressed to find someone in the Snowboard World who does not know of Dash. A true legend in our community to the core, Dash has been shredding and inspiring since a young age. We get into everything from working at 7B Boardshop at a young age and what that relationship has meant to him throughout the years to his time spent in Lake Tahoe pursuing the dream of being a pro! We are going to keep the description short on this one so as to not give too much away! Dash is truly one of the coolest dudes we have had the privilege of chatting with on the podcast! Let's just say that Owen Hedgecock is a two-plank style god! The dude drips swag on skis and really in everyday life. Whatever Owen is doing from working as a lifty at Schweitzer to swerving in his sick Audi you will know when you meet the homie that he has that dawg in him! Owen grew up splitting his time between Sandpoint and the Lake Tahoe area. It is hard to believe that he has only been skiing regularly for a handful of years with how crazy his progression and bag of tricks have evolved. The dude works extremely hard year-round to live out his dream of becoming a pro skier in the future and with how things are going it is only a matter of time! If you ever get the chance to meet this legend you will understand just what a good dude he is! A man of the people! That's the phrase we would use to describe this week's guest on Let's Talk Snowboarding! Brad Compton grew up in Davenport, Washington and during these years he would make the trip to our all of our local mountains not yet knowing what a huge impact he would have on the Snowboarding Community of North Idaho and Eastern Washington. He made his way to Spokane, through Post Falls and now resides in Rathdrum. The man has been all over our region, whether it be as a lineman for Avista or working with the Ski Shack Team and traveling to many of the ski swaps across the Pacific Northwest. Brad Compton is a straight legend, and we get into everything from his recent backcountry Heli trip in Alaska to what he has built with the Ski Shack Team fundraising and providing gear and knowledge of Snowboarding to countless youth groups here in our community! Sitting down and chatting with Brad was an absolute honor! We appreciate each and every one of the listeners for tuning and hope you enjoy the episode!

Kya Alderman is a rising star in the Snowboarding world! She had humble beginnings, growing up near Naples, Idaho and now residing in Bonners Ferry. Kya is a humble, hardworking, dedicated snowboarder through and through. Her progression in the sport has been other worldly. Last season she took home the Doug E Fresh top spot in her age group and the top time in the competition! She continues to stand atop Bank Slalom podiums throughout the region. She is a top rider for the Snowboard Northwest Team at Schweitzer and a regular up on the mountain! You may see her blazing past you on a groomer or slashing some pow on a gnarly run. If you could define a Snowboarder's Snowboarder, Steffen Robles personifies exactly that! He has the style, swag, and fundamentals that make him an all-around weapon on the board. Steff grew up in San Diego, California until his early teen years. His family made the decision to move to Bonners Ferry as many of us do to this region we call home for a slower pace of life and family values. He played soccer at a high level in high school as he adjusted to a different lifestyle from the city to the country here in North Idaho. Steff found Snowboarding during high school as well and really dived into the sport and lifestyle as he progressed into post high school life. Steff is now a staple at Schweitzer, from working as a lift operator at the T Bar to sending every side hit and drop the mountain has to offer, Steff is such a sick Snowboarder. Not only is he a ripping boarder in the Winter, in the summer he works for the Panhandle Bike Ranch as a trail builder. At PBR he is building something special for the bike community here locally and we dive heavily into his passion and role in the Mountain Bike scene here in our region. We at LTS have wanted to chat with Steff on the podcast for years. To say we are stoked to have him on the podcast would be the understatement of the decade! Make sure you tune in for this one! Growing up on the west side of the Sierra near Fresno, California, Chad Riley first snowboarded at a little resort many of you may have never heard of China Peak. From there his passion for the sport grew and took him to Tahoe where he chased the dream of being a Pro. It would be his talent and passion for photography that would propel him to travel the world and be ingrained heavily in Snowboarding. Not only would he excel as a Snowboard photographer, he also would shoot incredible photos for many fashion designers all across the globe and be sought after by those companies to this day! Don't get it twisted though, his passion for Snowboarding has not wavered and he still has the itch to get behind the lens and capture a sick photo or film an epic clip, as well as lay down some epic turns for himself on a pow day. Whether it be from New York to San Francisco to Baldface Lodge, Chad Riley is global in Photography and in Snowboarding. We also discuss his time here locally in Couer D Alene and his most important job of all, being a Dad! To say we are stoked to have chad on the podcast would be a massive understatement! We have an all-new episode of Gear Talk this week and we are chatting about Snowboards! As we all know the technology of Snowboards has drastically advanced in the past five to ten years and especially since the start of boarding! Joining the episode from the Ski Shack in Hayden, Idaho we have Blake Lyden and Noah Lewis joining in for this Gear Chat. Blake and Noah have picked out their favorite boards coming out this season and discuss the tech, user friendliness, and price point of each board! We also chat about some of our favorite boards throughout history and fond memories through the years of Snowboards we all owned and share our opinions on what is coming next and what we are stoked on from the past and present! This is our second episode of Gear Talk on Let's Talk Snowboarding. We are so stoked to be chatting about bindings this week! As we all know the Step On and Fase bindings are the new products that many riders within our sport are interested and excited about, especially those beginners getting into the sport. We talk about the functionality and ease of use on these particular bindings while also discussing what we are stoked on with the traditional two strap bindings within the market. As always, Gear Talk is recorded at the Ski Shack in Hayden, Idaho and this week we have the main man, Rhen Lyden as well as Ski Shack OG Noah Lewis providing their expertise! You could say that Clint Tosland is a man of many talents. We prefer to call him an all-around weapon! Clint grew up in Olympia, WA and his family seemed to find themselves at Schweitzer Mountain at least once a year. Growing up and visiting this amazing mountain he decided after high school to start his college years at Gonzaga. The plan was simple, study during the week and shred Schweitzer on the weekends with the homies. He found that getting friends to make the drive was harder than expected. Clint decided to transfer to a different school where his peers shared his love of skiing and mountain biking. He ended up in Bellingham, WA at Western Washington University. He was so stoked to be with friends that he could ride Mount Baker within the Winter and tear up the legendary MTB trails in the summer! After College, Clint had a good job but decided that it just did not allow enough time for him to pursue his passions. He ended up starting a YouTube channel and an Outerwear brand (Tosland Techwear) while also making the leap and moving to the Sandpoint area so he could be back where his love for skiing began at Schweitzer! We are so stoked to get to chat with Clint and know the listeners will be stoked on this episode of LTS! The Doug E Fresh Bank Slalom celebrated its 10th anniversary this past March and we are honored to be joined by Brad Compton and Rhen Lyden for this episode.  Brad is the boss man of the Doug E Fresh and also handles all things for the Ski Shack Snowboard Team.  Rhen Lyden is the manager of the Ski Shack in Hayden, ID and has been a vital part of the bank slalom for many years!  The Doug E Fresh event is one you have to check out if you are a snowboarder.  Every year the vibes are all time and the message behind this great event is one you won't want to miss.  Enjoy this special edition of LTS and thank you as always for tuning in!

After a much needed break, Let's Talk Snowboarding is back with a fresh episode of Banter Sessions!  In this episode we join you from Schweitzer Mountain and are chatting with Max Meredith and Jack Hottinger as well as some special appearances from an assortment of the homies! Growing up in Virginia, Jack Hottinger did not know much about big mountain riding!  It is safe to say that has changed withing the last 5 years.  His first experience on the west coast was visiting his brothers in Salt Lake City and seeing the steep shadows of the Wasatch Range!  Jack is now a staple of the Schweitzer community.  He has immersed himself withing our community in North Idaho and has been a Snowboard Instructor at Schweitzer for the last three seasons.  To say his progression is unreal would be an understatement.  Jack has taken on a role with Snowboard Norwest as a coach and is mentoring the next generation of all time riders here in our area!  Huge thanks to Jack for joining the podcast and to the listeners for your support!
