Munchausen is proving to be a very serious form of child abuse that is poorly understood and still quite controversial. Typically taken on by the mother, munchausen victims are typically under the age of 6, but can be anyone in their care including the elderly. This is such a rare disorder it is difficult to diagnose and determine treatment,. It is very clear that Munchausen is understudied. Episode III of Robert 'Bob' Berdella aka 'The Kansas City Butcher' and 'The Collector' was a notorious serial killer that hunted young male sex workers between 1984 - 1987. He kidnapped, tortured, raped, murdered, and dismembered 6 young men. All of whom he knew in some capacity. He opened his home to these young men when they were in need of food, or a place to stay then he set his deadly plan into motion. After his arrest and conviction, Robert only spent 4 years in prison before dying of a heart attack at 43, he had not begun to experience the pain and torture his victims had, hopefully he is rotting in hell. Edmund Emil Kemper III (December 18, 1948) is an American serial killer, rapist and necrophile who murdered six college students before murdering his mother and her best friend from September 1972 to April 1973 following his parole for murdering his paternal grandparents. He is noted for his height of 6 feet 9 inches, and for his high intellect, possessing an IQ of 145. Kemper was nicknamed the Co-ed Killer, as most of his victims were female college students hitchhiking in the Santa Cruz area. Most of his murders included necrophilia, oh and he ate some of their flesh!!
