Nutritional Health for Transgender People with Dr. Whitney Linsenmeyer

In a continuation of a nutritional health theme, Dr. Whitney Linsenmeyer, a Registered Dietician and Assistant Professor at St. Louis University and Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, discusses the state of the literature on diet and nutrition for trans folks and some of their unique needs, shares experiences working with trans clients who come to her for nutritional counseling, and provides a sneak peek at some of her future research goals. As one of the only people in her nascent field, Dr. Linsenmeyer describes the state of research as a “wild west” with more questions than answers, but her research trajectory is definitely one to follow.
