Description
Sant Attar Singh Ji, the most widely known and respected Sant in modern times, was born at Cheema, a village in the erstwhile Jind State (now in Sangrur district of Punjab, India) on 28 March 1866. His advocacy of education for the girl-child, and blending education with spirituality show his sense of foresightedness. Even a century back, he knew that mere scientific education would only lead to destruction, and education of the girl-child would result in the whole family getting educated. Towards that end, he first set up a school for girls in 1906.

Kaand 26.1 | Seva Simran De Aasre Naam Roop Ton Abhaav Hona Hi Asli Fakeeri | Jeevan Katha | Audio Book | Sant Attar Singh Ji
2026/10/09
In this episode of Sant Attar Singh Ji Maharaj’s Jeevan Katha, we hear about the growing influence of Sant Ji’s Naam Bani Parchar in the Punjab region and the beginning of the journey towards Sindh and Hazur Sahib.
After Sant Ji Maharaj’s travels and spiritual activities around Amritsar Sahib and Tarn Taran Sahib, His reputation and spiritual message had spread throughout the Majha region, and news of His presence reached Lahore and surrounding areas. The devotees in Lahore developed a strong desire to have Sant Ji Maharaj come among them for Darshan and Naam Bani.
The devotees were making preparations to bring Sant Ji from Tarn Taran Sahib to Lahore. However, before they could do so, they received news that Sant Ji Maharaj had already left for the Pothohar region.
To confirm the whereabouts of Sant Ji, the Sangat sent a person to Tarn Taran Sahib. From Mai Ram Kaur Ji’s Bunga, they learned that Sant Ji Maharaj had travelled towards Dera Khalsa along with Sardar Gharbara Singh Ji and Mai Bhagwanti Ji.
This episode highlights the growing spread of Naam Bani, Sikh spiritual teachings and Gurmat Parchar, as Sant Ji Maharaj continued travelling from one place to another and connecting Sangat with the path of Naam Simran and Gurbani.
🙏 Listen to this inspiring episode and continue the journey through the Jeevan Katha of Sant Attar Singh Ji Maharaj.

Kaand 25.1 | Man Vich Preekhia Da Sankalp Auna | Jeevan Katha | Audio Book | Sant Attar Singh Ji
2026/10/02
In this episode of Sant Attar Singh Ji Jeevan Katha (Audio Book), we hear about an important chapter in the spiritual journey of Sant Attar Singh Ji Maharaj, involving Amritsar Sahib, Tarn Taran Sahib, Master Tara Singh, and the Sangat taking Amrit.
After leaving Mai Ram Kaur Ji's Bunga, Sant Ji Maharaj travelled towards Amritsar Sahib with Sardar Gharbara Singh Ji. Before leaving, Sant Ji instructed Mai Bhagwanti Ji to bring only four members of the Jatha, although the Jatha consisted of 25 people. However, Mai Bhagwanti Ji followed with eight devotees.
On the way, a priest from Tarn Taran Sahib, who had invited Sant Ji Maharaj for Prashad, learned that Sant Ji was travelling towards Amritsar. He followed them in a tanga and requested Sant Ji to stop and accept his invitation.
Sant Ji Maharaj responded with great humility and patience, explaining that they would accept Prashad when the opportunity arose. He also said that if they had been stopped within the boundary of Tarn Taran Sahib, they might have turned back—but now they had reached the area of Amritsar, and the devotees had prevailed.
Sant Ji made it clear that the Hukam was to continue forward.
This episode also connects with the important theme of Amrit Chhakna (Khande di Pahul) and the spiritual awakening of the Sangat, making it a meaningful part of the larger life journey of Sant Attar Singh Ji Maharaj.
🎙️ Listen to this episode to explore a fascinating chapter involving Sant Attar Singh Ji, Amritsar Sahib, Tarn Taran Sahib, the Sangat, Amrit, Gurmat, and Divine Hukam.

Kaand 24.1 | Do Gurmukhan Da Paraspar Mel Ate Bachan-Bilas | Jeevan Katha | Audio Book | Sant Attar Singh Ji
2026/09/25
In this heartfelt episode of Sant Attar Singh Ji Jeevan Katha (Audio Book), we explore the true meaning of Prem (Divine Love) and the deep spiritual bond between a devoted heart and its beloved Sant.
The episode beautifully explains that true love begins when a person goes beyond the limits of the self and becomes completely absorbed in the remembrance of the beloved. When the heart is filled with such sincere love and longing, a powerful spiritual attraction develops—the beloved is drawn naturally toward the devotee.
This teaching is beautifully reflected through the devotion of Mai Bhagbhari Ji, who remained deeply attached to Sant Attar Singh Ji Maharaj. While Sant Ji was away at the Dukh Bhanjani Jag of Thakur Nihal Singh Ji, Mai Bhagbhari constantly longed for his Darshan. Although she continued performing her daily household duties, her mind remained focused on the lotus feet of Sant Ji Maharaj.
Her young son, Kaka Hira Singh Ji, would innocently ask her again and again, “When will Sant Ji Maharaj come? When will I sit with Sant Ji, have Prashad, and recite Gurbani?” These innocent questions made Mai Bhagbhari's longing and love even deeper.
This episode is a beautiful reflection on Prem, Virah, remembrance, devotion, Sant-Sangat, and the spiritual power of true love.
🎙️ Listen to this episode to understand how sincere love and remembrance can transform the heart and create an unbreakable spiritual connection.

22.01 Guru Charna ’Ch Dhyaan Jod Ke Naam Japan Naal Mann Nu Shaanti Mildi Hai | Jeevan Katha | Audio Book | Sant Attar Singh Ji
2026/09/04
In this powerful and mysterious episode of Sant Attar Singh Ji Jeevan Katha (Audio Book), we hear a remarkable sakhi from the life of Sant Attar Singh Ji Maharaj that reflects the depth of faith, Divine Hukam, and the extraordinary spiritual journey of a true Sant.
One day, Sant Ji quietly left Rawalpindi without informing anyone, leaving his companions asleep. He reached the railway station alone and, with the help of a devotee, traveled to Dhan Mangal. Meanwhile, the Sangat became deeply concerned and searched throughout the surrounding areas for Sant Ji.
Eventually, his companions traced him to Dhan Mangal and discovered that Sant Ji had reportedly been lying unconscious in bed for two days. Yet, as soon as the Sangat arrived, Sant Ji suddenly sat up.
When the devotees asked, “Maharaj, what has happened?”, Sant Ji simply explained that everything was happening according to Hukam.
The devotees later learned that Sant Ji may have been given mercury (para) and had remained unconscious. His rising at the arrival of the Sangat became another remarkable incident in this chapter of his life.
The title of this episode, “Sant Kau Mat Nidho, Sant Ram Hai Iko,” reminds us of the Sikh teaching that we should never criticize or judge a true Sant, recognizing the Divine presence in spiritually realized souls.
🎙️ Listen to this deeply moving episode to discover a remarkable sakhi filled with faith, Hukam, Sant Mahima, devotion, and spiritual mystery.
