What if the life God is calling you into requires you to lay down something you've been holding on to? What if the harvest you've been praying for is already growing—but you don't know how to reap it? In Week 2 of Seed. Time. Harvest., Pastor Nathan Bentley challenges us to recognize the seasons God brings us through and understand that reaping is not a passive process. Ecclesiastes tells us there is a time to plant and a time to harvest. But how do we know which season we're in, and what does faithful action look like when God has been growing something in us? Jesus' parable of the sower gives us an honest look at the condition of our hearts. Some seed never takes root. Some grows without depth. Some gets choked out by the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches. But good soil produces fruit. Before we can reap a harvest of righteousness, we must be willing to let God reveal the rocks and thorns in our lives. We must also learn to trust Him when growth is happening beneath the surface and the results aren't immediately visible. And when the harvest comes, God doesn't intend for us to keep everything for ourselves. Scripture teaches us to leave the edges of our fields—to create margin in our lives so we can be generous with our time, talents, and resources. The harvest God grows in you is meant to bless more than you. So ask yourself: What season am I in? What is God preparing me to reap? What needs to change, and how can I use what He has given me to bless others? What are you sowing into? We all want a harvest—strong marriages, healthy families, spiritual growth, financial stability, purpose, peace, and a life that honors God. But Pastor Nathan Bentley challenges us with a difficult question: Are we actually sowing the kind of seed that produces the harvest we're asking God for? Galatians 6:7 reminds us: “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.” In the opening message of our new Seed. Time. What happens when everything around you begins to shake? Hebrews 12 reminds us that kingdoms rise and fall, circumstances change, institutions can fail, and the things we thought were secure can suddenly become uncertain. But there is a Kingdom that cannot be shaken. What happens when faith doesn't look like a miracle? Hebrews 11 is known as the “Hall of Faith”—a chapter filled with men and women who trusted God, stepped out in faith, saw miracles, conquered kingdoms, received promises, and experienced God's power. But Hebrews 11 also tells the story of people who were tortured, mocked, imprisoned, stoned, and sawn in two. And Scripture calls them faithful too. Is our faith dependent on God giving us the outcome we want—or is our faith rooted in who God is and what He has already done? Faith isn't just believing God can do something. What does the blood of Jesus actually do for you?
