Happy New Year, star children! The first few weeks of 2022 are shaping up to be action-packed with a bunch of pesky retrograde planets going direct, a big nodal shift and Pluto partying all over the place. The world as we know it may be disintegrating before our eyes, but we've still got gardening to do. Join us!

We end our two-week long slip and slide through the Eclipse corridor with the Solar Eclipse and New Moon episode. We talk flip-flopping nodal positions, imagining better worlds and try our hand at sports metaphors with mixed results. Star Mom dips into her infamous dream journals and recounts some interesting astral alignments in decisive moments of her past, possibly coining the term "Forensic Astrology". Fun stuff!

In this ep we cover the flurry of activity unfolding with the Lunar Eclipse/New Moon combo on November 19th and enter the Eclipse corridor, giving us a little preview of the nodal axis shift to Taurus and Scorpio that will be with us for the next 18 months starting in January 2022. Then the corridor closes with the Solar Eclipse/Full Moon combo on December 4th. Hang on tight! We dig in to getting comfortable with silence, questioning our attachments, and I manage to derail the conversation to talk about labour movements and REM. 

We've got a New Moon in Scorpio coming up, so StarMom takes the opportunity to flesh out this often maligned sign with a bit more nuance and even a message of hope. Scorpios are still intense tho, so watch out ;)

Eclipse madness continues with dramatic conclusion of this gripping two-parter. RIYL: burning it down, ripping it up, starting again, entire institutions crumbling, burgeoning utopias. The dreaded Mercury Retrograde makes a surprise guest appearance, and some of the cheapest jokes of the series so far.

We discuss full moon in Scorpio, which I attempt to describe as "spicy" but am quickly corrected by Star Mom, who prefers to describe it as "intense". Potato potato, Star Mom. We also delve into the Underworld for the first time, which is full of shadow material and kids in Grim Reaper costumes. Spicy!
