Welcome to the latest Scottish Enterprise ‘Think’ podcast about Clean Heat. Broadcast to you in advance of the Scottish Enterprise Clean Heat 2025 Conference in March.   The podcast is hosted by SE’s Energy Transition Specialist, Catriona MacTaggart, in conversation with Robin Peters, Co-Founder and CEO and Michelle Robinson, Head of Business Development at Snugg, an Edinburgh based fintech start-up on a mission to make home energy efficiency simple, affordable for all, aiming to reduce the 20% of UK CO2 that’s due to housing energy use.    You will hear from Robin and Michelle on their journey from inception in 2022 to where they are now, support received and how this is helping the company to grow as a key player in the Clean Heat industry.  Catriona and Michelle will also reflect on the Clean Heat 2024 Conference and why you should sign up to attend this year’s conference on 26 March in Glasgow.

One year on from COP26, this is a bonus episode in the series of our climate podcasts, our head of marketing, Alyson Smith catches up with Adrian Gillespie, CEO of Scottish Enterprise. It's the final few days before COP26 begins in Glasgow. In our latest episode Councillor Susan Aitken, Leader of Glasgow City Council,  joins Linda Murray, Director of Strategy at Scottish Enterprise. During the episode, they discuss how small and large businesses alike have a part to play in tackling emissions, and Susan shares her hopes for a "Glasgow Accord" to come from the discussions at COP26.

In our fifth episode, Elaine Walker from our marketing and corporate affairs team chats with zero-waste influencer and environmental scientist, Laura Young (also known as Less Waste Laura). In the episode, Laura shares the small changes individuals and businesses can make to live more sustainably and with less waste. As always, towards the end of the episode, Laura shares her hopes and aspirations for COP26 which comes to Glasgow this November.

In our fourth episode, Ruth Andrew from our marketing and corporate affairs team chats with Daniel Smith of AstroAgency and Kristina Tamane of the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute and Scottish Space Leadership Council. In the episode, they discuss the journey to a more sustainable space sector and they share their hopes for COP26 in Glasgow this November.

In our third episode, our Directory of Strategy, Linda Murray, talks to Professor Jim Skea -  former chair of the Just Transition Commission, Professor of sustainable energy at Imperial College London, and founding member of the UK’s Committee on Climate Change. In the episode, they discuss what a Just Transition is and Professor Skea shares his hopes for COP26 in Glasgow this November.

They talk about Sacha's  early life, the round-Britain Climate Challenge that she's planning on the run-up to COP26 in Glasgow, and why she's known as "The Human Swan".
