As we dive back here into our study through Proverbs I was not able to get through all my notes, but there was a lot to break down in a few verses. Hope you guys enjoy this, so glad to be back here with you guys :) [email protected] William MacDonald complete commentary: https://www.christianbook.com/believers-bible-commentary-second-edition/william-macdonald/9780718076856/pd/076856?utm_source=bing&kw=%2Fpd%2F&mt=b&dv=c&event=PPCSRC&p=1215904&cb_src=bing&cb_typ=search&cb_cmp=313107482&cb_adg=1241348712202415&cb_kyw=%2Fpd%2F&msclkid=f2de738a34811feb4e421a36449c4f0d&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=B_Search%3A%20NB%20Dynamic%20Search%20Ads&utm_term=%2Fpd%2F&utm_content=DSA%20detail%20pages Bible portal site: https://www.bibleportal.com/commentaries NET on hand Bible: https://www.christianbook.com/net-bible-full-notes-edition-hardcover/9781400337118/pd/337117?en=bing-pla&event=SHOP&kw=bibles-20-40%7C337117&p=1179517&p=1229900&dv=c&cb_src=google&cb_typ=shopping&cb_cmp=590402082&cb_adg=1227056276829938&cb_kyw=&msclkid=758e94ca6fb9175bd9b2fee148e01d59&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=B_Shopping%3A%20Bibles%2FStudy%20Bibles&utm_term=4580290581727620&utm_content=s-NET NET Bible online: https://netbible.org/reader# Abraham Cohen commentaries: https://bestcommentaries.com/author/abraham-cohen/ Derek Kidner commentaries: https://www.ivpress.com/kidner-classic-commentaries Derek Kidner’s other books: https://www.thriftbooks.com/a/derek-kidner/223245/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=high_vol_frontlist_standard_shopping_customer_acquisition_20982170636&utm_adgroup=&utm_term=&utm_content=816182889281&gad_source=2&gad_campaignid=20982170636&gclid=CjwKCAjw9szSBhBNEiwAC57Sq3Ts9e1M3jPyO3IK_EfDNCcBumXyZ7fCRW5hIoEnreXLhcR8Eell-BoCS-oQAvD_BwE Hebrew manuscript on Proverbs 10 provided by Blue Letter Bible: https://www.blueletterbible.org/esv/pro/10/1/s_638001 David Guziks commentary through Proverbs 10: https://www.blueletterbible.org/comm/guzik_david/study-guide/proverbs/proverbs-10.cfm?a=638012 NIV application commentary by Paul Koptak: https://www.amazon.com/Proverbs-Application-Commentary-Paul-Koptak/dp/0310218527

Well beloved, it’s all settled! In His perfect timing and wisdom, I got my car. But I’m too exhausted after traveling all day and getting everything finalized. So if God wills next week, we will dive right back into Proverbs :)

We are finally back y’all!! I felt led to look at James’ words in light of the unfortunate events that have happened to me in over a month, so I wanted to take a break off of Proverbs and look at James words in chapter 4, verses 13 through 17; for 3 reasons. Number 1, to give several testimonies through a long span of time to show great evidence in todays world for the sake of James’ words. Number 2, to clarify based off the way I have tried to discern and interpret James’ words the best way possible. And number 3, to clarify some questions some might have behind why I say this and the importance of it. If there are further confusions of questions, I completely understand and have no issue addressing these things, I want all my listeners to see my heart posture through this teaching as humble but strong but not arrogant all at the same time, I’m always trying to come off intentional but humble at the same time :) [email protected] David Guziks Bible commentary on James 4: https://www.blueletterbible.org/comm/guzik_david/study-guide/james/james-4.cfm?a=1150016 Original Greek manuscript through James 4 provided by Blue Letter Bible: (Remember you can watch a YouTube tutorial on how to navigate through it!); https://www.blueletterbible.org/esv/jas/4/1/t_conc_1150016 Bible portal site: https://www.bibleportal.com/commentaries Craig Keener Bible background commentary on the New Testament: https://www.christianbook.com/bible-background-commentary-testament-second-edition/craig-keener/9780830824786/pd/824786?en=bing-pla&event=SHOP&kw=academic-40-60%7C824786&p=1179517&p=1234080&dv=c&cb_src=google&cb_typ=shopping&cb_cmp=590197337&cb_adg=1232553569686167&cb_kyw=&snav=GMERCH&msclkid=7c1da4830e911b40fc53cd3f7fc792bd&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=B_Shopping%20Other%20-%20Top%20Products&utm_term=4580634181561190&utm_content=Other%20top%20products

Hey guys, unfortunately no sermon again this week, if the car market wasn't as crazy right now I would have found a car already by now. I think I may have found the car though, all the updates are here in the episode, I really so apologize for not being able to bring you a sermon unfortunately. [email protected]

Hey guys, no notes, just me in the mic; “Soaking in His presence” by Waldner Worship playing; giving you guys an update from last week. Thank you guys for being patient, doing everything I can to land this plane and get back to Proverbs, love you guys 💙 [email protected]

Please listen to the full so you can get all the deets, prayers appreciated; hope you guys are well, love you all so much!! [email protected]

As we start chapter 10, I share a bit of a long tangent with you guys the correct ‘gladness’ that Solomon and the Apostle Paul approves of “A wise son makes a father glad.” Then Solomon shows us the dangers of gaining riches through wickedness, and how it will not last, but hard work lasts. Got some great commentary for you guys as well, and a testimony about a conversation I had with some other believers this past weekend that bring similar thought to my conclusion I came to for verse 1. No episode this week, give you guys an update about what my life has been like the last couple weeks; don’t worry about me :) the Lord has continued to do a lot of heart work in me, and my schedule the last couple weeks has just been a little bit crazy. I got a face wax yesterday, and it got better later in the day but I didn't want to irritate it at all by taking more lol . Love you guys :)

As we close chapter 9 Solomon turns another rock looking at the cleverness of “woman folly” who teaches others but it not actually leading them to truth, so how do we try and learn the truth about different matters? I try my best to explain that to you guys. I go on another rant again of the cheap discipleship I hear believers say to Christian singles “Just be content” due to what we read here today. If you are a believer and you are being told that, please practice discernment on what you are being told, it’s aggravating to say the least when I hear that. In chapter 9 Solomon starts to turn the corner giving us wisdom, to listen to wisdom, leave the company of fools and the simple, and not correct scoffers. Wisdom is displayed in these 4 verses as not just simply copying others good knowledge, but doing so with discernment, and deeper intentionality. I also share some thoughts on the fear of The Lord and a incredible testimony of how this book really had a huge positive effect on me years ago. In verses 1-5 wisdom shows the "completeness " of her work through using symbolic language; "7 pillars" and great foods and wine at their best. Commentators like Abraham Cohen a jewish Rabbi and Micheal Edward Zerr, as well as others give us insight on how to understand these verses. As we finish a long study of Proverbs chapter 8, we start off in verse 22 trying to detangle the heretical arguments some have brought forward by saying according to the Septuagint with verse 22, Christ was a created being. I share some commentary by Derek Kidner and my own critical thoughts as to why this is not true. Some really incredible insight from the NET Bible as well near the end of todays study. In part 2 through Proverb 8, wisdom is continuing to make her case that no matter who you are, those of high social status or not, heeding her words are important, just like wise Elihu, oh young wise Elihu among a bunch of older men, said “Wisdom does not [always] come with age.” (Job 32:8-9 AMP) Verse 17 “I love those who love me” uh what? God I thought you loved everyone, lets break that verse down and love God with all our minds by being critical thinkers (Matthew 22:37) ** No episode next week guys, if God wills, sorry! No episode this week unfortunately this week; I do apologize. Have a VBS thing after church if God wills and need to get caught up on sleep. Next week if God wills we will resume part 2 of 3 through Proverbs 8! Love you guys so much!

Well I have decided to make some changes here on my pod, episodes will be a lot shorter, if God wills. I share my reasons as to why at the beginning of today's episode. Here in verses 1-9 Solomon calls out to 2 different types of people and has 2 different 'calls' to these people. He is continuing to urge us to grow in discernment, knowledge, and wisdom, on a case by case basis.
