We are living at a pivotal time in the relatively short history of human beings. The earth’s resources are being used up faster than they can be regenerated. There are many solutions that are not difficult to implement. Imagine a group who's purpose is to show organizations and households how they can easily adopt new technology and scientific discovery to eliminate their detrimental impact on the environment ... and restore it. Winton Evers is leading the change with "EcoProfit". An organization that is showing the way for us to go carbon neutral.

I will call Deb Dare a 'Socially Active Activist'.  Deb has been a activist since the 1980's. I'm not highlighting this to be an age-ist, but to focus the point that for some people being and activist has been a lifetime of successes and disappointments that would put many off getting involved at all. Yet here 40 years later Deb Dare is still a voice to be reckoned with.

We talk to Peter LeGras about his work with, and getting involved with 'Open Street Maps'. Gone are the street directories we kept in the cars glove box. No longer do we pick up one of the 'fold out servo maps' when visiting a new town. We're in 2021, there is so much more information available with a swipe of one finger. Today we learn about the work of one Blue Mountains resident who is actively mapping the community we live in by updating Open Street Maps. We also learn how we can get involved.

Your ecological footprint may be larger than you think – but how can you live a low carbon lifestyle?  Reduce, reuse, recycle – Sounds like a great 'catch phrase' for having a low carbon home. But how can we be sure that you are always being as energy efficient as possible in order to reduce your carbon footprint. We talk to Annabel Murray about the work being done by business owners in the Blue Mountains to become "Low Carbon Businesses", and how we as individuals can better understand our own Carbon Footprint.    

The sleepy town of Lawson in the Blue Mountains is seen by many to be "The heart of the mountains", and the focal point of the activities seems to be centered around 1 Badgery Crescent, Lawson NSW, Which is Lyttleton stores. in preparing this series of interviews and podcasts, one name kept on popping up Emanuella - Manu - Prigioni  A Permaculture designer and teacher, food grower and researcher in regenerative agriculture, Manu is an active participant in local food growing and sustainability initiatives throughout the Blue Mountains, and launched the "Farm It Forward" social enterprise, which connects Blue Mountains landowners with local young people who are passionate about growing food. 

Artist - Actor - Mentor - Teacher - Writer - Musician. Elly Chatfield is more than a survivor of the Stolen Generation. An amazing and inspirational woman with a strong personality and an even stronger spirit.

In October 1984, Greg Mortimer and his expedition partner Tim Macartney-Snape became the first two Australians to reach the summit of Mt Everest. Awarded with an Order of Australia (OAM) for his services to mountaineering, along with three Australian Geographic Society Medals. Named as one of Australia’s 50 Greatest Explorers. Yet Greg Mortimer is not resting on his laurels and past glories. One of the Founding Board members of the Lithgow Community Power Project, Greg is working towards turning the Coal mining town of Lithgow into a hub for renewable energy.
