Send us Fan Mail An audio installation created for Revoluton Arts by Lil Warren and Yvonne Gilbert with research by Susie Warren and SHANKSY. An artistic response to the River Lea from its source in Leagrave in Bedfordshire to where it meets the Thames in Bow in East London. Undercurrent blends oral histories, archived recordings, found sound and sound collected on location along the river. All woven together and first exhibited as part of a Lil Warren installation at Marsh Farm in Leagrave, combining audio, live sound and music with 2D and 3D art works. Send us Fan Mail The Stronger by August Strindberg was first performed in London in 1924.  The story, based on Strindberg's life and, not surprisingly, his wife and marriage, focuses on one Madame confronting another. This audio version was made to mark the 100th Anniversary of the first drama aired by the BBC on 15 January 1924. Send us Fan Mail This fabulously interesting and wide ranging episode is with Coventry-born (and one of the few women in the UK who is a fully qualified Helmsman) Lindsey Hood.   We recorded, on location, on the Grand Union Canal as guests on board Lindsey's narrowboat, Seresha. We hear how the life of a boater "happened" and interesting tales of living and working on the water.  An eclectic chat about rock n roll, growing up in the city of Two-Tone, bringing up a child on a narrowboat,  life as a Continuous Cruiser and the move to being a skipper. Lindsey also tells us about her Scottish and Northern ancestry, her Great-grandfather's Music Hall career (as Felix Burns) and her Grandfather's life as a violinist and how her family ended up in Coventry. She graduated from the BRIT school and went straight into working in  theatre arts. A Londoner giving LOADS back to her community. Send us Fan Mail Satema is a second-generation, British Sierra Leonean South Londoner. Since graduating from her multimedia journalism degree Satema has gone from presenting and producing on one of London's biggest community youth stations, Reprezent radio, to forging a successful career as an Assistant Producer on a number of critically acclaimed one-off documentaries. Here Lil and Satema talk about the importance of education to break down class barriers, the difference in Carnivals worldwide, and the road to JOY! Send us Fan Mail This audio adaptation, by Lil Warren, stars the cast from the, OFFIE commended and SOLD OUT promenade theatre production  of HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES performed at Abney Park by 09 Lives Theatre. (**** “atmospheric and hugely entertaining”) The company rehearsed and recorded this performance all in their own homes during lockdown. Ambient (socially distanced) recordings taken at dawn and dusk in Abney Park have also been woven into the Sound Design by Yvonne Gilbert.
