This podcast pilot is a look into the HR/recruitment processes and some negative reoccuring themes which have been noticed over recent years. Pre covid there seemed to be very little discussion (or so it seemed) about the negative themes (and general lack of deceny by companies/agencies). As covid appeared and remains, they are being highlighted much more due to the vast amounts of people dealing with job losses and redundancies, which can only be a positive thing (the highlighting, not the job losses!). In this podcast intro I'll be looking at some of the negative themes, along with some of the questions raised about the recruitment processes in regards to common decency, impacts on candidates mental health and companies lack of basic connection and communication with candidates. All food for thought, which will hopefully resonate with some and be an opening for conversation/potential positive change. Amongst the negative there are also positives beginning to happen and initiatives starting to take shape too!
