Welcome to "Victorious Daily Devotion" in the most holy and honorable name of Jesus Christ! 🙋‍♀️💐💐💐 Topic: True Mourning Is True Repentance. It Brings God's Restoration Of Blessings And True Success. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Word of God says, "Weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice." Here on the sermon on the mount Jesus is primarily emphasising that mourning should be over our sins. A true change in heart over sin and to desire to overcome. If we take the mourning of King Saul, it was hypocritical mourning. He never expressed true regret over his sin. 1sam. 15:24. Saul Said "I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord." He expressed outward mourning but never made a serious attempt of inner and true repentance. God sees our heart. Samuel immediately says, "The kingdom is taken away from you." Though king Saul continued to be king for few years after the Samuel's words, he was restless, envious over David and was afraid of David and plotted several times to kill David and died eventually a pitiful death. We see David also sinned. He commited adultery and murder one after the other. His sins were uncovered by Prophet Nathan and confronted David, in 2 Sam. 12: 10 to 24, David we see truly mourned for His mistakes and sins, acknowledged the sin, and repented and God restored him the joy, God restored him back his joy, peace and reconciliation with Him. Thereafter God comforted him with peace, honored and blessed him even more. This is what Jesus meant, blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted. These words of Jesus can refer to sorrow and grief for set backs, failures and losses. But in the context of Jesus words it refers to mourning over our sins. True mourning is not changing Our external voice and pray; it's not shedding crocodile tears before others with empty words and jargon. But we need to have true confession which brings true mourning over our sins which in turn comforts us and restores joy and peace. True mourning for sin is to have hatred for sin and a zeal for purity. Towards love for God and hatred of sin like King David. True repentance brings true holiness, true holiness brings great power within us. Let us make a true repentant prayer of King David, in Ps. 51 and have the joy in fulness and His presence and His power within us. "Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away ftom thy presence. Take not thy holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation. And renew a right Spirit within me. Words cannot explain the pain of Grief. Loss of a job, sudden major accident, sudden death of loved one, shame, abandonment, broken relationship, hurt and injustice meted to you. These are always painful and brings in Grief. If you lose someone dear, there is certain a time of grieving which is certainly not wrong. Jesus Himself said in beatitudes Mt 5: 4, "Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted." If we know the person who passed away was a believer, it's a temporary loss, but we still grieve the separation ftom this earthly world. It has to be and it must not be suppressed and avoided. A good first step forward is Recognise God still cares for all of us. If you are overwhelmed by grief do remember, Jesus Christ is the "Sustaining Saviour." He will Sustain you with His grace and mercy. Pl read 2 Corinthians. 12: 8,9, 10. Jesus said to Pail, "My Grace is sufficient for thee." In distress He said he will be there. Death is an enemy. But, Jesus conquered by His death on the cross and His resurrection. Until Jesus returns, Death And Grief are realities, but for all of us In Him, the Christ we are nothing to be afraid of... Grief is a healing process. A time of sadness and reflection allows God to heal our hearts from the pain of loss. Staying in a season in grief for too long can be just as harmful as avoiding it. We are not designed to live in mourning forever living in low spirit and life of anguish. For a God's child, it's seasonal. We as Christians know that God is with us, and His wisdom and His grace and love will carry us through any situation in our lives. Heavenly Father! Thank you for your great love. Philippians 2:12-13 Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” It’s not enough if you want to change. It’s not even enough to say, “I have a dream of changing.” Dreams are worthless unless we wake up and actually act on them. We are not going to change the problems in our lives until we choose to change ourselves. How are you going to be different in six months? Are you going to be emotionally stronger? Are you going to be mentally sharper? Are you going to be physically healthier? Are you going to be more spiritually mature? Yes, we all desire so. To be mentally sharper, physically healthier and spiritually more mature. But, It isn’t going to happen automatically. It's not easy. We need to put a value or efforts to everything we desire. It need hard work and continual pursuation and not mere planing and planing. But, we are not just going to get healthier by accident in any category of our lives. Lot of times we think we are waiting on God to change us. We are not waiting on God. God is waiting on us. There is no growth in our life without we change. And there is no loss without pain. You’ve got to let go of some old stuff, and it’s not always going to be easy. Some of you are stuck right now because you have not yet learned how to let go. That’s a choice. Ephesians 4:22 says, “Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception." You might say that your defects are from your circumstances or your chromosomes. But it doesn’t really matter where they come from. You need to deal with them. Genetics explains our inclinations, but it doesn’t excuse our sin. Here’s the good news: Once you become a believer, you have a new power in you that is greater than those old tendencies. John 1:12. That power is the Holy Spirit. Let's read the verse again.. Philippians 2:12-13 says, “Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose”.. Does that mean you are supposed to be afraid of God? Of course not! It means be afraid that you will miss God’s best and waste your life. Be afraid that you will go your entire life and never know God’s purpose. Help us Lord not to be at one place but keep changing to move higher and deeper, healthier and stronger accomplishing to work out our dreams, needs and ambitions. Gen. 48:15 And Jacob blessed Joseph, and said: ‘God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me all my life long to this day… How did Abraham walk with God on a daily basis? God provided the daily bread that nourished and sustained him. How could Abraham leave the only life he knew at God’s command? He moved from a prosperous city to a tent in the desert. He followed a God that no one else believed in or recognized in His fly. How could he believe that he would be the father of many nations? He was an old man with a barren wife and no son. How could he gather up that miracle son a few years later to sacrifice him on Mt. Moriah? Abraham fed on the daily bread of God. As he walked towards the place of sacrifice, he trusted God Who had never led him astray, Who had always kept His promises. Even as he bound Isaac to the altar, Abraham believed that God would honor the covenant between them. Knife raised, God sent an angel to grasp his wrist and provided a sacrificial ram instead. On that same hilltop, God sent His Son, Jesus, as a sacrifice for us. The Bread of Heaven bought every promise found in the Word of God. Like Abraham, we can walk with Him, trust Him for our daily bread. Help us Lord to aspire and long for the living bread, Thy Word which sustains us, guides us, delights us, strengthens and protects us, comforts and corrects us not to go astray. In .... Welcome to "Victorious Daily Devotion" in the supernatural and loving name of Jesus Christ! 🙋‍♀️💐💐💐 Topic: Open Our Eyes Lord To See Wondrous Things Of Life In Store For Us! In pain, in suffering, in affliction, in answers for prayers get delayed, in sickness, we tend to see with our natural eye and panic often times. We tend to see natural things of the world. But don't have the eyes of Supernatural.... We often get scared by the natural circumstances and keep seeing through our natural eye and behave naturally forgetting we serve God who is supernatural. Let us read 2 kings 6th chapter 15th verse. We see, exactly what I shared. Ghaazi, the servant of Elisha, has risen early morning and went out. And he saw with his eyes host of enemy army compassed the city along with horses 🐎 and chariots. And said unto his master in fear and panic, "Alas master, what shall we do?" 17th verse Elisha said, "Lord, I pray thee, *open his eyes that he may see."* And the Lord opened the eyes of the servant and saw mountains were full of chariots of fire round about Elisha. It simply says, when we are obedient and walk in the fear of the Lord and in faith like Elisha, we too see supernatural power and His wondrous works around us, in us and through us. Oftentimes we are so blinded by our own pain and problems, that we don’t see God’s blessings and protection like the servant Gehazi and worse, we often miss out on opportunities God gives us. Many times we get frustrated and even angry when life doesn’t work out the way we want. But the Bible says in James 1:1-4, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” It’s easy to be so focused on our own problems, that we can’t see what God is trying to show us. Even the disciples struggled with this. When Jesus died on the cross - even though Jesus warned them his time on earth was short - when He died, they were completely devastated! They were blinded and saw with natural eye, to the truth Jesus wanted them to see. And when He was resurrected - they couldn’t see that either because they were blinded by their grief! We see two disciples walking with Jesus after His resurrection. Jesus talked to them. They saw Him but could not recognise Jesus... This is why it’s important to spend time with God each day lingering in His presence - because when we do, He allows us to see beyond our own trials and heartache, to the beautiful plan He has for our lives. Help us Lord not to live in natural but to behold wondrous things of life that you give us. Help us to honor you by obedience so that we too can see with our natural eyes opened to supernatural in order to reap blessings of hope, power and faith to behold and see wondrous things which are in store for us..... As a new creation in Christ, We become His Children and treasured Possession. We become kings and priests unto God and His Heavenly Father. Rev. 1:6. So, we don't need to beg but ask in faith in His name. Rom. 8: 17 : We Are heirs to to His inheritance. When we are washed and cleansed, we become the heirs of the Father, and joint heirs with the Son. As per 1 Peter 2:9. As His children we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and a holy nation. Mt: 5:13. We are the salt of the earth. Mt: 5: 16. We are the light of the world. Deut 28:13 We are made as head and not as a tail. Not in few things but Rom. 8:37 & 38 says, "In ALL things we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loves us. Neither death nor life nor any powers will be able to separate us from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. And lastly we need to know God gives us His power to become His Children when we receive Him. John 1:12. But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the children of God. The more we draw nigh to the Lord through Prayer and Word of God, we have the power In His name to reign over demonic powers, trample over them, to be as the head, to be Victorious over Goliaths that encounter us, the forces of fear and loneliness to conquer, as we are more than conquerors in Christ name. Help us Lord to dwell and delight to meditate thy Word and these promises to be Victorious, to be conquerors, to be as a head and not as a tail, and to know that we are a prized Possession of thy inheritance as your children washed in your blood, cleansed from our sins and repentance. .... There is a familiar song which is sung in several nations after we become a new creation in Christ. This song gives us great reminder as how to live as true Christians. Title of the song: Great change since I was born! Hands: Things I used to do, I do them no more. Tongue : Things I used to speak, I speak them no more. Means no more gossip, no more harsh words, no more grievous and harsh words, no more filthy and abusive words. But gracious, kind, sympathetic, gentle and loving words. Feet: Places I used to go, I go there no more. No more going to places which leads to wickedness and wicked acts. But our feet must always be swift to walk to share gospel of good news, to walk and go to good and edifying places. And people who have good morals and fear of God. *How you end depends on where you go, mean which places go.* Hands: Let me share briefly once again today, as a new creation what our hands need to do. Firstly our hands need to be used to lift our hands to God in praise. Lamen. 3:41. Secondly, 1 Tim. 2:8. I desire that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger and quarreling. We see often times on the roads people without hands seeking help. Many of them have lost their hands in accidents or due to certain diseases and few are born by birth deformed without hands. We have both healthy hands but still we are ungrateful and often use it for wrong things of life. Our hands need to be used for good cause, and several ways it can be helpful to us and others too. Hands are meant to use for various purposes. To build others by a pat on a child or someone's shoulder to appreciate or encourage. Holding a person's hand who lost loved one and is low in spirit and depressed, a warm welcome handshake.... We can use our hands to pray over sick, can dial a phone to encourage someone, send an encouraging email to those who are despondent and disillusioned in life. And most importants hands are meant to do holy work and *not* acts of unholiness, such as browsing unholy things and with worldly people and browsing cheap things of this world. Help us Lord to use our hands to praise you and not to share our hands in the sins of others, but to be useful to others in doing Noble and sweet blessed work. ..... Isaiah 55:11: So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Do not focus on any situation until you have focused your faith first on the risen God and His divine Word Which never fails. Circumstances can sink our best intentions. Despair can demolish our hope. Unbelief can ruin our future and joy.. So, its time to focus ourselves to exercise our faith and feast on God’s wonderful and amazing promises ftom the Word. Instead of thrashing about in a sea of fear and doubt, let's ground ourselves in His truth. Let us lift our eyes to discover where He is at work all around us. Every line and letter that He has spoken over in the Word was sealed with His shed blood. With complete certainty, we can declare: “The LORD is on my side” (Psalm 118:6). Ps 27:01..The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I be afraid? When the river rises, it will not sweep us away. When the fire rages, the flames will not scorch us. (Isaiah 43:2). When our world falls apart, and crumbles around us, and even if the mountains crumble into the sea, we have no need to fear when God is oour refuge (Psalm 46:1-3). He is always present in troubled times. Let's Focus first on God’s Word that never returns unfulfilled. His Truth always accomplishes the purposes for which He sends it and always completes the task to which He assigns it. Take Him at His Word. For every situation in our lives we take thy divine Word to shied ourselves, to protect ourselves and to rise from sin, despair and defeat..... Knowing; Being; Doing. Be it professional or Spiritual, a leader must have enough knowledge to lead someone. In a professional Organisation or a christian Organusation or in a church, a good leader is one who not only needs to have competence but also commitment and trustworthiness. Commitment without having competence, he or she is not going to be a successful leader. Commitment and competence are like the two wings of a bird. Both are equally important. Every leader also has to grow to lead effectively. Great leaders grow always and has no limit cap. Succesful leaders don't rest on their laurels, because it's not a title on a business card.. leadership is a living process. As leaders, our capacity to grow determines our capacity to lead. In leadership, many leaders try to command respect. It doesn't work. Respect as a leader has to be earned and not commanded. A good leader is very unselfish - the one who says, "We and not I, I, I will do, but we will do." - Is the one who listens completely without interrupting and then speaks. We see many leaders do not listen but give orders and command. Anytime you influence the thinking, beliefs or development of another person, you are engaging in leadership. As I said, "My capacity to learn as a leader determines my capacity to lead. If I stop learning, I stop leading effectively." Jesus is the absolute perfect Leader who Himself is the Way and the Door. John 14: 6 & 10 : 9.... Jesus Christ as a leader. He genuinely cared for His flock, Loved them, Protected them, Sacrificed for them, Encouraged them. Showed tons of patience even if the flock went astray. A Good christian leader sacrifices his ego. his position, and let's others rise which is rare in this selfish world. In fact they see how best to suppress a person who rises high and shows progress. It's more prevalent in the churches. That's one of the main reason there is NO revival in the churches. Thank you Lord Jesus for showing us exemplary qualities of leadership and your sacrificial love to the flock you love so dearly by sacrificing your life. You showed it by action and not by mere words. Help us to exhibit love, gentleness and unselfish nature to draw others to you.... We need to press on pursue our goals to have success in our personal lives be it studies for a student, for a good and steady job for a job seeker, to get a well educated and settled in good job, beautiful to look at, understanding and God fearing person as a spouse, to get a new car 🚗, a new house.., to have a better health, to have better relationships... It is good to be succesful in all our plans and efforts. God Almighty desires we all meet our needs and be happy and successful in our lives. May the Lord bless all of us and fulfil all our desires as we pray and pursue our goals and needs of life. God desires that we need to press on in our Spiritual lives too and *Move Forward To Grow In Holiness.* The greatest need of the church today is Holiness. As God's people we gives tithes, attend frequent meetings, spend time in prayers, but often fail to manifest holiness in their personal lives. The word 'holy' means 'set apart' 'to be separated' 'to be different'. From what? From others; from the people of this world and show that we are children of the living, loving and Holy God. When we belive that Jesus died for us, When we confess, repent and turn away ftom sins, and receive Jesus as our Saviour, we are washed and sanctified in His blood. It's the most important thing in anyone's life as it determines our eternal destiny. This is the first step. The 2nd step is equally important. Need to press On... move on... Paul the apostle himself said in Phil. 3:12 "Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own." Many drift away in the midway of their new christian life or christian walk with Christ. Here we need to be sanctified day by day - means move forward, press upward, press higher in Holiness and be sanctified. Nothing but 'Progressive Sanctification' in Holiness. Be set apart in our Words, Deeds, Conversation in all Purity. 1Tim. 4 12. Philip 2: 15 & 16. In the midst of crooked and perverse generation, we ought to shine as lights holding fast the Word of life. 1Pet. 1:16 Since it written, "You shall be holy for I am Holy." Help us Lord as we strive to press on higher in our personal lives. You know our personal needs, our family needs and situations in our lives. As we purse and strive hard may you bless us and answer our prayers with your mercy and grace. Welcome to "Victorious Daily Devotion" in the most amazing and loving name of Jesus Christ! 🙋‍♀️💐💐💐 Topic: Let Repentance, Reconciliation, Faith And Humility Unite Us With Divinity During This Season.. 2 Chron. 7 14. If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Lent season as we all know begins on Ash Wednesday and it is for 40 days excluding Sundays. And it ends on day of the Lord's Supper, the day before Good Friday. How the name Ash Wednesday was given? It is said, the ashes are traditionally made from the burned palms of the previous year Palm Sunday. Ashes are the significance of Regrets of past sins and addictions, Repentance and Reconciliation. Is fasting good during this season and abstain from having meat as such? It is good to do it to subject the flesh under control. But Not mandatory. Depends on individual to individual and family to family. But doing it without change of heart without change of old bad habits, without taking sin seriously and repenting becomes JUST ANOTHER RITUALUSTIC GOOD FRIDAY AND EASTER WIHOUT ANY RISEN POWER OF CHRIST. It's the sign for regretting the past failures and sins and having a true repentant heart, reconciliation with others and taking a firm decision to abstain from all pleasures of the world, such as getting rid of alcohol, drugs, worldy entertainment, mobile and social media addiction, and not burn with jealousy and envy if someone is appreciated or someone comes up in life. Instead we praise God for their blessings and success. We see many people abstain from such things but after these 40 days they return back to their old habits and pleasures. It then becomes just a ritual, lent after lent without rooting out those strongholds which draw people to darkness. And again all these fasting and abstaining from meat with a total transformation of repentance and draw more close to God is indeed the great season which culminates with the powerful meaningful and good Friday and Easter Sunday celebrating Victoriously and with true joy. The world has to see the transformation in us.. Without change of heart, repentance, humility and reconciliation the fasting has no significance and becomes just a ritual and routine one year after year. Help us Lord to humble ourselves and pray and seek your face and turn from our wicked ways to have a blessed season, Holy & Joyful Good Friday and Victorious Easter.... We Are Not Going To Live To Please Everyone, But God.. Luke 16:13 When you’re always worried about what other people think of you, you can’t be what God wants you to be. But when you learn to think like Jesus, you won’t worry about pleasing everyone. Jesus had the right focus. He was only concerned with pleasing God. Jesus was never manipulated by crowds or by the approval or disapproval of anybody else. He lived for an audience of one: “I try to please the One who sent me” John 5:30. When you have the mind of Christ, that’s what you do too. Otherwise We Start worrying of What others think if we do so and so.. Wouldn’t it simplify your life to live for an audience of one? If God likes what you are doing, then you know you are doing the right thing. God says in Matthew 3:17, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." Jesus was obviously doing it right. The truth is, you can’t please everybody. If we please evryone, then we are missing the true mark of pleasing God. Even God can’t please everybody! When someone prays for it to be sunny, somebody else is praying for it to rain. Somebody is praying for their team to do well, and someone else wants the opposing team to win. You can’t please everybody. Luke 16:13 says, “No one can serve two masters." You have to decide whose approval you’re going to seek—God’s approval or other people’s approval. Are you going to live for what other people think or what God thinks? When you are always looking for validation from other people, it means you don’t really realize who you are. You don’t understand what God made you to do, and you don’t believe that he is always with you. Jesus never let someone else’s approval or a fear of rejection control him. He was not out to win a popularity contest. He did not need other people’s opinions to validate himself. When you have the mind of Christ, you will be so secure in your identity, your purpose, and God’s presence in your life that you won’t need to look to other people for approval.
