In a small apartment complex in Finland, one morning, a man was going down to the cellar of the building when he found the body of Susanne Lindholm, and no record of how she got there.

In Australia, 2014, William was dressed in a spider-man costume while playing hide-and-seek with his older sister. His foster mom went inside for five minutes to make tea, and when she returned, he had disappeared.

In Beijing, 2005, the high-class hostess of the most elite nightclub was found in her home, beaten and strangled to death. Whispers about the powerful politicians connected to Liang Hailing began making their way to the police, where it seems someone paid a lot of money to throw the investigation off course.

In Germany, 1922, there was a farm, with six people living on it. An elderly couple, their daughter, her two children, and the new family maid who was staying her first night. When the family didn’t show up for church, and one of the children didn’t show up for school, neighbours began to worry, and searched the home. All six household members were found bludgeoned to death.

In South Africa, January of 1995, bodies began dropping at a rapid rate. Women were being found in and around three different towns. When the crimes began escalating into a pattern, the media pressured the police into considering the homicides to be a single perpetrator, and the chase with the serial killer began.

In New Zealand, On January 24, 2010, Leo was in a fragile state of mind as he left his flat to go for a drive. When he didn’t return home the next day, his flatmates began to worry, and called his parents. They couldn’t get ahold of him either. This was the beginning of a seven-year-long mystery.

In Switzerland, January 28, 2011, Matthias Schepp picked up his twin daughters, Alessia and Livia. He was to return them to their mother, Irina, two days later, at 5:00pm. When Matthias didn’t show up for the drop off, Irina went to his house to look for them, only to find a handwritten will from Matthias, and no girls. In this special International Transgender Day of Visibility episode, we dive into the grossly unreported case of a woman. During 2003 in America, Nireah Johnson and her friend, Brandie Coleman, pulled into a gas station to talk to some male friends. Nireah and one of the men exchanged numbers, and they began talking. Nireah and Brandie go to meet up with these men about a month later, and that same night, their bodies are discovered on fire in the back of a car.

During the 1950s in the Netherlands, Sybille Niemans lived a double life. By day, she volunteered all of her time to charity and rented out properties to make some money, but by night, Blonde Dolly worked as a prostitute for high-class businessmen and politicians. When she’s found dead in her home in 1959, the rumours begin to circulate that one of her clients had killed her after she discovered some crucial information she wasn’t supposed to know.
