During her 4 years of university in Newfoundland, she volunteered with several student groups and served as the Student representative for The Board of Regents, Rotaract president, and International Student Caucus. These roles allowed her to help create support services and networking resources for international students. She took all those skills and experiences to continue in a non-profit capacity and help newcomers navigate life in Canada. She believes that newcomers can sharpen their skills and experience valuable work experience through volunteering to help build their resumes. Divine first began in the field of science, but quickly realized the lack of financial literacy even within the 1st world countries. Divine explains that our culture must educate ourselves on financing and not trust our money in the hands of others. Divine came from poverty and never had a financial background. He explains that black people don't come from money so they don't know to handle money. He explains if you want to be financial literate, you must first find a mentor and seek the knowledge from them. Divine says one of the best form of insurance is cash based Insurance.
