Krippendorf's Tribe (Remastered)

2026/07/17

Enjoy our coverage of Krippendorf's Tribe in this remaster of episode 30, originally released on December 3, 2021. There is no excuse for why this film was made. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Threesome

2026/07/10

In a time before Stephen Baldwin was born again, he starred in this “rom-com” doing weird sex stuff with Lara Flynn Boyle and Josh Charles. Justin Bieber’s father in law played college pervert Stuart alongside Boyle’s Alex and Charles’s Eddy. Jane and Brandon cover this 90’s almost classic dealing with sexuality, identity, and best of all, the unwavering pretension of a few 20-somethings in college. Don’t let the 30% rating on rotten tomatoes scare you. We actually liked this one! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Soapdish

2026/06/25

This week Brandon’s and Jane cover 1991’s Soapdish. We discuss everything from 1980’s Kevin Kline’s comedic genius to Sally Field’s innate ability to capture every very human emotion. We also discuss that problematic ending too. Lots of laughs and a few critiques (Which is how my co-host describes a night with her in her Hinge bio). Listen wherever you get your pods! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Rent-A-Cop (Remastered)

2026/06/19

Enjoy this remastered edition of our 20th episode, originally picked by Brandon and released on September 23, 2021. It's Liza. It's Burt. It's Rent-A-Cop. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Back to the Future Part II

2026/06/12

This week, Brandon and Jane go Back to the Future Part II. They discuss the fragile continuity of time travel films, draft dodging in the alternate timeline we live in, and the curious case of the two Jennifers. And of course, wigs, they talk about wigs. Press play and don't forget your hoverboard! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The Room

2026/04/24

This week, Brandon and Jane cover 2003 sensual psychological horror romance thriller, The Room. This is an unhinged conversation about an unhinged cinematic masterpiece. Denny, Tommy, Greg, Claudette and the rest of the gang are all here! The circumstances are just as implausible as you remember them. There’s even a few saucy scene reenactments 👄. You don’t wanna miss this one! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Back to the Future

2026/04/10

Great Scott! We finally got Brandon to see this movie! We worship at the alter or Marty McFly and Doc Brown and their quirky and at times confusing voyage to the past. We discuss how pretty Michael J. Fox was, how eccentric and talented Christopher Lloyd is and marvel at the fact that Biff never made it to prison for his crimes against Lea Thompson. Press play and take the journey with us back to 1985 and then back to 1955 where we all feel weird about the sexual tension between a boy and his mother. Don’t forget your skateboard! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Dogville

2026/04/03

This week, Brandon and Jane cover 2003 avant garde drama, Dogville. We chat about everything from modern fascism to Bertolt Brecht. We also discuss the controversies surrounding the director and the power of a good figurine. Listen where’d you get your pods! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The Lizzie McGuire Movie

2026/03/27

Is this really what dreams are made of? It depends on which podcast host you ask. If you’re Jane, of course! Hilary Duff was a major part of her childhood. If you ask Brandon, he will tell you that he suffered through for our deep abiding friendship and not even a trip around Rome could keep him interested. But this is what this podcast is about. This one is full of nostalgia and tangents as per usual, so press play if that kind of thing is what your dreams are made of. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The Baby

2026/03/20

This week Brandon and Jane watch the psychedelic thriller, The Baby from 1973. It centers around a social worker and her obsession with an eccentric family. She’s been assigned a new case involving the Wadsworth family and once they cross paths, their lives will never be same! Listen wherever you get your pods! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

SLC Punk!

2026/03/14

Join Jane and Brandon as they unpack late 90’s rebellion through the lens of the SLC Punk scene. One thing you need to know about us is that we will always stand 10 toes down for Matthew Lillard and we absolutely loved his performance in this classic. We are also joined by Devon Sawa, Jason Segal, and Adam Pascal for you musical theatre heads. Grab your glue for your perfect upstanding Mohawk and press play! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

2026/02/27

This week, Producer Dave brings you another remastered episode with a pick from Brandon originally released November 19, 2021. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The Favor

2026/02/13

This week, Brandon and Jane cover 1994’s The Favor. A movie that asks the age old question, “what would happen if I had my best friend sleep with my high school boyfriend from 15 years ago and report back to me?” It’s a romcom featuring a very early career Brad Pitt. We chat about everything from sex pacts to Sizzler. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

A Walk to Remember

2026/02/06

This week Brandon and Jane are covering 2002’s A Walk to Remember. We chat about everything from Mandy Moore’s iconic pop career to the strange wig atop Darryl Hannah’s head. Tangents include discussions of Wall Street movie drama as well as praise for Ashlee Simpson’s seminal 2003 album, Autobiography. We talk about the movie too, I promise. Listen wherever you get your pods. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
