What began fifteen years ago with a simple $43 monthly commitment to sponsor a child has blossomed into relationships that transcend borders, languages, and cultural differences. Chris Craighead Jr. is currently the College Pastor at North Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana. In today's episode we'll unveil a trauma that he experienced as a child and how that event has impacted his life into adulthood. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9  says, "We are afflicted in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed." I think these verses most accurately depict Chris's journey of faith as he processed the tragic loss of his sister, Caroline at just 9 years old. This is struck down, but not destroyed kind of story. One filled will loss and hurt, but also with hope and healing.
