Description

https://linktr.ee/MamaDramaTrauma Mama Drama Trauma (MDT) is a condition in which empaths live in a state of constant emotional dysregulation as a result of having the mother wound. MDT Academy is a short cut course for empaths to reduce trigger recovery time by releasing using the Mama Drama Trauma Healing Oracle Deck. This grievous process is facilitated by 1)learning to live in loving detachment from mama, drama and the trauma 2)through daily practice of the divinity identity mantra: "I AM a dearly loved divine child of the Great Mother Father God who is never judged, condemned or left alone," who has the birthright to be healthy, happy and whole. MDT Academy teaches a spiritual method that addresses the unchallenged and unexamined maternal shame, blame and guilt at the root of this spiritual crisis and planetary disorder. If you have MDT, it is likely your mother has her own mother wound and as soulmates you are co-evolving in self love and spiritual independence. Ma'at Unmuted on Mood Modulation
2025/09/07
Rage about not getting the love we need is real, but remember anger doesn’t hurt others, it hurts ourselves. Triggered about not having your needs met? May sound far fetched but the pain could be signaling Great Mother’s call home within yourself. Because many of us have been mothers many times, including of our own mother, She says, “It is time for a change.” What if the need is not a thing or a person, but to not be so easily depleted by others? What if the need is not an imagined peace but to see our everyday needs as our birthright, calmly, gracefully and in the heart space to internally attracting them to us? MDT Academy Then and Now Mama Drama Trauma Academy 2.0 is all about trigger release. Initial years 2022-2024, we scaled the walls of MDT in our first phase all about where we’ve been. Recognizing the depths of the wounding and how to heal it was grounded in the Mama Drama Trauma Healing Oracle Deck which helps us lovingly recognize the depth and our divinity. Before we can fully reclaim it, Great Mother, through her 12 Daughters (whose true identity we are only beginning to discover in relationship to us and MDT), have so much to teach us about our birth right lineage as mother wound empaths. As we proceed into this new season, we reconnect with them to learn more about who we are, where we have been and may be headed collectively. We began with our Dogon mother, Amma and Kemet mother, Isis’ core ancestral matriarchal rage in The Mother’s Roar: Rage as a Sign of Forgotten Radiance. Thanks for reading MDT Academy Newsletter! This post is public so feel free to share it. Today, we continue with Ma'at urging us to end the silent suffering of high sensitivity and surrender to our own enchantment…to hold our own vessel. The ancient Egyptian goddess is associated with scales of truth, justice, balance, and cosmic order, Ma'at, is often depicted as a woman with an ostrich feather on her head, and sometimes with wings, but not typically as a "black mother goddess" embodying balance was the guiding principle for all of humanity. Her unique mother goddess role as death doula for rebirth, gives her the central role in the Hall of Judgment where the deceased's heart is weighed on a scale against Ma'at's feather. A heart lighter than the feather allows the soul to enter the afterlife, while a heavier heart is devoured by the monster Amut. The Mother’s Roar: Rage as a Sign of Forgotten Radiance
2025/08/31
As we continue with our 2.0 MDTA Series on trigger management, we delve deeply into the wound of rage, its radiance and why it is time to release our resistance and flow with it. Resilience is the ability to bounce back, get back up, the capacity to withstand or to recover quickly from difficulties. To that end, this dialogue between Great Mother of the Waters, Mami Wata, herself speaks to a priestess-medium, myself or maybe you... “The Voice of Mami Wata: On Rage and Radiance” Priestess: Great Mother of Waters, we call upon you. We come trembling, carrying the wounds of daughters, mothers, and mothers’ mothers. Teach us: how do we hold your rage and radiance without drowning in it? Mami Wata: Child of earth and water, look into my mirror. What you fear as rage is not madness — it is the surge of my tide. What you call radiance is not decoration — it is the gleam of my scales. Both are mine. Both are yours. Priestess: But Mother, when your waves rise too high, we are shattered. We call it trauma. We call it abandonment. Mami Wata: Yes. When my waters are ignored, when my currents are dammed, when men and women alike pretend I am tame — I break through. I drown fields, I pull ships under. Not to destroy for pleasure, but to demand respect. Rage is radiance denied. Priestess: So your rage is not against us, but against forgetting? Mami Wata: Against forgetting, yes. Against lies that paint the mother as ever-gentle, when creation itself is fierce. Against silence, when your bones remember my roar. I am beauty and danger, womb and wave, caress and flood. Priestess: How then shall we honor you, that your rage becomes blessing, your radiance becomes guidance? Mami Wata: Bring me offerings: not only shells and rum, but honesty. Say aloud your anger. Do not hide it in the child’s heart. Dance it, sing it, wash it in my waters. Then let it settle into still pools, where the moon shows you your reflection. Priestess: And for those who carry Mama Drama Trauma — the sting of mothers’ rage without their radiance? Mami Wata: Teach them my law: Rage is holy when it guards life. Radiance is holy when it gives life. Both must dance together. When rage becomes curse, it is because radiance was silenced. When radiance blinds, it is because rage was buried. Restore the dance, and the wound will soften. Priestess: Great Mother of Waters, what last word do you leave us with? Mami Wata: Child, I am not far. I flow in your blood, I shine in your tears. When you rage, rage as ocean — not as poison. When you radiate, radiate as sun on water — not as fire without vessel. Call me, and I will show you the tide that heals. ✨ MDT Academy Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. They Birthed Us Anyway
2025/08/24
The tests, trials and tribulations of motherhood and childhood under patriarchy is seeded in womb envy, the envy men may feel towards a woman's role in nurturing and sustaining life. Coined by Karen Horney, German psychoanalyst and early Freudian "apprentice" whose theories diverged significantly from Freud's, particularly concerning female psychology and the origins of neuroses. Freud argued that little girls suffer an inferiority complex for not having a penis. This theory became a bedrock of patriarchal psychology, reinforcing the idea that male anatomy (and by extension, male power) was the universal norm. Freud did not address history — he projected a cultural bias into human development. This is “science” under patriarchy. Today, we enter “spirituality” under matriarchy, the era when empaths, both male and female, ruled. Link for your own Mama Drama Trauma Healing Oracle Deck. The Loneliness Trap
2025/08/17
Trauma Bond Avoidance Can Be Traumatizing Trauma bonding relies on codependence, “I don’t feel good, happy or healed unless you are good, happy or healed.” To avoid this, we often avoid relationships altogether. Though extreme to others, for us its already difficult enough to distinguish between our feelings and others’ when dysregulated, and present chaos only muddies the waters even more. We either suppress, rationalize or avoid addressing our unmet maternal needs because that is Mama and if she didn’t sufficiently do it, in fact, often did the opposite, and it is taboo to object or even examine this experience it produces duplicity or cognitive dissonance. Duplicity of feeling unloved and loved produces the cognitive dissonance of believing what we are conditioned to believe: we are loved existing within an opposing lived experience that proves we are not. For empaths, this constant state of teetering emotions, threatens our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing until we begin to challenge and fully examine it. Knowing the Difference Between Being Alone and Lonely Is Key Trauma bonding is counterproductive to healing but, for those of us terrified of loneliness, feels like a lifeline. Here’s how to anchor the difference between trauma bonding and being a friend: * Feeling like I need to share a similar experience or identify with you to feel safe with you. Strong attachment between an abuser and the person experiencing abuse screams trauma bonding. While it isn’t the same thing as bonding with someone over shared or similar traumatic experiences, if your presence, or being there to listen is not enough, and the exchange drains you in any way, codependence is afoot and a boundary is needed. * Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response where hostages or abuse victims develop positive feelings and loyalty towards their captors or abusers. This phenomenon, while rare, involves forming an emotional bond and even identifying with the aggressor's perspective. Though a dynamic where someone develops positive feelings like sympathy or attachment towards an abuser differs from feeling connected to someone because they understand your trauma or because they've experienced something similar, if the connection is relied upon to be happy or feel good about yourself the connection is codependent. * The narcissist empath relationship cycle often follows a cyclical pattern of attraction, idealization, devaluation, and eventual discard, or hoovering if the empath attempts to leave. This cycle is fueled by the empath's inherent desire to nurture and heal, and the narcissist's need for admiration and control. We often attempt to avoid loneliness only to feel alone in trauma bonds caused by repeated cycles of devaluation, fear, and intermittent kindness or affection which our codependence confuses with healthy sharing of traumatic event details with someone who loves us. * Emotional abuse is when someone repeatedly tries to make you feel bad, unloved or worthless. It includes insults and threats, restricting your freedom, embarrassing you in public and bullying often happening in MDT relationships (i.e. mother, daughter, sibling, friends, relatives, neighbors, coworkers, etc.). Because emotional abuse is so alienating yet familiar, to avoid being alone, we form bonds characterized by feelings of loyalty and dependency despite mistreatment. As we grow weary of this kind of negative codependency, we seek bonds based on shared trauma and mutual vulnerability. * An individual, often from childhood, has come to perceive abusive behaviors as normal or acceptable, despite the harmful impact is said to view abuse or abuse as a norm and to normalization it themselves. This cycle highlights how the nervous system associate survival with the presence of the abuser making it hard to leave. This is not the same as feeling attached to someone after undergoing the same traumatic experience—as long as survival is not codependent. @freequenseers Isolation is a symptom of the wound, not your true state. Discover how to spot the kindred spirits who “get it” without you having to explain everything. Your path is not meant to be solitary. MDT Academy Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. Chosen from the Fire of Mama Drama Trauma: Return of the Priestess-Prophets
2025/08/11
[Opening Invocation] Beloved daughters of the Great Mother… This is the sound of your own blood remembering. The rivers inside you, the salt of your tears, the pulse that ties you to every womb before yours… They are calling you back. ⸻ Last week in You Were Made for Matriarchy, the empath’s mother wound origin was demystified, and you were encouraged to focus on all the confirmations you are receiving in this age of chaos. This week, we define how terms such as “chosen ones”, “timelines” and “bloodlines” to clarity why, where, what and how DNA strands relate to destiny timelines connecting us to the MamiIsis lineage, the origin of all matrilineal bloodlines. * Bloodline and zodiac cycles * Bloodline extinction * Bloodline survival and reveal * We live all cycles and timelines* body and soul * We evolve through time (patrilineal) linear experience in form and space (matrilineal) DNA memory * We each carry a dominant original bloodline signature throughout cycles (the one we default/return to for important evolutionary lessons, universal melanin) Link for your own Mama Drama Trauma Healing Oracle Deck. Ancestral Mother Wound Message to Empaths: You Are Made for Matriarchy
2025/08/04
Did you know matriarchy was central to the spiritual governance of pre-historical society? Before land ownership, militarization, statehood and centralized power, there were land rights, communal responsibility, spiritual states of individual and communal power ruled by empaths. There’s nothing new under sun. We mastered “self love” care, focus, understanding, princess treatment and queen making. It was intuitive and was the norm for women, mothers and matriarchs who for the last 3,000 years have been short circuited by patriarchy— a second compared to the eons of matriarchy headed by priestess and prophetess. Unearthing the Ancestral Mother Imagine our First Mothers and the matriarchal societies they were born in, gave their lives to and perpetuated through their progeny. * Different Mothering cultures and different matriarch traditions * Who we were - mother wound empaths, the most ancient matriarch survivors * Where we’ve been - suffering the mother wound * Where we are - absorbing spiritual persistence / preparation for post chaos * Where we’re going - ancestral mother awareness, unification / post chaos return to natural order era * Prepare for post chaos return era to natural the natural order Link for your own Mama Drama Trauma Healing Oracle Deck. Difference Between Self Love and Divine Mother Love
2025/07/27
Link for your own Mama Drama Trauma Healing Oracle Deck. When was the last time you took an inner journey to the feeling you had with women who loved and nurtured you the most? Those aunties, big sisters, grandmothers, or perhaps for you, it was a babysitter, neighbor or teacher who is long gone in form, and even memory. Though we may not have recognized them at the time, they saw all of who we were and would be the first to cry foul if anybody tried to change us. Today, we journey to reconnect with them, their energy and lessons they taught us. Let’s get ready to pay it forward in the coming post-chaos world! Deck used for reading. Original Goddess Wound
2025/07/13
Link for your own Mama Drama Trauma Healing Oracle Deck. You Are Not and Have Never Been Alone Ever hear of the Tchamba? Did you know there is a group of ancestral souls who oversee and protect descendants of enslaved Africans in America? Did you know African Americans are direct descendants of these spirits with tribal connections making them not only a part of the African spiritual continuum, but central to it? “The Tchamba spirits are the ghosts of forgotten ancestors— torn from their homelands, stripped of their names, languages, gods, and rituals, yet whose spiritual presence still lingers. Because of the trauma, resilience, and spiritual depth of their journey and the lessons it has to teach, they are calling out to be remembered, honored, and restored in our hearts. This group of foundational black Americans, specifically derived from waves of African enslavement and exportation to the Americas —known as the New World— during the rise of patriarchy in pre-Greco-Roman Europe and Alkebulan now known as “Africa” —were direct descendants of the Middle Passage, and are not disconnected or lost, but carry in their veins Tchamba blood that remembers and deems them sacred. Three Important Points about the Tchamba: #1 - The Tchamba ancestors are crying out to be seen, not as property or history, but as powerful spirits worthy of the reverence and honor that facilitates AfAm reclamation of their stolen lineage. Veneration of Tchamba is not about dwelling on pain but transforming it into spiritual power and ancestral reconnection. #2 - This is being done in present day Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso and Ghana where Tchama spirits were enslaved and sold into slavery by African lineages often within the same ethnic groups. The Tchamba are venerated, acknowledged, and appeased for reconnection with and healing of unacknowledged ancestors who suffered in bondage. #3 - Restoring spiritual balance and generational healing begins by acknowledging the historical trauma of slavery that is embedded not just in the physical world, but in the spiritual realm. This breaks the spiritual taboos that caused AfAms to forget and deny the ancestors, the very support we need to empower true liberation. The Mourning After: Kamala Harris Will Win
2024/11/06
This morning I woke up to part one of an intuitive hit: the Promise of America not looking so promising. However, this hit has three parts so hand on to your hats! Part two is to be patient because now that we have done all we can do: pray, vote and do our inner work to maintain peace—just stand, continue doing the inner work and watch. Watch what? Part 3: the promise will be kept. Victory for the Vice President. I said what I said, or rather I am repeating what Great Mother said to me. What You Need to Know about Karma
2024/08/04
Karma, as the saying goes, is what goes around comes around. There are three types of karma. Mama Drama Trauma is all three. Mother wound empaths need disciplined, conscious awareness and conscientious action to heal. This is not difficult considering the depth of sensitivity to ourselves, others and situations, we possess. However, the task of calling upon, summoning or conjuring these inner powers, is something we must learn. The Good Fight
2024/07/28
The good thing about fights is they clarify. Knowing and doing what is right is more than a moral issue for us. Morals change. We need energetic efficiency. The more we know what is right and best for us the more we experience our birthright to be happy, healthy and whole. Here are my reflections on this past week’s sociopolitical events, how they affect me and how as a mother wound empath I am processing them with loving detachment. Crazy Talk
2024/07/21
What is America’s Sacred Contract? According to Caroline Myss, it’s to fulfill its promise of the universal inalienable birthright of individual expression of its “cosmic divine force”. There is no creation without chaos and no chaos without creation. This process is internally occurring in all of us and today we talk about it within the context of MDT. Whether you have experienced it your entire life, over a specific period, or are not even sure you have, you may know how overwhelming and inescapable it feels. This is not a bad thing! Chaos signals it is time to transcend material bonds to soul align. As we increasingly answer soul’s call, we are more available to experience what we—not mama— imagine our lives to be. On top of that, none of what I’m saying is new. Crazy isn’t it? Motherland America, is a lot to transcend but my recent practice has recreated in me a renewed way to perceive the chaos. Courage to Care About Yourself More Than Mama, the Drama or Trauma
2024/07/14
If taking care of yourself meant going no contact and you not only sacrifice your mother but your daughter too, would—or even could you do it? It takes courage. Ever read a blog post so real, so relatable that you wanted to meet its author? I was lucky enough to do just that in MDTA’s first guest interview with author Heather Valentine, creator of Substack’s Elastic Heart. Get ready to feel like a fly on the wall as you encounter the vicissitudes and internal victories of her life. Here, we get deep but don’t worry Academicians*, Heather knows how to swim… As I read,“1997 Mother’s Day,” I saw a woman who has lived through the trials, tribulations and challenges of transcending Mama Drama Trauma. In it, Heather exposes her vulnerability in dealing with the most excruciating parts of her journey. Well written, sure, but I wasn’t expecting this bright little summer read to enlighten me so much about how MDT can develop empathy, what it takes to build courage for self-care, and the transformative power of reframing maternal burdens into blessings. A journey far from easy, I had to invite this authentically witty and unintentionally wise author (and person as you will hear), who gets it. Another author and speaker I adore is spiritual mystic and medical intuitive, Carolyn Myss who teaches about the difference between fate and destiny. She says fate is tied to “we” and survival which is taught by the family, but destiny is about “I” which is something we must define through individual soul alignment. MDT healing is a lifelong journey to the destiny of “I” which in my experience can take multiple lifetimes. In it, we eventually choose to align by integrating the experience as another form of love. This love is not the kind of we are or are not taught, but the countless internal actions we choose to transform it into the love we need. We hear a lot about brain plasticity and the power of changing our thoughts but that is impossible without stretching the heart from “we” to “I” and back to “we” after integrating or growing from the pain—every heroine’s journey. That’s the heart elasticity Heather Valentine shares. So, If you are on the brink of giving up on yourself, the uphill journey to personal peace or life in general listen to her story. You can also download the Substack app for easy reading, listening and to engage on the chat. MDT Academy Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. How to Handle the Opps and Optics of No Contact
2024/07/07
SUMMER SESSION Continues… Life promises ups and downs, but would you rather go through them feeling alienated and alone or at least feeling loved, lubricated, facile and free? Yes, the work is always ours to do, and our divinity ours to prove to ourselves, but we are built for it. Great Mother’s message about today’s topic The Ops, Optics of No Contact: MDTHOD guidebook revisions discussed here as well. This summer I’m feeling the pulse of millennials on how they handle being a mother wound empath going no contact. Here’s the compilation video excerpt from the beautiful Destiny Uteh’s channel. Not withstanding parents are people, I have recently got in touch with my ancestral mother rage going all the way back to the Sibyls. Recently, it has been immensely transformational to be called by Mami Wata to liberate myself through deeper self empowerment and healing work. More on that later but for now, here’s a pebble from my path. In short, it is what it is. Pamela Gregory astrological visionary imploring us to stay on our eagle’s perch. The book The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz organized the Toltec teachings in an exploration of their four agreements: "Be impeccable with your word", "Do not take anything personally", "Do not make assumptions", and "Always do your best."
