The two discuss what the Lifestyle League represents with its cool and innovative ideas, such as co-ed match play, walk-up songs, and shot clocks. Lindsay details the key elements that are helping to create a fun and inclusive co-ed golf community. We also dive into performance, discussing healthy habits and how Manion’s mentor Jason Glass has influenced her coaching and training philosophies. In this episode Jaime & Casey are joined by Courtney Campbell-Leveck and Keri Moffat, two PGA of Canada golf instructors and coaches who are shaking the golfing world with their fresh and fun approach on the game, as well as Melanie Jue, a world champion ball hockey player, professional ice hockey player and relative new golfer! The trio discuss what it means to be a ‘golf sherpa,’ and what they are doing with their own coaching initiatives to keep the game fun. Sitting down with Casey & Jaime this week is one of the most versatile, well-rounded and experienced golf professionals in the country. Carla Munch-Miranda is the Head Golf Professional and co-owner of Cambridge Golf Club in Cambridge, Ontario. If that wasn’t enough to make your head hurt, she is also the head coach of the University of Waterloo Women’s Golf Team; the president of Golf Coaches Association of Canada; winner of the 2019 PGA of Ontario Coach of the Year and 2019 PGA of Canada Ben Kern Coach of the Year Award. She has been Head Coach of Team Canada’s squad at four FISU World University Games in South Africa, China, Spain and Switzerland, respectively. Carla shares her experiences and stories of how she has found balance and success while maintaining a full plate, both professionally and personally.
