Kid Rock says he didn't get saved. So what does it mean to be a Christian in today's America? In light of Kid Rock's upcoming, self-described Christian album, Halfway 2 Jesus,  is America embracing the Jesus of Scripture—or a new, culturally acceptable Jesus who demands little and changes nothing? In this compelling episode of Concerning The Times, Howard Green examines Kid Rock's public statements, America's growing fascination with celebrity Christianity, and the biblical truth about repentance, salvation, and being born again. Nearly 60 million men and women will die around the world this year. Using Jesus' statistics, most of them will die unsaved and enter eternity in hell. As Jesus' followers, we must do everything possible to *warn people and reach them with the good news. This is a call to a biblical sense of urgency. Christian churches in America are in imminent danger and don't realize it. Most churches boast of growing attendance, relevance, and success, yet the glory and Spirit of God departing from our gatherings is a reality. Drastic change is critical; or we risk Jesus’ words to the Laodicean church happening to us: "I will spit you out of my mouth." Let's look together at the absolute worldly nightmare most American churches have become and restore our local fellowships through repentance and humility. It's time to stop business-as-usual church and give the glory to God, not ourselves. Show Notes: Recommended videos: I highly recommend the first video. End-time Bible prophecy is the most debated topic among Christians in all of scripture. Healthy debate is good, but a dangerous, unbiblical precedent is being set. End-time Bible prophecy is being attacked from within the church by supposed shepherds. Let’s look at the deception that Jesus and the apostles warned us would come.  Show Notes: All audio clips and book quotes are unaltered and provided for further research. Prominent men are preparing the way for the Antichrist. Men like Yuval Noah Harari and others are distorting the truth with lies, and this will culminate in the soon arrival of a world leader who will control the global economy and system of worship. The onset of mass surveillance, digital IDs, digital currency, and AI will soon make the unthinkable a reality. Please take a moment to give us a rating & subscribe to the podcast. Thanks! The “new normal” isn’t normal, and deep down we all feel it. As society becomes desensitized to rage, violence, and unkindness, it’s easier to recognize the evil in others than the sin within ourselves. This episode challenges that reality and points to the true hope found in Jesus. Learn how He changes hearts and how sharing the Gospel can bring light and lasting impact to those we encounter every day as we near His second coming. *Please take a moment to rate and subscribe to our podcast. Our lives are made up of decades, years, hours, minutes, and seconds, and there are 86,400 seconds in each day. Time is an immeasurably valuable commodity, a finite resource that we can spend, invest in, or waste just like money. We are all given a limited amount of time on earth to live, and then we die. In God’s grace and mercy, He knows when that time is for each person. As the awareness of sin marches on, the seconds of our lives tick away. Every one of those seconds is a step on the road to eternity. Show notes: Quotes in this episode were from King David, Leonard Ravenhill, and Dave Hunt. Jesus said that there is one sin that won't be forgiven. When people think of the unforgivable sin, they generally have a list of the so-called big and small ones. Things like murder and rape are usually at the top, while gossip and pride are lesser offenses in society's eyes. But the Bible breaks through the confusion and tells us what the unpardonable sin is and how to avoid it. We'll discuss it together in this episode.  Please take a moment to rate and subscribe to this podcast. Thanks! The sad news of the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk shed light on the elephant in the world’s living room. It exposed society’s underlying hatred of anything good, especially true Christians. The Spirit-filled life is a term we often hear and read about, but what exactly does it mean? In this timely message, Pastor Ian Huxham provides a biblical overview of the Holy Spirit's role in our Christian life. He explains why being Spirit-filled, led, and empowered should be the norm, not the exception, in the daily lives of every follower of Jesus.  This episode is from one of the messages at the 2025 Southwest Bible Week Conference in Bicton, UK.
