Simplify Investment Approach & Maximize returns with 2-Funds for Life Strategy! Hello All - It is September 30th 2021 and if you or others are clueless about how to invest for retirement or are questioning if the "guy or gal" you use is providing good direction - this post may be helpful to you. Bottom line up front:  Invest your 401/IRA/etc in 2 Funds, a target date fund (targeted at date you plan to retire), and a Small Cap Value Fund.  For the target fund, invest your (AGE X 1.5)%, and remainder in the small cap fund.  For example - if you are30 years old, then (30X1.5=45), therefore 45% in target date and 55% in small cap value fund. Rebalance at least every 5 years but no more often than once a year... and that's it.  Invest 15% into 401k every pay day into these 2 funds at this mix - and move on with life! After closing on our FSBO (for sale by owner) purchased condo on July 2, we did a full renovation in 30 days.   We now have a safe place for our youngest 2 children to stay while finishing college as well as a place for family holidays. The current housing market is insane.  Absolute sellers market, pricing skyrocketing. Why is this happening?
