The WUTSUP-02 trial (ChiCTR2300067836) is a prospective, multi-centre, phase II study evaluating perioperative tislelizumab plus disitamab vedotin for upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC).  They discuss the study design, patient population, and key trial endpoints, before reviewing the efficacy, survival, and safety results, including treatment-related adverse events. Their conversation also examines the clinical significance of these findings, their potential impact on the treatment landscape for UTUC, and the next steps needed to further evaluate HER2-targeted therapies and move toward broader clinical implementation. Dr. Béatrice Bouchard discuss membranous urethral length and post-prostatectomy stress urinary incontinence
2026/09/26
In “Membranous urethral length and post-prostatectomy stress urinary incontinence”, Dr. Béatrice Bouchard (CA) examines membranous urethral length (MUL) as a predictor of continence outcomes after prostatectomy. Based on a retrospective study of 161 men, she shows that patients with post-prostatectomy incontinence have a substantially shorter MUL compared with men presenting urgency incontinence, findings consistent with MRI data.  The episode outlines how urethral pressure profiling, performed during routine urodynamics using the Brown and Wickham technique, can reliably measure MUL and provide clinically useful information. Dr. Bouchard highlights the method’s potential value for risk stratification, patient counselling, and guiding surgical strategies aimed at preserving urethral length and improving functional outcomes.  For more EAU podcasts, please go to your favourite podcast app and subscribe to our podcast channel for regular updates: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, EAU YouTube channel.
EAU Section of Functional Urology: The Urologist’s Guide to suspecting neurogenic LUTS - A practical podcast for the general urologist

In this episode, Prof. Sanjay Sinha is joined by Dr. Charalampos Konstantinidis, Dr. Stefania Musco and Prof. Marcio Averbeck to discuss a practical approach to suspecting neurogenic lower urinary tract symptoms in everyday clinical practice. The conversation explores the clinical features that should raise suspicion of an underlying neurological disorder, the importance of a comprehensive history, physical examination and simple diagnostic tests, and how to distinguish neurogenic LUTS from more common urological conditions. The faculty also discuss common clinical scenarios, highlight when further neurological assessment or urodynamic evaluation may be appropriate, and share practical advice to help general urologists avoid missed diagnoses. EAUN edition: No place to go: Homelessness & Incontinence
2026/09/12
This EAUN edition presents the episode “No Place to Go: Homelessness & Incontinence.” Eva Wallace, Clinical Nurse Advisor and Chair of the EAUN Special Interest Group (SIG) Continence, is joined by Anne Marie Kelly, Clinical Nurse Specialist in Continence with the Health Service Executive (HSE) in the Dublin area, for an important conversation on the often-overlooked connection between homelessness and incontinence. Without reliable access to toilets, hygiene facilities, clean clothing or continence products, a manageable condition can become a daily struggle, affecting dignity, health and social inclusion. The discussion explores the practical challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness and highlights how incontinence can further complicate an already vulnerable situation. By bringing this hidden issue into the open, the episode considers how compassionate, practical continence care can make a meaningful difference for people without a place to call home. PEACE 2 results: Evaluating pelvic RT for very high-risk PCa
2026/08/11
In this episode, UROONCO PCa associate editor Dr. Jennifer Le Guévelou speaks with radiation oncologist Prof. Pierre Blanchard on the results of the PEACE 2 phase III randomised trial investigating prophylactic pelvic radiotherapy (RT) targeting pelvic nodal micrometastases and/or cabazitaxel may both reduce the risk of relapse and improve outcomes in patients with very high-risk localised prostate cancer. They discuss the design of the PEACE 2 trial, and its key findings, which showed that whole-pelvic radiotherapy yielded only a minimal trend towards improving clinical progression-free survival, with no significant impact on secondary endpoints, including metastasis-free survival and overall survival.  For more updates on prostate cancer, please visit our educational platform UROONCO PCa.
