I had a chance to sit down with my wife's Aunty Viv. She shares stories from growing up on the homestead North of modern day Fort St John. In 1967 when Vivian was just 16 she started as a Trail Cook on horse back hunts for legendary outfitter Lynn Ross. 

Hamiora Gibson is a native of Aotearoa (New Zealand). He is currently working with private land owners, resources development and others to implement ecosystem restoration programs that benefit native flora & fauna. New Zealand is also on a path of reconciliation from its colonial past, we discuss what this means on a landscape level and comparisons between there and Canada.  He was fortunate enough to grow up in the bush and is now sharing his knowledge by training locals on invasive species trapping and foraging/hunting techniques. I meet Sam Huston in passing while picking up supplies at the local feed store.  After a few passing conversations I knew he would be a great guest. From driving 300 head of wild horses in Montana to Trapping the Upper Halfway River throughout the 1960's. Mr. Huston, thank you for the visit.

I got to sit down with Ken Boone to discuss Trapping up the Muskwa River back in the 1980s. I've got to know Ken over the past few years at family functions. We had a great visit and discussed his trapping past.
