  Philosophy (from Greek; philosophia, 'Love of wisdom') is the study of general and fundamental questions, such as those about reason, existence, knowledge, values, mind, and language. Such questions are often posed as problems to be studied or resolved. The term was probably coined by pythagoras.    It centers on logic and conceptual analysis. Topics at it's center include the theory of knowledge, ethics, the nature of language, and the nature of mind. Earlier traditions of philosophy placed more emphasis on the study of the arts and science of life; a general theory and a commendation of way of life.
