Description
Curious Mind in Progress is a space where I share what’s on my mind, as I figure out life in my 20s - one question at a time. I’m currently 24, and like most people my age (or any age), have no idea what I'm doing. Through this podcast, I aim to reflect on things that matter to me and spark my curiosity, in order to make a little more sense of it all. Sometimes I bring on people that inspire me in one way or another, and maybe what they'll share will inspire you too. It’s not about having the right answers, but daring to ask them. cover credit: @cara.wanderer

Looks matter, but how much?
2026/08/03
"People can have the best outfits but zero personality and be an a*****e."
Welcome to this weeks episode, where I changed the intro music again because I keep hating it, and I’ve finally uploaded something I recorded late last year (I’m sorry). Procrastination has hit hard, and I keep cringing at myself. Nonetheless I wanted to share my take on societies focus on outer appearance, which has gotten more prevalent in the wake of Ozempic and the normalisation of cosmetic surgeries.
I focus on how clothing changes the way we’re perceived, the constant urge to self-optimise and changing beauty standards make it hard to love the appearance we've been given.
To put it in simple terms: the obsession with how we look has gotten to a point that I find extremely unhealthy, and everyone has started to look the same. You might feel it's necessary to look like that one clean girl on Instagram, who wakes up at five a.m. to got to a pilates class; who got fillers and botox way too early and wears matching workout sets only. But trust me, you don’t.

Living every day like it's your last?
2025/08/12
In this shorter episode, I dissect wether or not it's feasible to live every day like it's your last, what that even means and why one should do so in the first place.
Comment down below if you've ever asked yourself such questions and if you took away anything from this episode!

At what point can someone be considered a friend?
2025/07/08
In this episode, I embark on a journey to discover at what point I consider someone a friend, and why friendship breakups hurt so much (sometimes even more than when breaking up with boo). Why there are so little represented and why we haven't normalised them more - plus giving people more understanding and coping mechanisms. I also discuss why it's important to deal with loneliness, and not pick the people around you based on avoiding yourself.
With the help from some academic folks, I'll leave you with some tips on how to deal with a sudden end to a friendship, and how to assess the quality of a friendship and if it's serving you (and you the other person!)
In short: quality over quantity, reciprocity is key, love the one and only!

How can I become most free in the Act of Creation?
2025/06/10
Once upon a time, I was creating art without calling it that. I made up stories in my head and acted them out with my Barbies. I dreamt of faraway worlds and lived in them for a while.
Now, as a (semi) adult, my brain has decided to sprinkle in self-doubt, perfectionism, and a hearty dose of criticism — and call it a day.
In the first part of this five-part series — structured around the questions I ask myself (and attempt to answer) — I explore how we can become most free in the Act of Creation, why channeling your inner child isn’t quite enough, and how to feel less blocked, less critical, and maybe even a little okay with what you make.
With wisdom from some of the creatives in my life, plus guidance from Rick Rubin (aka The Creative Act: A Way of Being), I share what’s helped me feel less stuck, and like someone who actually make things.
Whether you’re a full-time artist, or just someone with feelings, dreams and a Pinterest board: this one’s for you.

Career, Capitalism and the Urge to be Productive
2024/06/01
Trying something different as my friend Camila and I record this episode in a professional studio! We discuss capitalism, a sense of self that is based on what we possess, career choices, spirituality, family, working in London, studying and how to navigate the intersection of all those subjects being in our 20s and living in Europe.

Dieting, and Other Ways to Waste your Time
2024/02/04
Starting 2024 off right, by talking all things concerning diet culture and myths around dieting!
This time I invited my friend Kerstin onto the show, who is a trained Dietitian and who will provide all kinds of interesting information. As we delve deep into unhealthy myths and standards that have been floating around for centuries, around how and what we consume, how we view ourselves and others, and what is considered a healthy and balanced diet, we discover ways to better one's own relationship with food and our own bodies, in order to spread awareness around all the misinformation that is on the internet!
Trigger Warning: We discuss body image-related issues, weight, food, and more. If you feel uncomfortable with such topics, this episode might not be for you! (Or maybe it can help you despite its triggers 3)

In this Episode, I discuss my journey with creative recovery and finding my way back to my creative self, which can feel like a long way when coming out of the shadows. Just Being
2023/01/13
In this episode, I share and reflect on how in the western world, productivity is often linked to one's self-worth and how that influences how we set goals and view structures in life. I also discuss a little bit why goals can also be a hindrance and first and foremost share why I stopped making episodes for such a long time.

Episode Ten: Discovering what „Home“ means to me
2021/08/01
In today's episode I am finding out for myself what the definition of the word "home" is, what it means to me what it is also linked to.
I have also asked for your opinions on Instagram and really like the results. If you liked what you just heard, make sure to follow me here and on Instagram @curiousmindinprogress for new content and insight into my curious mind in progress.
Episode Nine: Finding comfort and growth in being alone
2021/04/04
Today I speak about my experience with being alone and uncomfortable with it and therefore trying to avoid it at all cost; but also why it is super vital to spent time alone and learn from it.
I was extremely tired when I recorded this weeks episode so I apologize in advance for my tired, raspy voice and I hope you can still relate and learn something!

2021/03/20
Today I take you along on a reflective conversation between me and my Father where we open up about how we improved our father-daughter relationship, especially the communication and what our context was of the other person. Episode Seven: "Its really about getting up everyday and choosing who you want to be."
2021/03/12
In today's episode, my Dad and I speak about why it's so important to trust in yourself and love yourself and how to find your own vision career-wise (or support other people's visions).
I realized that I interrupt my Dad A LOT and I'm very sorry in advance and hope you can learn from his knowledge and enjoy nonetheless. I definitely learned that I have to work on not interrupting and getting my thoughts out as soon as possible, but rather respect what the other person is saying.
I've linked everything we spoke about here:
"Atomic Habits" by James Clear - https://jamesclear.com/atomic-habits
"The Golden Circle" by Simon Sinek - https://simonsinek.com/commit/the-golden-circle
Thank you so much for being on this Episode and sharing your experiences Dad!
