KingdomTalk! with our guest Pete Mahoney - Part II
2025/11/20
Just last month on the show, my guest was Pete Mahoney. Pete and I picked up a conversation that we started back in January 2023 with regard to the prophetic movement around the world. Since that initial conversation, there’s been a lot of developments in the prophetic movement, not all of them, particularly positive.  In last month's episode, part one, we not only discussed these events, their repercussions, and the fallout in the church, but we also considered what God is doing in and through all of this.  In this episode, part two, our conversation turns towards seeing Jesus, lifted up and becoming centre again within the church. Pete speaks of this passionately as he sees it as key to the church moving forward. Support the show Thanks for listening! Be sure not to miss the next episode. KingdomTalk! with our guest Pete Mahoney - Part I
2025/10/14
Our guest today is Pete Mahoney. He was first on our show back in January 2023. Pete is an entrepreneur missionary, a Bible teacher, an author, a prophetic voice, as well as many other things. When Pete was first on the show, he and I took on a pretty big subject with regard to hearing the voice of God and the prophetic. We talked about the biblical basis for the prophetic in our individual lives, as well as in and through the church. We also talked about some of the abuses and excesses of the prophetic particularly in charismatic churches. It was too big of a subject for us to cover the first time around, so this episode we have really tried to once again get back into our conversation to cover more of this significant subject.  This episode is part one of a two part conversation. Here is a link to the 3-book series that Pete edited and co-authored on our freedom in Christ: Knowing Freedom, Living Freedom and Replicating Freedom. https://citycentral.org/product-category/manuals Support the show Thanks for listening! Coffee Shop Conversations with my guest Vaughn Tongs
2025/05/16
In the heart of a casual coffee shop meeting, I chatted with my guest, Vaughn Tongs, recently online.  During our unscripted conversation, we touched on several subjects, for example, the relationship between joy and endurance, perseverance and perspective, true rest vs. disengagement, sonship vs. partnership with God, as well as Christ as the head of the Church and God’s family.  Vaughn is a multifaceted individual, excelling as a businessman, entrepreneur, worship leader, songwriter, musician, and prophetic voice. He is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, among many other roles.  Support the show Thanks for listening! Be sure not to miss the next episode. Carriers of the Cry: A Conversation with Paul and Jan Smith
2025/02/04
Rediscover the transformative power of intercessory prayer with our special guests, Paul and Jan Smith from New Zealand. Reflecting on their teenage years, they share how the fervent prayers of elderly church members, especially Mr. Wheatley, left an indelible mark on their spiritual journey. Paul expresses his desire to revive the passionate 'cry' of intercession he witnessed in his youth, which has inspired his aspirations to pen a book about the power of prayer. We discuss how the dynamics within Christian communities have morphed over time and the need for a spiritual reset, especially in the wake of COVID-19. Join us as we explore the priceless legacy of intercessory prayer and the responsibility of passing this spiritual heritage to future generations. Paul and Jan delve into how the wisdom imparted by past generations has shaped their spiritual path and the distinction between carrying the burden of God's heart and movements of Holy Spirit renewal, such as healing and sending. This heartfelt conversation underscores the importance of documenting and sharing these treasured experiences for the benefit of those who will follow, ensuring the continuity of this spiritual inheritance. Kingdom Talk! with our guest Peter Muller
2023/10/24
My guest today is Peter Muller. Before entering the world of education, Peter was a professional athlete, retiring from the Toronto Argonauts after nine seasons of playing in the NFL. As a kingdom-minded Christian, he not only lived out his faith in the area of sports, but in the off-season served in several third world nations with World Vision. As a pioneer of ministry, Peter played a key role in founding Athletes In Action. Established in 1974, AIA's purpose was simple:  telling others about the hope they found in Christ. From that initiative began an athletic movement in Canada designed to impact the nation. After this, Peter gave himself to education, both at home and abroad - teacher, principal, counsellor, consultant. He continues his work at Master's Academy in Calgary heading up their R&D department. Peter and his wife, Janet, have four children and four grandchildren.
